01/02/2018 - 10:39am How about the receivers coach from

USC? Those guys caught some tough balls, IMO.

01/02/2018 - 10:38am I think for each team it was

something different. I think that UGA's defense is good, but OU's offense is REALLY good. A lot of playmakers and a great QB getting them the ball. OU's defense? They were bad all year and showed it again in this game. Players not is good positions to make plays, poor tackling, missed assignments - wouldn't be surprised to see OU make a change at defensive coordinator this offseason.

01/02/2018 - 10:35am I live in Oklahoma and my GF

is a season ticket holder so we went to most of the home games and a few of the away games. Before this year I only ever really payed attention to Michigan, OSU and then whatever were the most interesting games that week - so getting to watch OU all year was pretty interesting and I noticed a few things throughout the season.

1) OU had an outstanding offensive live, they were big and gave Baker A TON of time to throw the ball consistently. Against UGA was the first time that I'd seen him under serious pressure all year.

2) Baker is pretty good. Granted he always had a lot of time to sit in the pocket and survey defenses, but this year was always a throw first guy and waited a long time for some plays to develop.

3) Lincoln Riley is an excellent playcaller. He had a lot of plays designed to utilize whoever would give him the best matchup that week. Dimitri Flowers had a huge game against OSU and I dont think had that same impact in another game this year. The main target of the offense seemed to shift from game to game based on matchups. He also had a few wrinkles that he would throw in from time to time - not sure what to call it but he utilized the "Bob Stitt forward pitch" a few times, the Baker receiving TD in the playoff, Kyler Murray doing a QB draw on the 2nd play of the game he started completely catching the defense offguard as a few examples.

4) The WRs and RBs got better as the year went on. At the start of the year there seemed to be a lot of poorly ran routes, RBs missing holes and dropped passes. But after a few games, they really cleaned this up and that's when OU's offense started clicking.

5) OU's defense was terrible. I know this year has been tough, but I take some pride to know that we've got one of the best defenses. I watched OU consistently not know how to line up, be confused running players on and off the field and really never noticed the defense adjusting. I thought since OU hired Ruffin that he'll be the defensive coordinator next year.

How does this translate to us?

I think the biggest thing is fixing the offense and that starts with the offensive line. I think all the changes this year were an indication that the coaching staff wasn't happy with the level of play - of course, their job to recruit the players and coach them up. Next is having a QB who is confident and consistent. Shea Patterson? Peters after another offseason? Someone else? Finally I think that skill position play needs to improve. I couldn't help but think watching the OSU/USC game that USC had some really good WRs and if our WRs had caught some of the balls those guys did, we may have had another win or two.

09/11/2016 - 12:15am Passing Game

They completed 6 passes. Congrats UCF!

04/22/2016 - 9:43pm I mean I'm mostly just

disappointed that I'm going to have to wait until Tuesday to see 'Bad Harbaugh.' Can't wait.

01/14/2016 - 6:21pm Not but

They've got Lebron.

01/04/2016 - 12:00pm One place where you can find a listing of

grad assistants and a ton of other useful information is in the season guide.

01/03/2016 - 5:47pm This would actually be pretty

shocking. I didn't think that franchise valued winning. Just wanted everyone to be happy.

10/17/2015 - 8:50pm This might sound crazy but ...

this is a loss that reminds me why i love college football. We've already won as many games this year as we did last year. Team looks SO much more poised (minus one play) and has so much upward potential. Jim Harbaugh did this in one year with an Iowa QB! Lots to be excited about. Just gives us one more reason to hate on MSU.

09/20/2015 - 1:13am If we live in a world that's striving to be so PC

that we can't chant that another team sucks after we stop them on 4th down, well, I'd be pretty disappointed. For reference, on kickoffs OSU students chant "O-H-I-O rip his f***ing head off."

09/17/2015 - 2:08pm This is just ...

09/14/2015 - 6:57pm Well that was great until

the ads started. "The core, the core, the core!"

09/10/2015 - 6:13pm Try to come into Ann Arbor

from North Campus. Steer clear of the south side of town for your route in, I-94 can really turn into a parking lot. I've had a lot of luck coming in through the North side of town and driving across campus to help avoid traffic. I've parked before at the parking structure between S Forest and Church. I'm guessing this is probably about a 20 minute walk to the stadium but it also really helps with being able to get out of AA after the game and avoid traffic as well.

05/06/2015 - 8:02pm Charleston

If you have any interest in military/US history I would recommend going to Patriot's Point and visiting the USS Yorktown. If you've never had the opportunity to step foot on an aircraft carrier its quite the experience.

01/15/2015 - 4:24pm The question I have is

why isn't he in school right now? OSU started classes on Monday ...

09/11/2014 - 9:34am Stubbs is literally

the best store bought BBQ sauce I've ever had. They've got a variety of different flavors that are all amazing. I would personally recommend the Sweet Heat (if you like something with a bit of bite but not too much), Spicy (for those that do like a kick), or the Smokey Mesquite. Also, these sauces are made with no HFCS which is just an added bonus.

