06/08/2018 - 1:12pm RIP. I will continue to…

RIP. I will continue to travel and enjoy the culinary world in his honor - he was a true legend who helped educate the masses on the wide world and all of its splendor. He will be missed.

06/02/2018 - 10:34am Why?

Does everyone say this like its fact? Brad Steven's is a great coach who hasnt even made it to the NBA finals... He could be the best and soon in the NBA, but the amount of people saying this is absurd. I mean Popovich is still coaching and love him or hate him, he has 5 rings.

06/02/2018 - 10:30am Haha

Yep

05/28/2018 - 1:30am To the haters...

LBJ keeps getting it done

04/22/2018 - 1:19pm This is nothing new...

First off, who cares? They went 13-0 and beat all comers, not their fault that the system is built as it is - as a single institution, they have no ability to change the NCAA and no option but to participate in it.

As for precedence? Oh man... every major program in the US claims some National Championship pre-modern era that has at least some doubt to its legitimacy. This includes Ohio State, Alabama, even Michigan as major programs doing it. Not to mention a lot of outlier programs who do the same.

I don't think this does any harm and good for them for continuing to build the program in the face of losing their head coach.

03/30/2018 - 12:33pm Nice work.

Enjoyed it.

03/25/2018 - 3:29am H to the Z Tho....

X is for ...

03/25/2018 - 1:33am Play to win the game.

Lets go

03/25/2018 - 1:02am Leaders & Best

Class run to the Final 4, hats off to Coach B.

03/23/2018 - 1:04pm Great win!

Great team win, really fun to watch what we can do when playing our game. Three wins down, three to go, anything is possible with this team.

03/17/2018 - 1:03am haha

do you hate America pal?

03/08/2018 - 10:35am Agreed...

I think its fine for a coach to keep a fanbase in check at times, almost a responsibility for those with the cachet to do it. I can only imagine it goes over well with the players.

03/04/2018 - 9:42pm Tough comparison

I think coaching comparisons have to be to other coaches, otherwise the analogies just don't seem to hold up.

03/01/2018 - 9:36pm Northwesterner...

Having some Fremont and Stoup tonight in Seattle.

02/24/2018 - 1:11am makes no sense

Arizona cheats, but ASU gets punished with Herm?

02/18/2018 - 3:47pm Need one of the final two...

Need at least one of these roadies this week... and we would be in great shape from a seeding perspective.

02/04/2018 - 10:49pm Great play

By Brandon... well deserved.

02/04/2018 - 6:30pm 31-20 Pats

Ring #6

01/28/2018 - 2:34am Easy

Get your screen shots out. Izzo retires to new AD at end of season... beleagured Spartans make Rd 2... Coach D, fights this thing... but ultimately gets sent to pasture bt new AD. "Fresh Start" is highlighted and many try to sprak that coach D did no wrong. He sits '18 and/or is a last min add by midyear to a contending team.

01/27/2018 - 7:42pm The Payne news... that is now reported.

Makes all those feel good stories about the guy and his relationship with the young girl who was fighting cancer feel staged.

01/02/2018 - 6:04pm Re: Punting

Punting has been terrible all year and in the rain vs. MSU it constantly cost us valuable field position and our inability to get a short field to help our O cost us the third and final TD we needed to win.

12/30/2017 - 1:30am Great...

But really just nostalgia... the other big bowls have decided as many or more National Champions over the last 25 years...

12/30/2017 - 12:54am New is better

Michigan might have been better then, which is the only thing the OP pines for. If we were in the playoff or the cusp of it, this post would never happen.

12/29/2017 - 7:46pm OSU in a walk...

JT has this by approx 10 and believe me Urban wants the cover.

12/25/2017 - 2:15am Kyle Shanahan

was the get, whiff

12/17/2017 - 11:40am Maybe three years ago

But this year was definately a Loss, we mustered a mere 10 pts at home and earned it.

12/01/2017 - 11:59pm Franklin is a clown?

How so?

11/26/2017 - 9:30pm Schiano is trash

Even trash OSU will drop him soon...

11/25/2017 - 1:20pm The

Audacity of Hope

11/25/2017 - 11:27am For which team?

It's very possible

11/25/2017 - 10:20am Coach started

at San Diego, which is definately a small school.

11/24/2017 - 10:20am OSU has had 10 straight

Years of excellent QB play, within that, a ton of consistancy. Its the number one factor to their success.

