Seems like all long shots except for DiCosmo. If we get the Sanristil kid, maybe that helps with Cine. All in all, still a pretty good defensive class.

Also, Rodas Johnson plays with Joey Velazquez at De Sales. Branham goes to Northland. Both Columbus schools though.

Losing Wheatley, Sr. didn’t help either. I think the Moore hire will pay dividends here though not in this class because relationships have already been formed, but 2020 and beyond should be better.

Honestly, I could think of about 50 movies I could put into my Top 5, but I'll give it a shot.

1. Shawshank Redemption

2. Saving Private Ryan

3. Bull Durham

4. Good Will Hunting

5. Silver Linings Playbook

Side note, if you ever get a chance, The Ohio State Reformatory (Old prison where Shawshank was filmed) in Mansfield does overnight tours. I did one a few years ago. It was awesome!

Did the board just get "Catfished?" The OP, who's actually the OP's brother using his sister's account, tries to get us all to talk about why the staff should offer AJ Carter. Then, when the OP's sister's account starts getting negged heavily, he creates his own account to come to her defense. You can't make this stuff up.

I don't know if AJ Carter is going to be any good in college, but one thing's for sure, after this, I'm going to check on his career from time to time.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but I can't help but feel like the Reese ship has sailed, even without Fields at UGA. I know we have Solomon on campus and his brother nearby, but Reese has basically lived at UGA this year and hasn't visited us since the Spring Game. I guess stranger things have happened though (i.e. Solomon).

I was going to go with this one too.

08/03/2017 - 12:54pm Not familiar with Michigan

Not familiar with Michigan law, but I handle a lot of public records requests in criminal cases in Ohio. This is spot on. Post-trial there are very few redactions, but pre-trial releases are heavily redacted to protect the accused, the victim and the integrity of the judicial process. This is especially true in cases involving sex offenses and lots of media attention, which are both present here.

06/09/2017 - 12:49pm Juveniles are not convicted

Juveniles are not convicted of crimes (unless they are tried as an adult). They are adjudicated for delinquent acts. So he is not a convicted felon. The difference may not seem important, but legally it is very significant.

This. As a prosecutor, I can honestly say that in the overwhelming majority of the sex offense cases I've handled, the Defendant / Perpetrator has at some point been a victim of a sex offense. Certainly not an excuse, but it should be noted.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the moniker per the Twitters was "The Great Wall" not the "Fab Five," thus doing away with the need to include a number and therefore not hurting anyone's feelings.

08/18/2016 - 3:46pm During law school I interned

During law school I interned for 3 years in a Big Ten school's athletic compliance office. Like any job, it has it's positives and negatives. My favorite part was writing petitions to the NCAA for waivers on behalf of injured student athletes seeking additional years of eligibility. It was the only time I felt like I was doing something to benefit the student athlete. A lot of the time you are collecting seemingly useless data to report to the NCAA. I can remember having to call the summer employers of all of the athletes on the men's swimming team to collect their pay stubs to show the NCAA they were actually working for their money. Another negative is that, in my experience, nobody liked you. To many of the coaches and athletes, you were agents of the NCAA sent to meddle in their lives and tell them they can't do stuff. To the NCAA you were part of the particular athletic department and not worth their time. I briefly considered it as a career post-law school, but when I saw the starting salary I quickly determined it wasn't worth it.

02/25/2016 - 9:51am During my senior year of

During my senior year of college, we played the number one team in the country (Division III baseball) at their place. They were undefeated and we were a .500 team. We beat them pretty handily. I went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI's. It may have just been a regular season DIII baseball game, but any time you beat the number one team in the country on their field, it's going to be a memorable experience.

02/20/2016 - 2:26pm Not that I'm defending the

Not that I'm defending the SEC, because I'm fine with the spring practices ini Florida, but these games are a part of the Baseball team's regular season. The more apt comparison would be if the baseball team went to Florida during Fall Practice. Back in my college baseball days, we always had a spring trip as part of our regular season, but all of our fall practices were at home.

I got 3rd place, but I'm considering it a huge win given the fact that I spent half of my auction budget on Andrew Luck and Demarco Murray. Blake Bortles, Eric Decker and a late season pick up of Deangelo Williams made it possible. Not to mention unexpected good seasons from Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Crabtree. If I hadn't lost in the semifinals I would have won the championship 179 - 159.

12/09/2015 - 3:20pm I think the problem with this

I think the problem with this scenario is that we still do not have a LB coach. The NCAA limits the number of coaches you can have, therefore by adding Pruitt as a DC to replace Durkin as DC / LB Coach, we would be unable to add a LB coach due to those limitations. We would still have to get rid of somebody in order to add a LB coach.

12/04/2015 - 3:49pm It probably fits personnel

It probably fits personnel better. Their JR QB, Perry Hills ran for over 100 yards in three straight games, including 170 against OSU. Plus, if they can hold on to him, Dwayne Haskins, is still committed to Maryland. He's listed as a Pro Style Quarterback, but he's still pretty athletic for the QB position.

12/04/2015 - 3:14pm Drew Singleton, Top 200 LB

Drew Singleton, Top 200 LB from Paramus, NJ? If I recall correctly, he was on campus last weekend. Maybe after a week of thinking about it, he's ready to continue that Paramus Pipeline.

12/04/2015 - 11:47am Why not? To me, it seems like

Why not? To me, it seems like the perfect spot for him to sit and wait for his "dream job," if he has one. He can sit at Houston and win 10 to 11 games every year until that perfect job comes around. Houston is in fertile recruiting ground and is in a conference that isn't going to be tough to win, but still has gotten some press of late (Temple, Memphis, Navy, etc. all ranked or were ranked at some point). Maybe that perfect job comes around next year, maybe it doesn't. In the mean time get paid and keep winning ball games.

11/18/2015 - 2:54pm I don't know what are chances

I don't know what our chances are with Dontavious Jackson, 4 star linebacker out of Texas, but he's high up there on my wish list. I think his official visit is scheduled for The Game.
