12/28/2010 - 7:43pm I know he is

a in state defensive tackle, but seriously why would you want him if  he does not want us? Like everyone has said it is not like Joe Pa will be coaching for the next 4 years, and if he is  then take 100 m go points from me when that time comes. I figure by then I should at least have that much lol.

12/28/2010 - 7:21pm Any idea

what his forty time is? Saw on ESPN that he was being considered as a 1st-3rd round pick.

12/28/2010 - 1:38am R U

serious? All I needed was 6 points to move ahead and round 1 of 2 for the title in my fantasy championship game and Michale Turner goes and gives me a whopping two points. R U  kidding me ? I guess I cant be to mad considering I played 8 guys and the opponent played nine and only outpointed me by 4 whole points. Forgot to swap out Andre Johnson for Jacoby Ford. Gotta do better next week. Hopefully Johnson plays especially since Gates might not play for me in the final week.

12/24/2010 - 12:07am Not to be talking

out of turn but I see why you have negative points. Your comment is just stupid and it will not lend it's hand to the masses. The people in here probably feel the same way about your thought processs and how you choose to use it to come up with your analysis. Just saying . Yeah , I know I am low but damn I thought the object was to be positive not negative. You sir are a example of what I choose not to become in this blog, a whiner. So get over it every team has their up's and down's and you are naive to believe that Michigan would not go through a transition period, but like most when the good times roll you will be on the bandwagon. MGoBlog will have first class tickets. Let the good times roll. P.S. I waffle when it looks bad , but I am not a kid anymore who believes that my team will always win, and also understands that their will be better days.Losing builds character.

12/23/2010 - 11:56pm Not to be a

dick but what does his beliefs have to do with anything? If he can coach do you honestly think that he would tell a player that if they were gay that they could not play or that God would hate  them.?The reason I ask is because you say they will commit suicide and if I recall his son commited suicide and he was straight and not gay. I mean if you dont like him that is one thing, but to say he could not be a good role model because he stands by his individuality, which makes him who he is and one of the NFL's former great coaches is wrong.

12/23/2010 - 11:31am I think he went to

Pershing High School in Detroit. Think he was getting recruited by smaller schools, I could be wrong. Can someone help me ? I rememeber reading about him a about a year or so ago.

12/23/2010 - 11:25am R U saying

big brother Al tried to prevent little brother from attending Michigan? Why would he do that?

12/22/2010 - 3:44pm I was

thinking the same thing as you. If you go back to last year and compare this year I really think they improved a lot especially in the running game blocking wise. Saw a few plays where the tight ends made key blocks to free Denard for long ones. In the passing game I think they were more sure handed this year than last. With another off spring of seasoning with Denard they will be even better. Denard will come to realize that they are his safety valves when things break down.

12/22/2010 - 3:41pm I think

this was a good assessment, especially concerning the future. There is always room for improvement, and hopefully we get our special teams situation taken care of. Not so sure about giving away a scholarship though on a kicker. What Gibbons needs to do is stop thinking so much and go back to basics.

12/20/2010 - 12:23pm Now that is a comment

that I can appreciate. If I could give you a( +1) I would.

12/19/2010 - 8:51pm I see

where you are going with this, and I think I like it. Is that bad?

12/15/2010 - 3:58pm R U

serious the best Curry of the Curry brothers coming out of Bishop Gallagher was Ray and he went to Toledo. I do not know how them boys even got on the field, maybe special teams but not starters. I had the opportunity to play against and scrimmage them, and they were ok, but I dont know about bringing them back. Ray would have been good at UM very fast. Sahadi had good players(see Braylon Edwards, Jesse Johnson) so it is sad that he is gone.

12/12/2010 - 2:12pm Does the same standard

apply for a anybody who was young at the time and knew no better? Look at it like this, you let your family down do they disown for you not acknowledging the fact that you did wrong or should they forgive you only when you decide to accept blame and thenthey explain and  show you why they feel the way they do about the situation. Blame Frieder before you blame Webber. Without Webber we get no recognition other than the fact that we won in "89". We do not know all the particulars surrounding his case that is unless you go by what Mitch Albom says in his book. This is the same Mitch that was fawning over the kid in high school. The media helped create Webber and he ran with it. My little league football coach worked with his father Mayce at Ford, and they were not rich by any means. I read the situation as one where Martin helped kids out that did not have a lot. I agree if Webber did take money or anything he should apologize, but he owes me nothing. He was young and made a mistake. The NCAA is still making money off images of the Fab Five and their likeness. Im just saying the NCAA is highy sacriligious when it comes to these things and "at the end of the day" they are taking advantage of these kids and we need to know they make mistakes and it is all about learning and not repeating them. Sorry for ranting and p.s. Izzo had Mateen out the program after his recruiting trip(rollover) so do not forget to thank Izzo. Part of me wants to believe that is why Cleaves NBA career was cut short.

