Arrived in San Francisco today!

05/31/2016 - 7:56pm Seating format?

First time season ticket holder here (as a non-student, at least) and MGoBlue shows the following seat format under my "Ticket Information". Guessing this means I'm in section 6 and not section 1, but can anyone confirm? Also, is there a seating map out there that shows where within a row my seats are?

1:6, Row XX, Seat n
1:6, Row XX, Seat n + 1

01/02/2011 - 5:11pm I disagree with your

I disagree with your statement that there is nothing else Michigan-related to talk about; what about Rich Rod's decision to wear a white shirt instead of a Maize one while coaching?

...Kick out the clothes and not the kid? I think that raises some even greater questions about ethics.

01/02/2011 - 2:36pm That's quite telling...

That's quite telling... didn't Hot Tub Time Machine receive approximately as much critical acclaim as Gigli?

01/02/2011 - 2:35pm "Godwin's law (also known as

"Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies)[1][2] is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1989 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[3][2] In other words, Godwin put forth the sarcastic observation that, given enough time, all online discussions—regardless of topic or scope—inevitably end up being about Hitler and the Nazis."

That didn't take long!

01/02/2011 - 2:18pm I would personally name it

I would personally name it CCCC: C, C, C, C,or CK? ... Just to make sure people knew what it was about before clicking on it.

Coaching Change Clothing Choices: Converse, Claiborne, Coach, Chanel, or Calvin Klein?

01/02/2011 - 2:11pm That's a shame... I'm from

That's a shame... I'm from Maryland and a Rich Rod transfer to the University of Maryland would give me a legitimate excuse to root for them.

Purely speculative, but could this point to the potential situation that the Terps reached out to Rich Rod and he was disinterested in joining them (ahead of Edsall)? If so, wouldn't that presumably mean that Rich Rod plans on going somewhere that's better in his mind (for instance, Clemson)?

12/30/2010 - 9:06pm Block M Christmas Lights!

I got mine from eBay a few years back, but you can also find them on some other websites (for instance, here). Not sure if they sell them in stores - I'm an out-of-stater and never really sniffed around the non-food sections of Meijer, etc.

12/30/2010 - 8:44pm Well thanks for the support,

Well thanks for the support, even if it is purely symbolic. Even though I've only recently started posting, I've been a long-time visitor to this site (before I even formally registered an account). I'm well aware of the ridiculous nature of a lot of the threads started recently and I can assure you that I won't be starting unsubstantiated or repetetive threads. I've had my fair share between this week's CC threads and this past summer's expansion speculation.

12/30/2010 - 8:01pm Leave

Honestly, were you unaware of the fact that this is already being discussed in an existing thread? If you want to start a new thread, make it about something orginal... maybe a prospective coaching change rumor that is unsubstantiated?

12/30/2010 - 7:49pm CC Haiku 2

I have fewer points

Even I don't start these threads

Seriously, leave.

12/30/2010 - 7:47pm I think I've figured it out

Rich Rod knows he's getting the boot for JH so he told Tate (who was planning on transferring anyway) to bomb his classes (grades wouldn't matter, anyway, since he's transferring). When Robinson inevitably gets winded and has to sit out one play, RR will force DG to enter the game, eliminating any prospect for medical redshirting. JH comes in and Robinson transfers to Maryland (to pursue a starting QB position there with new HC RR). Gallon will be our starting quarterback next season. I have this on good authority from two sources that I can't name. Trust me on this - I wouldn't want to banish myself to Bolivia. I'm 95% certain.

Sidenote: is /s really necessary in certain situations? Also, has a precedent been set for using /f for /facetious?

12/30/2010 - 7:31pm Assuming DG doesn't play,

Assuming DG doesn't play, won't the powers-that-be still be aware of the fact that he was active during practices leading up to the game? If so, is that alone grounds for denying him a medical redshirt?

06/17/2010 - 10:09am One time I was walking down

One time I was walking down State St. near Quickie Burger and Denard was going in the opposite direction. We're not acquaintances and I just continued on my merry way, but when I passed him he nodded and said "what's up." I'm trying to think of a witty analogy to characterize this exchange but to no avail. Nice kid.

06/13/2010 - 8:37pm Throwback shirt

Before Adidas took over a couple of years ago, Nike was still making the shirts. I was new on campus and saw a navy blue shirt with an oversized, off-center block M on the front of the shirt (taking up nearly the entire shirt). Apparently Nike made the shirt, but I have been unable to find it anywhere (online, etc.). Anyone happen to know which shirt I'm talking about? Help me find a place to buy it and you'll get a finder's fee :)
