|12/16/2018 - 6:42pm||I'm going to start with 2004…||
I'm going to start with 2004 NFL draft which is relevant considering it's 3 years from '01 recruiting class.
2004: OSU 14 (3) Michigan 4 (1)
2005: OSU 3 (0) Michigan 3 (2)
2006: OSU 9 (5) Michigan 3 (0)
2007: OSU 8 (2) Michigan 7 (1)
2008: OSU 2 (1) Michigan 6 (1)
2009: OSU 7 (2) Michigan 2 (0)
2010: OSU 4 (0) Michigan 3 (1)
2011: OSU 5 (1) Michigan 2 (0)
2012: OSU 4 (0) Michigan 3 (0)
2013: OSU 3 (0) Michigan 2 (0)
2014: OSU 6 (2) Michigan 3 (1)
2015: OSU 5 (0) Michigan 2 (0)
2016: OSU 12 (5) Michigan 3 (0)
2017: OSU 7 (3) Michigan 11 (2)
2018: OSU 7 (2) Michigan 2 (0)
2019 (Projected): OSU 10 (3) Michigan 7 (1)
Instead of recruiting rankings, try with NFL players drafted and how many first rounders they put out over the years. You can see the difference between the two. OSU put out more 1st round picks than Michigan and that's the deciding edge because you need studs in order to be an elite team.
|12/14/2018 - 1:36pm||That is actually false…||
That is actually false. Michigan has taken on players who don't care about school (bc they want to get to the NFL) or players who are borderline academically qualified in the past. It's a matter of if they're good enough to be a NFL player and if they are, they'll take 'em.
|12/12/2018 - 12:02am||Nova was #20 at Ken Pom. Not…||
Nova was #20 at Ken Pom. Not great but still a good team.
|12/11/2018 - 11:58pm||Don't have a lot of talent?…||
Don't have a lot of talent? Nova has the 9th best recruiting class which includes a 5* talent in Jahvon Quinerly, 2 top 60 players in Cole Swider and Brandon Slater plus a transfer in Joe Cremo.
They return Eric Paschall, Phil Booth, Collin Gilliespie.
They're good but not as great as they were in the last few years. It's going to take some time for Nova to gel but they have Jay Wright so they'll eventually going to figure it out.
|12/11/2018 - 7:59pm||Nick Saban is basically a…||
Nick Saban is basically a defacto DB coach. Look at DC and position coach that he has lost over the years at Bama yet they don't miss a beat. They still churn out NFL athletes after NFL athletes. That shouldn't affect Dax Hill's recruitment unless a recruiter who recruited Dax is gone which is a factor.
|12/11/2018 - 7:56pm||Jeff Tedford was a good…||
Jeff Tedford was a good coach but was strung by Cal's stringent admission standards in his later year of his tenure. No way, he would've gotten Marshawn Lynch, DeSean Jackson, etc. if it's based on the recent standards.
Tedford can coach and has pulled Fresno State out of mediocrity to a quality team.
|12/11/2018 - 3:43pm||Absolutely nothing since it…||
Absolutely nothing since it's Nick Saban's defense because they run 3-4 or 4-3 under with ton of his coverage concepts (like Rip/Liz pattern matching for example) with the secondary.
|12/10/2018 - 10:09pm||Take a look at recent NFL…||
Take a look at recent NFL drafts and B1G is severely missing especially at QB position where it's the most important position. Haskins will be the first B1G QB to get drafted at 1st round since Kerry Collins which is more than 30 years ago. There is a reason why B1G is lagging behind the rest of the country.
|12/10/2018 - 5:56pm||Grier did not get a top 10…||
Grier did not get a top 10 draft grade and isn't anywhere near it
|12/10/2018 - 4:13pm||Jawaan Taylor isn't a 1st…||
Jawaan Taylor isn't a 1st round pick but Polite is absolutely a 1st round pick (Probably at top 10-15).
