I was in Kalamazoo for the WMU Syracuse game and Syracuse gashed this D.

I will say that Western looked physically smaller and less athletic than Syracuse but their QB hit several long passes with some perfect long ball throws - to WRs who go to the ball...

To be fair, He has already forgot that he lied about lying and he is not sure if he recalls any untruths that may have occurred.

02/20/2018 - 11:08am The NCAA wouldn't let Beilein see Austin Hatch after

his plane crash...

They probably have dirt on him contacting the hospital  about Ausin during a no contact period

Waiting until March Madness to bring down the hammer on us

10/05/2017 - 5:46pm I agree with this, How would this "Tip Chart" look for previous

M/MSU games?

08/10/2017 - 12:36am Brian - would you care to humor my curiosity by adding the PFF

The PFF passing Grade for our O-Line for each game.

My theory is that his numbers were much better when our O-line was not nearly getting him killed

12/05/2016 - 12:58pm MSU v Dignity final is 3-9

I believe this has already been confirmed

04/12/2016 - 10:38am What would fix this quickly is a handful of high school coaches

or players refusing to prioritize visits to schools who supported the ban.

01/12/2016 - 12:43pm We'll always proudly consider you a Wolverine.

Be great!

Go Blue!

12/07/2015 - 9:07am Can you graph yards per carry? I'd expect an upward trend.

I would prefer you use the same scale (say 0 to 7.5) for each player. Thank you

11/04/2015 - 4:13pm I WONDER if the statistics would validate this analysis - ie,

what was the offensive rebound rate of opposing centers when they were covered by the Sweater?

Certainly Doyles shots blocked and altered rate doesnt explain enough of the rebounding deficit by itself

06/11/2013 - 3:34pm These facts - particularly the Pryor All Big 10 when he scored

Single digits on his NFL Wonderlick test should get much more attention.

Ohio State and the Big Ten academics should suffer intense embarassment for having an illiterate player held up as an All Big Ten representative of academic achievement

04/01/2013 - 7:34am Shouldn't we have burned some couches?

I'm confused

05/26/2012 - 8:00am plus midwest families with

plus midwest families with talented players interested in education will jump at the alternative.

If they really want to freak out the NCAA status quo they should work with MLB to get the draft moved.

More exposure for their free farm system is precious to the other pro leagues

05/26/2012 - 7:44am I love this idea. How can we get it more coverage/traction

More scholarships would be great but would be tough on the big east, CUSA and MAC schools we would invite to join us.

where would big ten quality baseball compare to the options?

11/30/2011 - 10:51am Tom Archdeacon is a great writer - hard to believe

he is  still here in Dayton.

Naturally he knows Roundtree and Shaw from their Dayton days.

12/14/2010 - 12:51am I think it is GREAT news that the division names suck so bad -

now people will resort to calling the divisions the Michigan division and the Ohio St division

(or Wolverine / Buckeye).

Immediately clear which group your talking about.

11/23/2010 - 5:48pm Point #1 is significant enough that it should be mentioned

(along with kicking) as a positive for this offense.

Think about what you said "Starting field position does not affect the likelyhood of this offense scoring points".  If that were true for all teams then the game of football would be played much differently.  Essentially, there would be almost no punting or long kickoffs.  Given our D performance this may not be a bad idea.

11/17/2010 - 11:35am The loudest Boo on Saturday

The loudest Boo on Saturday came during a Third Quarter timeout when the West Lafayette weather man walked onto the field and spoke to the crowd over the loud speakers.

("I'm XYZ weatherman from News 7. ....)

Purdue fans, Michigan fans, I think even the players were booing him.  Pretty funny.

Not funny that he had forcast 64degrees and cloudy with the possibility of some late afternoon showers.  Then we sat in a 44 degree, windy driving rainstorm for 3 hours.

If Michigan had scored when we threw the pick 6 before half the stadium would have been empty for the second half.  people were getting ready to leave when that pulled them back into the game.

11/15/2010 - 12:59pm An adjustment to your offensive stats - Scoring

Remove defensive and special teams scores from the offensive scoring totals (OSU has at least 4tds).  Offense has nothing to do with these.

I think projecting how many points M has lost to below average FG and xtra point kicking to our total would also give a more realistic read of the offense.

11/15/2010 - 12:37pm I think DeAnthony's routine was hilarius - until he clicks on

the Freep article at the end - that goes way too far and is unforgiveable.

No excuse for supporting that rag.

11/15/2010 - 12:37pm I think DeAnthony's routine was hilarius - until he clicks on

the Freep article at the end - that goes way too far and is unforgiveable.

No excuse for supporting that rag.

10/25/2010 - 10:01pm Bonus point to Demons: He was doing this without Mike Martin ...

destroying the interior of the OLine (like he had in every game other than Iowa this season)

08/03/2010 - 5:42pm Shorter lines. Sounds great. How about passing out free water -

IN bottles, once inside.  At 0.10/bottle the expense would be minimal and the goodwill would be great.

01/14/2010 - 2:09pm Note that Bo explains Michigan's early season 1981 problems

by citing injuries, lack of depth and youth.

Certainly that team had more depth on D than we did in '09.

I assume Michigan fans were all over him for making excuses, quoting Yost about how the expectation is for the position, not the player...

11/17/2009 - 4:55pm Warren started the year plaing like an elite corner, but he has

not been at that level since Iowa. Not sure why.
And opponents have not shown the fear they normally attribute to a first round CB. I think he still projects as a late 3rd at best - assuming his times are better than most expect.
Barwis is his biggest hope for a high level draft status.

11/05/2009 - 9:57am Saban recruited 83 defensive players. Add 1 kicker and 1 Punter

(total 85) and I assume he didn't recruit any offensive players.

Obviously going over 85 would be disingenuous, and I know Saban would never do such a thing.

11/05/2009 - 9:53am Coaches got a sneak peak at Witty - and now he will return a

a year older and a year further removed from his knee surgery.

Players get much closer to full strength in the second year.

If they liked him OK as a true frosh this fall, he should be in the mix for BooBoo's spot after a winter with Barwis and a full spring/fall practice schedule.

02/24/2009 - 5:00pm Speaking of available Scholies - Alabama signed another 27

this year.

We know they were Full last season.

How do we expect them to work through the graduate/cut numbers in order to fit all 27 into school.

Next year, when they need to get rid of 27 more, how will they explain the attrition?

Why doesn't this up or out system cause them to have very low academic advancement scores (wasn't that the whole point?)

12/20/2008 - 11:25pm He was not accepted into school

Michigan (Rich) helped place him at Tulsa when he couldn't enroll