11/24/2017 - 10:13am Your Buckeye Friend, is laughing

Right now... why would it be R.E.M. obviously its Madonna. Idiots.

11/24/2017 - 10:09am Speight

If healthy enough was iur st starter this year and last... I bet he is lobbying hard to be it tmw. One shot to write himself into history and lay claim to the role for next year.

11/11/2017 - 1:25am Jim B

Is a homer, not a good announcer.

11/10/2017 - 9:04pm 3 TD game

Bet it

11/06/2017 - 8:20pm The concept at first seemed wonky to me...

But after thinking about it, clearly the market exists and stop thinking about this place as being "just a hotel" - this is basically a members only club with a 10-year donation of $100K+.

While the doors are not locked for most of the year, on home game weekends this place will have a much sought after bar/lounge/dining area filled with Wealthy alums and plenty of former players.

11/05/2017 - 2:41am Coach Rod

Walked away and basically has said nothing... He has been very accommodating... even when we replaced him with a moron.

10/31/2017 - 10:15am Lincoln

Having lived there for many years (in the past) and having visited regularly I can assure you that Lincoln is no different than most Big Ten college towns, just not as liberal. The city is also the state capital which gives it more than just the University and its proximity to Nebraskas other main Metro Omaha (45 minutes) makes it more like a suburb of another bigger city. This makes the city seem and feel bigger than it really is and distinguishes it from a lot of otherwise peer city/campus combos.

Economic re-development downtown and the building of their new basketball arena has also been well done.

The city does not have the culture or feel of Ann Arbor or Madison... but it has more going on that Champaign, West Lafeyette, East Lansing... just to name a few.

Scott Frost was no Tommy Frazier in local lore... but he can still walk on water in Lincoln and if they want him they should be able to get him.

As for Gainesville... woof

10/22/2017 - 7:37pm Agreed...

Team is 5-2 and likely on the way to 8-2 with two big and final games looming... This game was a loss on the schedule regardless or most factors.

We get to 8-2 and have two huge shots to be 9-3 and 10-3 after a bowl victory. For a team this young with changes/questions at QB - this is as expected.

I know it feels good to complain - but PSU has a Heisman candidate at RB and a solid QB with a great Def.

10/05/2017 - 11:12pm haha

ass be white

09/29/2017 - 1:20am Meh. Reaching...

A few facts don't make it plausible he could affect this. Modern reporting and information are drastically different than 10-12 years ago. No defending him beyond that but it's a tired run of logic... how were his head and arrest rates at Utah?

09/29/2017 - 1:17am Hate to ruin the party...

Think Urban is 100% right on his stance related to lying to the NCAA and think all of us should mostly agree.

09/14/2017 - 2:09am Fake post...

It's all fun and games but honestly.... its a fake troll post.

09/14/2017 - 12:30am Let's see here...

First off...

Keeping the series vs. Washington - great program building (I live in Seattle)

Oregon... I mean, winnable and the last time around - yikes!

Texas, always gets a ranking - winnable...

As a brand, would love to see our "winnable games" start involving some better schools in our pedigree again - N. Carolina, Virgina... Cal... even the LA schools...

09/12/2017 - 11:49pm There are People...

Don't have Amazon Prime?

09/10/2017 - 1:29am Not big on boing personally...

But understand its mostly just in the moment frustration.

09/09/2017 - 2:55pm D is fine

A lot of people jumping the gun...

09/07/2017 - 10:39am Yeah, RR nightmares...

I mean end of the day... he didn't convince our Sophmore co-starter from previous year QB to stay with our program. That was the number one recruit that RR missed on and it hurt us big time in his first year and with who we could recruit down the line. He adjusts his offense a bit and we keep Mallet and go 8-4 or even 6-6 the whole thing plays out differently.

09/07/2017 - 10:31am How about the game generally...

We give up the opening FG after one of the only big plays we allow all game... Take the lead and feel like we are a TD drive away from putting the gas on Florida in the second quarter... Then the two pick 6s... and we are down 10-17 in a game that we are really in control of.

That script with previous Michigan teams has lead to all sorts of 35-21 losses with a hot or strong start fading away and the kind of regret and post game reflection involving "what if".

Instead the team then shuts out the opponent the rest of the game (very Bama-like) and has a scoring drive whenever called upon the rest of the game. In a neutral site opener vs. a talent team.