|12/10/2018 - 4:05pm||Show you the gap between B1G…||
Show you the gap between B1G and the southern schools. B1G is not a good conference. If you look at NFL draftees, it's even more stark because B1G is underrepresented and that's not a coincidence
|12/10/2018 - 10:20am||He's not getting into 1st…||
He's not getting into 1st round. He's pretty much a day 3 pick
|12/09/2018 - 10:21pm||If Harbaugh had Tom Brady,…||
If Harbaugh had Tom Brady, he would've passed the ball more because he actually has a QB who can process quickly and doesn't panic when his primary read is covered. That's the biggest problem with Shea which is why he isn't ever going to be considered to be a day 1/2 pick.
|12/09/2018 - 12:34am||Thing is 4*-5* recruits don…||
Thing is 4*-5* recruits don't give a shit about academics and alumni network. They care about getting to the NFL and winning rings. Saying they care about academics is just PR move by the recruits/parents to endear themselves to the crootin fans.
|12/09/2018 - 12:27am||Because Pep sucked at every…||
Because Pep sucked at every stop he has gone.
|12/09/2018 - 12:23am||Murray would've found a way…||
Murray would've found a way to keep pace with OSU and beat ND. He's a much better QB than Shea and has better mental processing speed. Plus, he can run.
|12/07/2018 - 4:21pm||Actually, Moe Wagner helps…||
Actually, Moe Wagner helps more with Walker Kessler more than Teske because Wagner is what Kessler look for in a JB's system since he can shoot and drive.
|12/06/2018 - 11:36pm||He ran KSU program down into…||
He ran KSU program down into the ground and was fired from it. Bill Snyder had to come back from retirement and turn the program around once again. KSU fans were happy to see him gone as well
|12/06/2018 - 10:33pm||He's definitely not a loss…||
He's definitely not a loss. He sucked as a OL coach and players didn't like him. His run scheme design sucked and made no sense in relation to the overall passing scheme. I was glad to see him gone from the Lions. He's the biggest reason why Larry Warford won't come back to the Lions when he was the FA.
|12/04/2018 - 4:24pm||I'm the #1 seed in a .5 PPR…||
I'm the #1 seed in a .5 PPR setting
QB: Jared Goff, Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson
RB: Phillip Lindsay, Mark Ingram, Chris Thompson, Dion Lewis, Matt Brieda
WR: Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen, Tyreek Hill, Chris Goodwin, Julian Edelman
TE: George Kittle, Eric Ebron
K: Meh, who cares since I stream kickers
DEF: Meh, who cares since I stream defense
Lamar, Lindsay and Brieda are the only waiver pick up I've made. My drafting was nearly perfect and got great value at TE and picked WRs with my first three picks
|12/04/2018 - 4:18pm||From my understanding, Ryan…||
From my understanding, Ryan Day is their best recruiter.
|12/04/2018 - 9:13am||In 3rd year, you expect the…||
In 3rd year, you expect the offense to be middling instead of hot trash which BC offense has been in his entire tenure. Loefller has not shown the ability to coordinate good offense and it's a bad hire by BGSU.
|12/04/2018 - 9:09am||Kelly kept his job after a…||
Kelly kept his job after a student died from falling from the platform in high wind condition. Kelly has done a lot of shitty things at ND yet ND didn't blink.
|12/03/2018 - 10:14pm||Loefller's offense at BC in…||
Loefller's offense at BC in S&P rankings
Respectable? BC offense is hot trash
|12/03/2018 - 4:21pm||Loefller's offense at BC in…||
Loefller's offense at BC in S&P rankings
Sure, they improved but they're still awful. Loefller has not shown the ability to put together good offense
|12/03/2018 - 4:18pm||He sucked as a DC at Oregon…||
He sucked as a DC at Oregon. Jim Leavitt took over his duties the next year and Oregon defense vastly improved. That's a huge indictment on Hoke's ability to coordinate defense.
|12/02/2018 - 11:02am||Big part of the reason why…||
Big part of the reason why Harbaugh is reluctant to pass the ball more is because of Shea Patterson. He has a tendency to hold onto the ball too long especially if his primary read is covered and he struggles under pressure (basically acted like JOK when pressured). He's a slow processor meaning he doesn't cycle through progression read fast enough or recognize the defensive coverage quickly to know where to throw the ball to.
