08/16/2018 - 9:35pm Well, I've learned to scan…

Well, I've learned to scan out and have a better view of what's happening around the field rather than just staring at the ball. I can sometimes tell ahead of time when a receiver has gotten or will get open, when a defense has beaten the play or when a rb will spring free, etc.

I'll also try and pay attention to who's in the game, not that it does me a whole lot of good.

As far as the nuts and bolts of what I'm looking at, usually no idea. I wait for write ups for that kind of stuff.

Jake Rudock played in 2015. 2016 was Wilton Speight.

If we had Rudock for one more year I think 2016 Michigan goes to the NC.

If you have the actual email then I would've reported this to the cable charters that manage this shit for the government. That would've almost certainly been fixed.

PFF literally just graded him as a safety.

08/09/2018 - 9:02am IDK man, this off seasons…

IDK man, this off seasons content seems WAY worse than any other off season. This whole place seems differen't, more m-livey.

I don't disagree with you one bit. It is their right to do so.

08/08/2018 - 10:45am So can my company, but it's…

So can my company, but it's not something I agree with. Your company essentially compels your behavior despite not paying you, which, imo, is wage fraud and a form of indentured servitude. Furthermore, if they did count that time as part of your pay then most companies would be paying their employees well below the minimum wage.

08/08/2018 - 10:41am So, rather than trusting the…

So, rather than trusting the legal system to sort the process were no resorting to virtue signalizing and vigilante style morality policing.

08/08/2018 - 10:33am I'm actually pretty strongly…

I'm actually pretty strongly of the opinion that companies should mind their own fucking business when their employees aren't at work. If you fail to show up and do your job because you got charged with a crime then you get fired for an unexcused absence but otherwise it's none of their fucking business. If your crime is directly related to the task at hand (IE, pedophilia for teachers), then it's also justifiable.

Beyond the obviousness of something like sharing trade secrets, the concept of employers being able to dictate your behavior while they aren't paying you under the guise of "representatives of the company" is absolute bullshit and, imo, a form of wage-slavery/wage-fraud.

08/08/2018 - 10:24am I'm not sure I know all the…

I'm not sure I know all the details of the PSU story but if I understand them correctly then I would argue that there is a HUGE difference between actively ignoring that a man you employ is using your employment to rape children - and - reporting that a guy and his wife were ipotentially nvolved in DV but the police never charging him with anything so you continue to employ him.

I don't think those situations are very similar and I'm sure you don't either.

08/08/2018 - 10:11am I'd like to know what firing…

I'd like to know what firing the guy fixes. Everyone keeps saying, "all they care about is winning." Ok, so you fire the guy, what does that fix? prove That you care about image? It doesn't even prove that you stand against DV, just that you care that you look like you care about DV. Is the guy gonna stop beating his wife? Almost certainly not, in fact, I'd argue that it might even make it worse.

What does it fix? And, why is it OSU's job to fix a private situation between a man and his wife. This isn't even OSU's business. This is between the man, his wife, and the police.

Jim Tressel actively let his players break a bunch of ncaa rules, things that actually got OSU punished. Urban Meyer continued to employ a guy that wasn't even charged with a crime. These situations aren't even close to the same.

Stop calling tips "life hacks" because, common nomenclature aside, that isn't at all what a hack is and it sounds fucking stupid.

This is, without a doubt, one of the stupidest comments that I have ever read on this board.

08/08/2018 - 9:32am Because OSU is a profit…

Because OSU is a profit making company and their athletics makes them a ton of money and there is zero proof that Urban did anything wrong other than keeping a shitbag on staff. Most profit driven places don't care too much if you're a shitbag if it makes them money. I know people around these parts seem to think that the world works based on some form of morality but it just doesn't. Almost everyone else in every business is cheating and/or doing shady shit and pretty much nobody else cares other than for the competitive leg up.

08/07/2018 - 8:21pm The great thing about shea…

The great thing about shea is that he doesn't need to be a world beater. Slightly above average QB play including the running threat he provides has us probably going 11-1 last year. I remember a lot of missed passes to absolutely wide open receivers that were only 10-15 yards down field.

08/06/2018 - 7:28pm I imagine that it's…

I imagine that it's different if you live in Michigan. But where I live the basic cable package doesn't have BTN which leads me to have to buy premium packages from the more expensive providers. 80/month to get everything via cable/dish or 50 for streaming.

