This is about clicks and $$$. Did the Harbaugh era not teach us anything. Michigan has a huge fan base, and also a big base of haters. So if you talk about a Michigan player it's polarizing. The more polarizing the content, the more visitors, watchers, etc. you get. This is simply business. No one knows anything, even the guys who analyze the film.
I think JJ has a chance to be a up there with the greats, but I'm a huge homer. I also think Corum will be great, but it's very possible he has a Mike Hart like NFL career. So no matter what let's cheer our guys on and remember, they are all National Champions!
It sounds like Gentry is a great athlete with huge upside however he seems to be a boom or bust kind of prospect. Reading how Harbaugh was able to shift QB's to other positions if they didn't pan out and his general eye for athletes, is it possible to see Gentry move to TE if Malzone wins the job down the road or a guy comes in the next class that is just a better talent? Dude is 6'7" and has speed!

Burrow- He has not set up any other visits but is the lower rated commit. Urban did visit him at his house on 1/15. Perhaps to tell him we respect you and would love for you to be buckeye, but perhaps its best to look around if you want to play...

I have heard rumblings and wouldn't be surprised if Horford trasferred. He is about to be in a log jam at the big position. McGary coming in this year, then Donnal. So he is going to be relegated to the bench even if he redshirts this year.
He is ahead of a lot of top freshmen not just those. The only one's ahead of him are sure 1 and done prospects. I hope he does not leave, and stays to win a NC next year.
Got to know Carl while at school, and he is one of the most humble/modest athletes. I texted him after his first game with the Rangers to congratulate him and he got back to me pretty quickly saying "thanks"
Also being a Ranger fan, I know he is becoming a fan favorite in NY pretty fast. Hopefully 24/7 on HBO can get some more footage of him so more of America can learn how awesome a hockey player and person the man is.
I agree that Mattison is probably looking to end his career at Michigan in the near future and retire (probably 4 years from now). I think Coach Mallory with what he did with the secondary in his first year, and his family name is making a good case to be DC in waiting, unless he is courted to other jobs.
About Borges I partially agree. I don't think his problem is with the Midwest, I think that is a pretty unwarranted claim. However I agree he may not be the best HC candidate. He seems to be more of mind than a manager. He has great knowledge of the game and designing scheme, but I don't know how well he could lead a program/recruiting efforts. I see our number one competitor to loose him as the NFL. He seems to be pretty smart guy as far as gameplan and scheme goes, and that's what the NFL is all about, maybe he lands a NFL OC job sooner or later.
Chad Ford has be quoted saying Trey Burke could be a first round pick after this year if he left. Why would any underclassman leave with the potential to be a serious final 4 contender next year?
I think our class will be rounded w/ at least adding another DB. Most likely Yuri Wright. Outside chance at Shaq Thompson.

With the recruiting numbers, is there really a reason to try to get another year for him? I understand he's a good guy, but don't we have better potential football players coming in?

With the new divisions the importance of the Paul Bunyan trophy has grown exponentially. This year the legends landscape has it down to UM and MSU at this point. Meaning this saturdays game could have big implications on who plays in Indy on december 3rd. Not saying that this becomes a bigger rivalry than "The Game", but I expect the importance of this game to grow from here on out.
Just got to say Mike Martin is a beast in the game. He destroys lineman on the Heisman level. He either blows by or plows them over so they get a holding penalty. The gameplay in the trenches is so much better.
Chris actually never played for Rich Rodriguez. His senior year was Lloyd Carr's last season. But he is a great story and person. I befriended him when he was back on campus ftrying to finish his degree. He will no doubt have success in the CFL and in his first preseason game had 2 Sacks and 1 Fumble Recovery.
