Yesterday, I told my wife, a therapist, about JJ's "Connected to everything, attached to nothing" tattoo (which I learned of here) and pre-game meditation routine.
She really latched onto the phrase for her clients, and also for herself, when transferance finds her carrying the weight of their experiences after session has closed.
Of course, session never really closes if we're fortunate and find the means to keep at it. As they say, "Those who stay ..."
So MGoBlog writing reaches far and deep.
And such a gift for us that now, for a stretch, we get both content and contentment.
New favorite - Jim's shout-out to how much fun it was to watch Nico Collins, with the Texans, catch all of those passes, everything thrown at him from ... "unnamed quarterback". LOL.
I had the same debate. Went with the title game simply because I knew I missed a ton in the heat of the moment watching at bar, well plastered. Rose Bowl I've already etched in my head through double-digit views. But it was clearly the more legendary game.
Up there with the Leaders and Best of MGoBlog posts. Thank you. I'm left-handed, and it took me years of singing The Victors before I could train myself to pump my right fist with the rest of the Big House.

I don't remember exactly how I first came to the site. But the "Ur post" to me is Brian's "Notes from a rooftop" piece following the final against Louisville.

We just talked, on the roof, about my world-spanning naiveté when I was a freshman in '97 and thought I should wait for a senior-year Rose Bowl. I 'm old enough now to have few illusions about how common a thing like this is. Boeheim's been to four Final Fours in 37 years. Massive all-encompassing basketball power Louisville last won in 1986. A thing like this does not come along often, and six points short pales in comparison to four people cementing themselves to each other on a cool Atlanta morning."
TL;DR. It's all about the ride and the relationships -- a philosophy Blake, JJ, Mike and more very much seem to have embraced.
I didn't say, and don't think, they're better than the Georgia D-line, which was historically strong. But that's still a test case that an elite D-line, which we have, has proven able to undo a Moore-award winning O-line. So that will be the test Monday. I don't think the Washington O-line has seen a D like ours, especially in the PAC 12 this year. So I like our chances.

Hadn't heard of him till I read Rick Atkinson's Liberation trilogy, but (as you likely know) a general and logistics wizard of WWII, as well as military governor of Germany post-war.
A bit of a non-sequitur here, but saw in one of many articles I read today that JJ has a tattoo reading: "Attached to nothing, connected to everything". Wisdom. Seems like Trente is connected to everything and not attached to just his part in it. And truly feel like it's a team-wide ethic.

That Ufer clip was in the reel that the UM alumni club or admissions dept (can't remember which) played on a recruiting event in my hometown.