To answer your question I've been able to find it in Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio, so its pretty widespread. Seems that you might have better luck finding it at a higher end grocery store.

08/19/2014 - 8:53am I can't say I agree with how

this post started, but it is an interesting comparison. I think bottom line is that we've got two similar cases of kids that made a mistake and schools reacting to it a bit differently. Hopefully they both use this as a wake up call and learn from their mistakes.

10/13/2013 - 5:13am Also the fact that Matt Millen was

Dogging the defense as bad as he was? Are you kidding me? I saw one good Penn State drive in the first half that wasn't started by the offense coughing it up. Mattison gets his defense playing out of his mind and his counterpart on offense is sitting in the booth screaming "I DONT CARE IF WE LOST YARDS RUNNING AGAIN ON 1ST DOWN ITS WHAT WE DO!" Hack played decent for a freshman, he'll even great in the last drive where he put the ball exactly where he needed too, TWICE. Reality is the offensive play calling left the door open through the 4th quarter and 4OTs and we see how that turned out. Bill O'Brien went for it on 4th down in his own territory and got stuffed while we continued to run into a line that can't open a single hole for positive running yards bc that's what we do.

10/13/2013 - 5:04am Here's what this game felt like ...

"We're going to call plays like we have a running game because that's what we do."

08/24/2013 - 6:52pm I was watching and

the weirdest thing about the hit is that it was completely clean. QB was rolling out to his right near the sideline, tried to square up to throw downfield and the defender just tackled him cleanly. The defender definitely DID NOT lower his helmut and it looked as if there wasn't contact between their two helmets. That being said the defender did hit him pretty hard and then he hit the ground hard. I've read just as much as anyone else about concussions but without being a Dr who knows - seems that there was a strong possibility that if he had one earlier in the game it made the repercussions of this hit worse.

04/23/2013 - 7:42pm I can confirm that this is 100%

correct. Every game my senior year I got to my seats before kickoff to watch as sorority girls dressed like they were going to anything but a football game (literally, nothing maize or blue) would roll in plastered between halfway through the 1st Q and halftime. The worst part is the reason I noticed them is that they would walk down past my seats to where theirs were in front of ours.

04/09/2013 - 12:05pm One more thought on the subject ...

in my post-loss rage I did end up unfriending about 10 people on Facebook making comments about Ohio. Irony #1? None of these people actually went to Ohio. Irony #2? Oh yeah, that team lost WEEKS ago.

Go Blue!

Beat Ohio!

04/09/2013 - 12:03pm This article really sums up

the season perfectly. There was a point last night while watching the game that I thought "damn we're really getting screwed on these calls, this is why I hate basketball." As I sat there watching our team try and fight and stay in the game in the 2nd half, this thought was replaced by "regardless of whatever happens in this last 20 minutes, this is one of the most amazing team's I've ever watched in my life."

I live in Texas and was 50/50 on attending the games in Dallas until a few friends convinced me to go by reminding me "you never know how long you're going to be in Texas" and "how many times will you get to see your team play in the Sweet 16?" I ended up going and had seats right above where Michigan came onto the floor and couldn't have been more happy that I attended. Were the wins awesome? Of course. But I think what will stick with me more is how this was a TEAM. No egos, one guy after the other stepping up out of nowhere to contribute to the win. After watching these guys run back to the locker room after two wins, I'm never going to forget how genuinely excited they were to win. Mitch McGary is running up the tunnel, jumping as high as humanly possibly to high five everyone leaning over the railing to try and congratulate them.

Congratulations to this team, to Beilein and to the entire coaching staff. Its amazing to see a team win and do it what feels like the 'right' way. No trash talk, no egos, just one guy after another stepping up and putting the TEAM first.

Go Blue!

10/02/2012 - 7:54pm I do this everyday ...

its called "time spent at work."

10/02/2012 - 7:52pm First time I've actually watched

one of these and Gorgeous Al has an awesome voice. Who knew?!?

08/30/2012 - 9:51am Don't forget to bring some

bug spray as well. West Nile problems going on in Dallas right now.

08/28/2012 - 4:04pm I live in Midland and

as far as the ESPN games I've had good luck with catching all of them. It seems like even if UM games get bumped from ESPN or ABC, they end up on ESPN2 or ESPNU and all the games are usually available on ESPN3. If you've got B10 network then you're good to go.

08/28/2012 - 11:54am In regards to twitter and social media ...

I think it should be addressed on two different levels. For recruits still in high school the parents should set the standard for what they allow their kids to do. Does this country not work like that anymore? When I was in HS I didn't have a cell phone, but with that being said my younger brother got one when he was 14 - but my parents are the ones that were responsible for this decision. Obviously parents are going to have a HUGE range of opinions on this and it seems to be a given now that even kids in HS NEED cell phones. I read something recently that a recruit had said about people calling him constantly to try and get more information from him and all taht I thought was "wow I'd probably be inclined to turn off my cell phone."