12/12/2010 - 12:12pm You sir

are a cool friend, way to help a co-worker out. Sweet!!!!!!!!!

12/11/2010 - 11:49am Can someone

help me out. I have been thinking for the longest what ever happened to playing for the school and not the coach? If I were a coach I would like to think that the message is simple come to my great university and play for a great program, and if things fall into place then you may be able to go on an play professionally. Why does it always have to be about whether the coach stays around or not? Shouldn't the only concern be about getting a quality education and allwoing the chips to fall where they may? I understand everything is business but why not look at the big picture and the lifelong friendships etc that you build up. I thought it was about turning boys into men. Sorry for ranting just trying to understand the world of college football.

12/11/2010 - 11:42am If I

had points I would +1 you for that, funny.

12/11/2010 - 11:39am Yeah I must

admit that 30 for 30 on the Canes was amazing. I used to think that FSU was the big dogs that is up until I got all the information needed. Them boys were mad crazy and off the chain. Excuse my ebonics session for the day. The way they talked about Deion Sanders was hilarious. It seems like everybody whose everybody played for the Canes in the mid to late 80's. If I recall we played them in like 86 at the Big House. UM(us ) was top five as was Miami(if im not mistaken). Good game from what I remember. Boy do I pine for the old days(winning)and playing great competition[ had to make that abundantly clear].

12/10/2010 - 3:36pm Thank you

for the clarification sir.

12/10/2010 - 8:45am Is this the

kid whose father played befensive back for UM under Bo? Isn't he from Ohio? or is this a different kid?

12/07/2010 - 4:16pm what are his

measureables? Is he good at man to man or zone? Any additional information on Jarrett?

12/06/2010 - 10:11pm My Uncle played in that game,

Roosevelt Smith and he told me about how dirty the players down south were(not that they arent today). At the end of pile ups they would eye gouge, punch nuts, etc. Very physical yet talented players, could not understand the reasons behind the dirty play, other than trying to intimidate, why in the hell they needed to.

10/18/2010 - 7:46pm I thirded that

I thirded that sentiment.

10/18/2010 - 7:33pm Onsides kick

I like the onsides where the kicker dribbles it and recovers it himself . Do not know if our kicker could have done that but the thought of it being successful makes you wonder "what if"?

10/18/2010 - 7:31pm Agreed

100 percent I was thinking the same thing or maybe kicks it behind his own team. Now wouldn't that be something to see. Probably would have done it after we scored our second touchdown. Catch them when they least expect it. You cannot satisfy everyone, but I think at that point when we had some momentum that would have been good as any other time in the game.

10/18/2010 - 7:18pm It was

not Big Will but actually John Ferrara #74 gets knocked on his ass by Clayborn. Binns looks like he's in there but Clayborn had already blocked it. i think Big Will will be alright pardon the pun.

10/18/2010 - 7:16pm wrong guy I

thought the same until I watched it over again and the culprit is actually John Ferrara #74 is on his ass . Clayborn blocked it and Binns was right next to him. If kick had been higher as coach stated probably does not make a difference

10/17/2010 - 3:09pm You saw

and heard the same thing that I heard. The only thing I could think of was maybe a delay on tv that made it seem like it was after the play. The only other option is history(Indiana game) kinda like those fouls they call in basketball. Terrible because it was before whistle blew.

10/15/2010 - 2:20pm Yeah but

they hate us so much we get the negative publicity. I guess it is true what they say "The Haters Gonna Hate". We will get much better sooner than later.

10/13/2010 - 1:06pm Very

informative post. Thanks for the numbers and I hope that it all falls into place.

10/11/2010 - 2:14pm Agreed,

Hate having to live in Michigan and hear all the Spartan fans running their mouths on top of them being the king in basketball even if it is short lived. The one thing that makes me really sick is they are #9 in BCS rankings and do not have to play OSU. They have this thing on tv that says we have not beaten these teams since 2007. I would take 3-9 with the wins being over ND, MSU,and OSU all day. That said Go BLUE and go dilithium !

