I mean they got 550 million for 3 years of advertising a penn sports book and the downside they now can’t take a 25 million dollar a year check from fan duel. That doesn’t seem like a bad deal to me. Penn just wrote them a 300 million check in January that they had the right to walk away from
They don’t get more games besides BTN fox sports 1 and the big money is from Fox nbc cbs and they still just get 1 game a week. Cbs is going to let fox show a 330 big 10 game they paid for being the only game is a league from 330-7 besides BTN
Fox and espn have both said they don’t want divisions anymore that’s why the big 10 and sec did away with them and I doubt they will change their mind. Fox wants the 4 west coast teams playing east coast as much as possible cause they can’t show any west coast home games for big noon kickoff
The priority of the conference is to make fox more money travel has nothing to do with it USC didn’t want them in they don’t care about the travel. The networks are going to want the 3 of the 4 west coast teams playing at least 2 games between PSU Mich OSu every year at least.
I have a feeling that UM OSU PSU and we know Nebraska will bring the fans to away games. If 3 of those 4 are in the same division that is more revenue for that 1 side of the league. That is another thing they will look at. Also if you split up them every year a team will get to have 3 of the big 4 on there schedule and at least 1 of them at home 1 year with 2 the next year.

they will use . Competitive fairness 2. Rivalries 3. Geography. I think he is more or less saying us OSU, PSU will not be in the same division.
I like PSU and Nebraska kicking off the season with us and OSU closing it
