I remember my gut reaction to the Groban thing at the banquet and I knew than that Rich Rod was done.
This...This is so much worse. And after hearing and reading the presser...The actual words on paper look so bad and sound so wrong. Brandon needs to act and by not acting, he loses what little credibility he has left.
This is beyond anything I've ever seen from this Univeristy. Boycott the game, stand with my back to the action for the entire first quarter, a planned exodus when they announce the attendance...whatever.
I mean...really? We are supposed to believe that? I can almost buy the lie that it wasn't Hoke's decision and that the kid wanted to go and Hoke didn't want to shut him down...
But after the National News, ESPN and everyone else calling this out...He HASN'T SPOKEN TO BRANDON AND BRANDON HASN'T SPOKEN TO HIM?
Which is worse? That he's lying? OR THAT THEY HAVEN'T SPOKEN ON THE SUBJECT!!!
As someone who used to spend a LOT OF TIME in Vegas, and having been there for the Super Bowl and other big weekends, I can tell you that it's going to be extremely tough to get any sportsbook to change a screen for 1 person...However, I have seen sportsbooks change one screen to Soccer for a LARGE GROUP of euro fans that were drinking, betting and having a good time. If you are going to have any success, wear the colors, recruit some other fans and try to convince someone as a group...you might get lucky. But, I seriously doubt it. Another tip - the bigger the book (more screens) the better your chances. Mirage, Ceasar's used to be somewhat accomodating to such requests.