10/11/2010 - 2:06pm When you say

Gordon to linebacker think Earnest Shazor or Taylor Mays. He could be somewhere in between with the right coaching ,and  eventually become really good in our secondary.

10/07/2010 - 10:22pm I find it funny,

amusing, and sometimes downright disrespectful that these talking heads have all the facts and fail to mention Nebraska had a kid in 1997 named Scott Frost who ran the triple option and if I recall was never injured. Did they say  back then every other week that someone is gonna hurt him? While I do not remember his playing weight I bet it was no more than 210 if that much and not at all very big, nor the freakish athlete that of Denard. Is it a stretch to say that the Haters are gonna hate no matter what? Wasn't Troy Smith about 5"11 195 ? While he did not run as much Denard he did and took his share of hits. I do not remember him missing any time. So I think the theory that eventually he will get hurt should take a backseat. The play he initially got hurt on will teach him to pick his spots, and I think people should just give it a rest. I never wish for an opponent to get injured and anyone who does is a poor sport along without having any class.

10/04/2010 - 12:57pm I think Floyd

was the guy who made the touchdown saving tackle on D.J Shoemate of UCONN earlier this season. If I can recall he is at least 220pds so I would think it is safe too say that he can tackle and strip. I feel we are expecting a bit too much from a very young defense. I think the guy is playing way better than he did this time last year so lets cut them some slack. At the end of the day they are amatuers and still learning their craft. Would you like a 3-2 team with a hardcore defense? or what we have right now and be 5-0 in college football not pro ball?

09/27/2010 - 2:38pm Is their

any truth to him(Hart ) commiting this upcoming weekend ? Read it in any earlier post.

09/25/2010 - 10:30pm In a

rush so sue me, but it is obvious you get the gist of my argument. Was not agreeing with him as it pertains to the kicking aspect but about the haters that hate on one another on this board. Do you remember the saying if you cant say something nice then dont say anything at all? If so then you should try it sometime. I know I messed up but it takes a real man to own up to it. Bet it made your day spotting my grammatical error. You the BMOC.

09/25/2010 - 5:42pm Hey Oracle I was feeling your

Hey Oracle I was feeling your comment earlier about kicking. I have not posted in a month simply because of the negativity on the board. I got neg bombed for having a screen anme that says my uncle played for Um and got the shit negged out of me. I am  UM fan and thought that while we may not all agree on most things that we were all Blue. I came on here and their are Ohio State fans and Notre Dame fans who have a positive rating and Blue fans with aanegative rating . now while I cannot speak for those I thought this was a blog about M fans and a place to get information. Not  place where some guys who have 20,000 points think automatically they are certified and in a better position that most and if you do not agree with them then you are stupid and deserve a neg bomb.

09/25/2010 - 5:37pm Yeah did

not think it would get that bad for Pur-Don't but damn, oh well I guess Danny "NO Hope at all" will just head for the locker room after the game.

08/19/2010 - 6:27pm If

Grant Mason can come from Stanford and grab a corner spot I do not see why a top prsoeprct not be able to cut it at Blue. Might have more heart than Turner, and a lot of out of state kids get caught up in the hype and never realize that they are being used. Teams recruit players to stop them from having quality depth even if they do no not need them. Allen said his favorite school growing up was FSU so I feel that is why he went that route. He simply got caught up. At least he lasted three years. Lets just wait and see what happens before we drop down a verdict.

08/19/2010 - 10:28am Do you all forget that

it was the Lions famous backup(sarcastic grin) former Msu quarterback who coined the phrase several years back, and their fanbase has run with it ever since. We owe it to the great Drew Stanton . I remember right before the UM/MSU game  he spoke about how he hated Walmart Wolverine fans. On a personal note before I even got on this blog I would argue til the cows jump over the moon (ODE to MOO U) about those who were saying it to give Drew back his quote and come up with something new.

08/12/2010 - 5:39pm If you

smoke like I smoke then you high like everyday, and if your ass is a busta Death Roh and his teammates will regulate !

08/10/2010 - 6:44pm He will

just be the last quarterback that we have to face before whoever we play for that Big Ten Title Championship. He only wants to comeback so that he can say he played in the inagural game (Title)only to see the school that he spurned, play for not only the conference title, but the 2012 National Championship Title.

