08/03/2010 - 4:01pm I think it bears noting...

...that most other college football VENUES have the same policy.  This isn't a cash grab, elsewise MICH would have been doing this for years like other teams.  First it was the bags, now this.  Blame the turrorists or sumpin.

08/03/2010 - 10:40am NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Well, I hope you're happy.  With that ad revenue, Mark $nyder is now 0.0000238 days further away from being homeless, eating leftover pizza crusts he finds in the trash and clothing himself in MICH 2006 BIG TEN CHAMPS t-shirts that were donated to charity.

Thank you for posting the link.  I appreciate being treated like a grown man that can make his own decisions outside of the MGoHegemony.

06/03/2010 - 10:45am Jameson Jonathan Mac

Under a hot August sun, Frank Selee bet MICH to cover in their opener.  And he won that bet, thanks to Jammie Mac.  Three cheers, for the sweetest man that ever lived.

10/19/2009 - 3:28pm What's longer?

Terrelle Pryor's longest completion on Saturday or Redneck Rocker's face?

08/04/2009 - 4:11pm Is there such a thing...

08/04/2009 - 12:31pm I'm one BILLION times more upset...

07/31/2009 - 10:44am Warren committed first...

..Rojo committed a few days later on Super Bowl Sunday. Both were recruited by U-M as CBs, primarily.

07/30/2009 - 1:23pm I played Contra last night...

...to try and get a feel for how this whole Afghanistan war thing is going to turn out. Note to US Armed Forces: If push Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A start before the war, you're basically invincible. Just don't tell the Taliban the code, or they'll be invincible too.

07/17/2009 - 4:12pm a/s/l?

a/s/l?

07/17/2009 - 3:48pm If we're being really generous...

...we could construe it to mean, "people that care waaaaaaaaaaaaay more about football than school." Problem is, when you heave that out there, it looks pretty bad on its own. Other problem is that there's no evidence that any of those guys are blowing off school.

07/17/2009 - 3:34pm MLive comments are like...

...a 1986 Ford Fiesta filled with 30 rabies infested chihuahuas. It's the pits. If they had MLive Points, everyone would have -∞ (man that's small (TWSS). it's infinity).

07/17/2009 - 3:17pm MATT DORSEY IS A CHOAD

END TRANSMISSION.

07/17/2009 - 3:10pm Based on every comment other than "not my kind of crowd"...

...it's pretty obvious the answer is b (although I'm not sure if he's a Titty Baby or a Titty Babby).

Anyway, when this first leaked, he supposedly felt constrained by his duties to the team in order to meet his academic desires. He reiterated as much with the recent "business" comment in the newspaper. Now, seeing as how other guys (read :everyone else on the team) seem to make it work between academics and the new super demanding football regimen, I'm not sure how much water that holds, but whatevs. The rest is cover fire.

And as you and MDan hash out above, he shouldn't have thrown out the "not my kind of crowd" because, at best, it makes you look petty.

In closing, titty babby.

07/16/2009 - 12:22pm Stoney & Wojo...

...were in the middle of a rather lucrative contract when the crap the fan at WDFN and they're still getting paid. There's a no-compete clause, so unless someone in Detroit ponies up some big bucks, they're likely on the sidelines for a few years wrt to radio.

07/15/2009 - 3:36pm You could literally replace Terry Foster...

07/15/2009 - 3:23pm I'd like Valenti a lot more...

And not read jokes about people that died less than 24 hours prior too.

07/13/2009 - 2:43pm The Fab Five.

The Fab Five.

07/13/2009 - 1:41pm Minne$ota falls into the category of...

..."I wish their team bus would drive off a cliff, only to be saved at the last moment by a group of white robed angels that lifts them back onto the safety of solid ground before incinerating them one by one with lightning bolts and selling their cremains cut with heroin to Minneapolis area street junkies."

07/13/2009 - 1:34pm Probably in the minority...

I hope OSU wins every game leading up to The Game. If it could be like 2006 every year, that would great. So, I think that would be classified as respect.

I hope MSU loses every game. I think it's because of my closer personal relationships with some of the annoying portions of their fanbase. Call it strong dislike.

Sort of ambivalent towards ND. Obviously want to beat them, but I don't really care what happens in other games. This is where you picture me raising my hands, palms up and shrugging my shoulders, giving the universal signal for "meh." I've included a link to a picture of myself as a useful reference:

07/13/2009 - 11:19am I agree about Ben Folds.

Saw him years ago.

Best concert for me was Barry Manilow at Pine Knob. Barry's luscious voice plus the starry skies made me a Fanilow for life.