Not a huge deal but still a deal.

08/06/2018 - 12:16pm 1) Most people still want…

1) Most people still want and will have a dedicated internet service. Since you've already got that paying significantly less than also paying for cable TV is what MOST people here are doing by choosing a cheaper streaming option.

2) It's nothing like your stupid gym analogy. It's like wanting to pay a lot less to still be able to watch football and getting exactly that. If you want to make your gym analogy accurate it'd be like paying $50 for a gym membership to get the exact workout you need rather than paying $100+ to have access to a bunch of other crap you will literally never use.

3) If I had an antenna I would get less than half of the Michigan games. Taking your advice of "going to a bar" to watch them would have me spending at least 10-20 per game on drinks snacks and tips which would cost every bit as much as just streaming.

4) Just because you couldn't moderate your TV consumption doesn't mean the rest of us suffer from that affliction. I have plenty of hobbies including walking, hiking, camping, canoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, playing with my dogs, guitar, cooking from scratch, spending time with my family, playing video games, studying to advance my career, stained glass, reading, and more.

08/06/2018 - 11:41am Watch ESPN is worse than…

Watch ESPN is worse than pirate streams. I have great internet and it is completely unwatchable.

Does Youtube TV have EVERYTHING needed to watch EVERY Michigan game? When I had Vue I didn't have live ABC and ended up having to pirate stream a good portion of the games last year.

You literally said "lose and you will be too". My argument is that the situation rarely plays out that way.

Took some criminal justice classes in KY. The only crimes that absolutely HAD to be charged were driving without insurance and dui.

08/04/2018 - 8:47pm Football rankings are…

Football rankings are fucking stupid. Teams frequently will drop in rank for losing to teams ranked higher than them while the teams that jump them did nothing to justify the jump. Shouldn't you lose to a team ranked higher than you, isn't that kinda the point of rankings?

Theoretically, if the season played out exactly the way the rankings say for Michigan and it's opponents then Michigan would lose to all of those teams but nothing about that should prevent them from being number 13, but there is no way a 5 loss Michigan is even in the top 25.

08/04/2018 - 8:28pm I don't hope he gets canned…

I don't hope he gets canned unless he really knew about all of it. I'd prefer he be there so that it didn't feel like Michigan could never beat him, if Michigan ever does. OSU fans will never care that he got fired for appropriate reasons, he'll always be some sort of hero to them. I'd rather tarnish that love by beating him, preferably at home this year.

IMO: Michigan 1 : OSU 2 is how it ALWAYS should be.

08/03/2018 - 8:26pm People need to chill the…

People need to chill the fuck out.

The committee was literally announced yesterday. These aren't nobodies with an absolutely clear schedule. They probably haven't even met yet and if they have it's probably only "met". You obviously aren't aware of how much time it takes to do all this.

These people have to pack, travel, and meet up, which probably would've taken all day today to accomplish. Then they have to actually gather all of the evidence, take statements, and analyze the data. That alone would take a couple days even if all the data was readily available and all the people were super cooperative. After that they have to review contracts, school policies, and laws to determine what, if any, violations were committed. Then there has to be negotiations regarding what the punishment will be. Will there be additional training like title IX stuff? Suspensions and for how long? If there are firings/separations then contracts need to be reviewed for buyouts and all that.

And, even if they do fire him, that doesn't mean they are going to announce it the day that it happens.

This isn't going to be a 2 day process. They won't waste time as if they can reinstate urban they'll want to do so ASAP, but that doesn't mean anything is going to happen right away. Just relax, man.

Quit being those people that hope he is an atrocious shit bag so that he doesn't continue to coach at OSU. It's pathetic how many people here are all faux outraged over this because they want Michigan to win a few more sports-ball games.

"I'd like to see an equal number of men and women"

I'd like to see the most qualified and capable people that could possibly be obtained, regardless of their sexual organs.

08/01/2018 - 10:11am How? What? Wait, hold on.

How? What? Wait, hold on.

First of all, recruiting hasn't changed one bit since Urban Meyer arrived at Ohio State. He isn't amassing any sort of talent wealth that he didn't already have by the time Jim Harbaugh arrived. This shit about "saving stuff for OSU" is crap. Michigan lost because of sub par QB and OL play, period.