08/07/2010 - 11:42am When

we win where will those haters be at then? What will be their next big story? I say who cares we can all talk about it here. I hate said newspaper just because they allow a riot type atmosphere on their message boards, and its cheap journalism at its best. Lets keep up the good shit we got going here in the MGoBlog Community. The interest here are best served by the individuals commited to Big Blue.

08/07/2010 - 12:50am Look at

my recent post and tell me where I did or said anything that deserved any of the neg bombs that I have recieved. The first time I posted and thereafter all I have seen is negatvity and this is from agroup that has a guy from Notre Dame in it. Why does my screename garner negativity. Not once did I come in here and boast of naything other than using the connotation. Last the reason I went that route is because I was pissed off with the up and down of my points as all I did was ask a few questions about the recruit. BTW is that fact or your opinion of someones fact of you(my penis size) because again I said it being pissed not for you to get all emotional about me saying what I said.

08/05/2010 - 6:59pm for the haters who hate me because of my screename

It is Roosevelt D. Smith #26RB/FB out of Cass Tech for the jerk off who said Cissoko. He played with Wolfolk, Leach, Carter,Simpkins etc. it would seem to me that people who like the same football team would get along. I have made nary a negative comment or off base comment and I have been at negative for about what two months. Now I know there are a few guys in here who seem to know their shit and I have no problems with them at all, but for the ones who dropp negs no matter what I just want you to know and you know who you that no matter  how many points you deduct my dick will still be bigger than yours. You can take that shit and eat it because these points are not an extension of your penis size or lack thereof. Much respect to those who actually add informative stuff and do not hate on people, for what? Liking Blue.

08/04/2010 - 5:18pm Sounds like an interesting

recruit. Is their any take on him on Michigan's end? Are we interested in him?, and what are the chances we actually have at getting him? He would be a welcome addition along with the Frost and Jones.

08/02/2010 - 1:59pm My first memory

was  a season ending home game against OSU i had to be about 9 or 10 and it was cold afternoon and we were losing and then all of sudden John Kolesar catches fire with a long punt return and a long touchdown. cant exactly remember the year but it was between 87-90 and we ended up winning the game like 26 -28. That was not the sensational part of the story, my grandfather actually left his keys in the car door and to our suprise no one stole it and they (M fans)even tucked the keys under the wipers. I thought wow it must be like this all the time when they beat such a hated rival. I knew then that I wanted to be a UM fan.

08/02/2010 - 12:10pm While I respect

most of the opinions on here I will say that keeping English would have been good and who knows where we would be right now. I think everyone is clouded by the fact that he has an awful record at EMU but if Coach rod was there I doubt that record would change. In short this man was recruited to be Defensive Coordinator for the NFL's Chicago Bears. Name anyone on our staff with those crdeentials as of late. Yeah  Greg Robinson coached in NFL but that was back in late 90's, English was up and coming, and to say that Mallet left because of Carr I feel is everyones opinion. UM sends quarterbacks to the NFL , Stoney Case doesnt qualify as a reason you will go to Arkansas and bank on going to the league off that. Lets be honest and say that any of us would be offended and want to transfer if your coach isnt even on campus yet and hes recruiting the top dual threat quarterback in the country. So lets not give Rodriguez a pass. Its not like he really wanted him here anyway. I say M is much better than most would like to believe maybe even better and we would have won more games on Defense alone. The guy had a better read on the personel than Rod did and they would have ran through a wall for coach. It doesnt mean anything now but hey since we are talking about it I thought I would give my opinion on it.

08/01/2010 - 12:41am Did you

remember the kicker Brendan Gibbons, we will score touchdowns but surely we need a place kicker. After that anyone who is a starter.

07/31/2010 - 11:22am uh

thats why I asked the question didnt mean to get your panties in  a bunge and I like how you get neg bombed for asking questions. Boy its great being in here with UM fans ............sigh

07/30/2010 - 10:08pm I wish

Iowa didnt get any recruits from Florida period. They had Tavian Banks(qb)2002 and we all know what he did to us. But really I only think Um,OSU, little brother,Illinois(Zook), and Minnesota all seem to get a few here and there with UM and OSU getting the better of any of the others. It s a hot state. I wonder why PSU doesnt recruit Florida that well?