07/10/2009 - 5:02pm Started at 2 weeks

Moved to 2.5 weeks after three years.
Moved to 3 weeks after five years.

However, all that excludes (soon to be not so) bountiful UAW-based holidays.

07/10/2009 - 4:57pm If I had enough points to vote...

07/10/2009 - 4:27pm 9-3

BOOM ANOTHER POINT!

07/06/2009 - 2:41pm As long as we're getting ahead of ourselves...

...the key to a Boozer/Rip deal is to not sign Boozer to a ridiculous extension, which Dumars is often prone to do. Bank the cap space for 2010 along with Kwame's expiring $4M and see what you can get next summer.

GO BIG BLUE NATION!!!! Comic Sans, the official font of Michigan Football.

03/25/2009 - 4:36pm WLA also killed JFK...

...when reviewing it on NetFlix. 1 Star for you Oliver Stone.

03/25/2009 - 4:18pm Take a hint...

When someone says it's on Rivals and Scout but doesn't link, that means it's premium information. It was also on the MLive board this morning.

03/12/2009 - 9:37am Is that like the royal "we"?

I'm saying if we didn't use highlight tapes to judge players, then nobody would care about recruiting.

I follow recruiting more than most fans and I very rarely watch a recruit's video. This is primarily because I don't know what the fuck I'm looking at. I guess it's fun to watch Tate scramble around for 30 seconds while he's 20 yards behind the LOS, but in college, that's a sack. I prefer that people who do this for a living and review hundreds or thousands of tapes comparatively tell me who's good.

I don't begrudge people watching them and forming opinions. It's just that sometimes things happen like watching a video and coming to the realization that Tate Forcier is a better prospect than Terrelle Pryor when there is literally zero evidence to back that up at this time.

03/09/2009 - 10:35am I am not a WLA Goon

I am a WLA Tool. Great stuff as usual jm.

03/02/2009 - 3:32pm FACT:

I had more hair before I started reading MGoBlog.

02/27/2009 - 8:51am 2011 Southeastern BBall Duo...

Kearney and Gibson were also there.

02/25/2009 - 1:33pm OSU has licensed...

...Ted Gin.

(sorry, that was terrible)

02/25/2009 - 11:26am Thoughts...

I would wager this ad campaign will bring them many more customers in Columbus than they will lose in Ann Arbor. I love MGoBlog, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say there are a lot more eyeballs seeing that sign than this post.

The real question is whether or not a more neutral campaign would bring them the equivalent number of customers in Columbus without losing the AA customers. Given the degree to which central Ohioans seem to identify with the team and consequently U-M's failures, I would say no. That's pure speculation on my part.

02/25/2009 - 11:00am Needs more...

...squirrel.

02/25/2009 - 10:55am Do you really think...

...the marketing people from Maker's Mark are all OSU grads? That companies hire people from the local university when pursuing a one time regional ad campaign?

02/24/2009 - 4:22pm Quote from Bolden...

"Michigan State feels like their offense is split pretty well because they obviously do a lot of under-center stuff and they can also get in the gun and throw it," Bolden explained. "Michigan, they run all spread. I talked to (Rich Rodriguez) over the phone and I talked to one of the assistant coaches. They told me that even though that's not the offense that I would prefer, I could get in there and pretty much show what I can do just by running all spread."

02/24/2009 - 2:19pm WITTY describe not only LAST

WITTY describe not only LAST NAME but also SENSE OF HUMOR. Just my E-PINION.

02/24/2009 - 12:23pm Re: Gholston and White

It would seem chances are better w/ White than Gholston. White's dad is the principal at Pioneer and they insist that they will go through the process.

Gholston seems fairly unlikely at this point.

02/24/2009 - 12:17pm Nominally in on Bolden (he has an offer)...

...but it's generally thought he would prefer a more pro-style offense.

02/13/2009 - 4:03pm Steve Threet ranged from...

...38.7% (Wisconsin) to 69.6% (ND) on his way to 51.0% (season). So maybe your right, a guy like Henne is more consistent. But most Big Ten QBs aren't 2nd round NFL draft picks.

02/11/2009 - 12:46pm They've copied and pasted...

...segments from other U-M blogs and newspapers whole cloth without any attribution and have been called out for it. Some of the "OMG Insyderz" information there is good, but the analysis sucks and the prose makes my eyes bleed.

02/05/2009 - 3:59pm I really don't want to gang up here...

...but where was your righteous indignation when Brian compared college recruiting to pedophilia, with the recruits playing the role of exploited children? Should we be joking about pedophilia? I'm sure you sent Brian an email about that, because you said nothing in the comments.