Secondly, Michigan played into overtime AT OSU with Hokes recruits, an injured speight, and a pretty subpar OL. And 2017 saw what will probably be Harbaughs worst squad give OSU everything they could handle and was a mediocre QB away from probably winning that game.

Thirdly, OSU hasn't had more B1G championships under Meyer because he's not the world beater coach everyone thinks he is. He's a great coach, but he's not ia perfect coach. Also, the B1G is legit good, MSU has been a dominant football team for the last several years with an exception here or there, and PSU was a top 10 team in 2016.

07/28/2018 - 4:39pm i'm sitting right around 8…

i'm sitting right around 8 due to a bit of hype. Probably 7 after the season but the coaching changes have me excited. At this point I still really don't think anybody has a feel for what this team is going to be. Which, is now 3 years where the team feels like a complete unknown.

The defense should be good, I think eventually they are going to regress a bit but probably not this year.

But, pretty much the entire offense is going to be an unknown this year. HIgdon will probably be higdon, but you've also got a new QB or will peters resurge? Will any of them be good? What about WR, can black return to early last season form or even improve? Can DPJ improve? Anyone else stepping up? OL, how's the new coaching going to affect things? TE? FB? And, what about our special teams, apart from kickoff coverage it was pretty subpar last year.

So, it's almost hard to rate him almost because we have zero idea what this team is going to look like.

04/19/2018 - 9:18am How is anybody interpreting

How is anybody interpreting this as "good". I mean, it's not bad.

But it's basically.

Michigan/Shea: Claim A

Ole Miss: Response to claim A

Michigan/Shea: Claim A reworded

Ole Miss: They just reworded claim "A" so since we've already responded to that we have no further response.

Nothing about that sounds "positive" to me. Again, not negative, but nothing to get excited over.

04/12/2018 - 10:45pm I looked at youtube tv the

I looked at youtube tv the other day and noticed that it has ABC listed. With the playstation tv thing abc wasn't live so you couldn't get the Michigan games that aired.

So, do you know if YTTV has abc as live? Or, at least the sports?

I saw 8 replies and knew this was already going to be here.

02/25/2018 - 4:50pm I'm not saying he's not a

I'm not saying he's not a great coach, he will definitely go down in history as one of the better ones. But, with all the talent he has it'd be hard NOT to win games. He definitely is an elite recruiter. I personally think he has squandered all the talent he has. OSU really shouldn't be dropping games, in most years, prior to getting to the playoffs.

02/25/2018 - 6:32am I just watched the Ohio State

I just watched the Ohio State v Alabama game from 2014/15.

Ohio State most certainly did not come anywhere close to "road grading" alabama.

They had 5 td's.

1&2 were a result of some penalties and flukey plays

3 was a bomb pass with a massive and blatant hold, cardale was gonna get trucked.

4 was a pick 6

5 was ezekial elliot turning a stop at the line into a huge run by being ezekial elliot, any other RB gets stopped there, otherwise OSU's offense had become comnpletely ineffectual by that point.

For the most part Ohio States run game looked rather crappy and they faced pressure on every damn near every pass, Alabama was rushing 3 and 4 and getting through almost every time even against 6, OSU just had a great quick-pass game called and connected on a lot of them.

What bit of offense OSU did generate game from ezekial elliot and cardale jones playing out of their minds.

I didn't watch the game live but that game was ugly as fuck. Offenses looked like shit, yards came in spurts from penalties and flukey stuff, lots of stupid penalties and decisions. That game was just a show of shittily coached players that just happened to be some of the most freak athletes playing in the league.

It also happened to look a lot like our games against them. I'm getting quite convinced that Urban Meyer isn't really that elite of a coach, he just runs a system that's really hard to stop when you have the horses to run it. At the end of the day you aren't going to play perfect and his guys are absolutely going to outrun your guys.

If Alabama didn't shit the bed that game would've been an asswhoopin.

02/21/2018 - 8:21pm Favorite game when younger:

Favorite game when younger: Final Fantasy VII, I wasn't a little kid but I can't think of anything that really stuck with me as a "favorite" prior to it.

Favorite game as an adult: Mass Effect 1, followed pretty closely by Red Dead Redemption.

Also, Breath of The Wild was fun but seriously overrated.

02/18/2018 - 1:30am Don brown wasn't a failure.

Don brown wasn't a failure. He had the number 1 defense in the country at Ball St the previous year and had them up there competing in that range for a while before that.