As far as once they get to college I've always kind of thought that athletes getting in trouble in college gets WAY overblown. Obviously some of the issues are serious and I'm certainly not trying to downplay the seriousness of a DUI ... but if you take 100 college athletes and 100 college non-athletes and compare the number that get in trouble with the law, I would be pretty shocked if the numbers weren't comparable (how many friends did you know that got MIPs?). For twitter - the players can control that. I've never been in a position to have that much attention focused on me and maybe it is overwhelming to the point that you can't get enough, but if you choose to keep your life private, you can do it. Its all a matter of how much you are willing to share.

08/23/2012 - 9:40pm Also, in regards to Paul Brown Tiger Stadium

the facility really is first class. Its an older stadium but theyve taken care of it - fieldturk and covered seating on the home side. Massillon is one of the most storied programs in the state and the town really does revolve around football. They touched on it briefly but right next to the stadium theyve got an indoor fieldhouse that's less than 5 years old. I've seen it in person and it definitely is comparable with Al Glick Fieldhouse - to give you some perspective.

08/23/2012 - 9:34pm Spotted Crable on the

sidelines. I know that he's been mentoring high risk students at one of the Massillon middle schools in some sort of teaching capacity. Maybe he had some influence on Gareon's decision?

04/23/2012 - 6:10pm There's no doubting that Brady is

the type of coach Ohio fans would love. Hard nosed, grind it out type attitude reminds everyone of Woody and Bo. As far as with Urban, after the whole Tressel thing theyre ready to cling to any big name. Lets not forget that these same fans were calling for Tressel's head after just one loss the past couple of years. I know we went through some really rough times with RR but there isn't a true Ohio fan who doesnt remember the pain and suffering they experienced with Cooper at the helm. They want someone who's going to talk big and beat Michigan, as long as that happens they'll be happy.

04/19/2012 - 6:27pm So how do you

get caught doing this. I remember during the school year I'd see the gate at the parking lot off of S Division broken at LEAST once a month.

03/04/2012 - 7:06pm Very rare. B10 is hands down

the best wrestling conference. Like the equivalent of the SEC in football, if not even more dominant. Throughout the B10 season a wrestler is bound to see multiple wrestlers from the top 10 in the country. When you take this into account and that the matches between top teir wrestlers are typically so close this is really amazing. Congrats Kellen!

12/11/2011 - 8:09am I'm glad that somebody finally said

something. I mean I understand how its profitable for the NCAA to have OSU be a good team but I can't remember EVER hearing something happen like this before. If the NCAA was gonna grant this waiver wouldn't all schools that were making a coaching change do this?

12/11/2011 - 8:06am They were talkings about this on ESPNradio

the other day. Unfortunately(?) the Kardashians are such a huge brand that whatever Odom's salary is pales in comparison to what that family makes in a year. Hope that they dont end up like Kim and her former(?) husband.

12/04/2011 - 12:36am Got sick of hearing that LSU and Alabama

were the best two teams in the country ... when there were still games to play. How can you make up your mind with games left to play by some of the teams in contention? Really dislike that some of these voters make up their mind before everything is decided on the field.

12/04/2011 - 12:29am Couldn't believe that Va Tech

was ranked #5 today before their game today. Their conference schedule was terrible.

12/04/2011 - 12:26am When Boise State lost

it was a close game and they dropped a ton of spots. Would expect Houston to drop even more since the game wasn't as close.

11/29/2011 - 9:08pm Hope that you're planning on

wearing your Michigan gear. Got to rub it in every chance you get.

11/19/2011 - 6:40pm I was pretty disappointed that Bo

Pelini kept himself so composed. I would've loved to see a meltdown on the sideline. Side note: Mike Gundy really kept it together last night too, come on guys, step up the intensity! Brady was pointing the heck outta people when Nebraska was trying to score at the end of the game.

11/17/2011 - 9:01am I really enjoy

when we hit the time of the year that you start seeing these games during the week. With some of the shootouts that theyve had the past couple weeks its made for some good football.

11/16/2011 - 10:32am Classy move from a

University president that's got things under control.

11/16/2011 - 10:30am So what about all the people that

wanted McQueary to be locked away for life? Or the people that were making death threats. Are they going to apologize now or take back what they said? I understand how terrible this has been for the alleged victims but in my opinion what's been lost in this whole situation is due process. People have no problem convicting these guys in the 'court of public opinion' and already view them as guilty. Its disappointing that the reaction has been so negative so quickly, as opposed to being rational about the situation and letting the facts come out in court. What ever happened to 'innocent until proven guilty'?

11/13/2011 - 12:37pm Fighting Admiral Ackbars

It's a trap!

11/12/2011 - 9:07pm He also appeared

to get a helmet to helmet on the same play. Boo for a no call.