Harbaugh made things simple for Shea by running the ball more and schemed receivers open. Shea has good arm talent but his deficiencies are what will prevent him from getting drafted high in the NFL.
|12/02/2018 - 12:45am||You mean like B1G where OSU…||
You mean like B1G where OSU only get up for one game and just sleepwalk through the entire conference? B1G has two good teams and the rest are trash.
Clemson played a bunch of nobodies in the ACC. Pac-12 are pretty bad overall. Big 12 is solid despite the defensive reputation. SEC has two great teams.
|12/01/2018 - 9:24pm||That doesn't matter because…||
That doesn't matter because playing time is the most important part of his criteria and Cincinnati gives him that
|11/30/2018 - 10:00pm||His deep ball accuracy is…||
His deep ball accuracy is actually really good but yes, his accuracy needs work which is due to mechanics. Fix it and his accuracy will come.
|11/30/2018 - 8:58pm||I'm watching #MACtion…||
I'm watching #MACtion championship game. Buffalo is taking it to NIU. Tyree Jackson is a stud and is a local kid from Muskegon. Word is he's a potential day 2 draft pick.
|11/30/2018 - 8:57pm||Eh, bowl games ain't what it…||
Eh, bowl games ain't what it used to be. It's a glorified exhibition game that counted towards their record/stats. A bunch of 1st rounders are sitting out because they're not risking injuries like Jaylon Smith did when he tore up his knee against OSU in Fiesta Bowl.
|11/30/2018 - 5:33pm||I'm not worried about depth…||
I'm not worried about depth because JB rarely goes more than 8 men rotation. If you're not in it, you're not playing
|11/30/2018 - 5:19pm||It actually started when he…||
It actually started when he hired Donlan to coach defense. Michigan started out slow but was playing good defense at the end of the year. It carried over when he hired Yaklich.
|11/29/2018 - 1:20pm||He's likely not going to be…||
He's likely not going to be a lottery pick at this point. He has above average athleticism but his shooting is questionable. Also, there's question on how his game will translate to the NBA.
Just because he's outplaying two lottery picks doesn't mean he'll be one
|11/29/2018 - 8:49am||Hard to blame him for taking…||
Hard to blame him for taking the offer when Michigan came calling for him.
|11/28/2018 - 11:14am||Actually, BC offensive…||
Actually, BC offensive rankings are(according to S&P):
95, 101, 124. His offense sucked
|11/27/2018 - 9:38pm||Their offense is a lot…||
Their offense is a lot different than OSU offense. They run Air Raid offense and Kyler Murray is a QB who can pass and run. I think Kyler is a 4.5 QB at worst but I've heard 4.4 which is fast at QB.
Oklahoma wants Michigan to run press man coverage because Air Raid rather see that type of coverage and do some option routes based on it.
|11/27/2018 - 9:10pm||He's not projected at top 10…||
He's not projected at top 10. Very few off the ball LB are picked at top 10. He's likely at top of 2nd round but end of 1st round could be possible
|11/27/2018 - 7:59pm||As long as Michigan don't…||
As long as Michigan don't get to face Oklahoma. Oklahoma would be the worst possible matchup for Michigan defense.
|11/27/2018 - 7:57pm||2/3 of the team? UCF is #7…||
2/3 of the team? UCF is #7 in F+/- combined rankings. But without their starting QB, it's possible but UCF has quite a few players who are getting looks by the NFL.
I thought last year team was better than this year team
|11/27/2018 - 6:59pm||Not so fast my friend. Kliff…||
Not so fast my friend. Kliff Kingsbury has a ton of interest by the NFL teams to be their OC. He has NFL aspirations so it's not a slam dunk that he'll go to USC.
|11/27/2018 - 2:32pm||The Rams rarely run on 1st…||
The Rams rarely run on 1st and 2nd downs so they can throw a bunch of underneath passes to get some yards to set up 3rd and short. They faced the fewest men in the box out of anybody in the league because they pass a lot. Condensed formation with WRs lining up close to the box forces the defense to line up wide because they have the space to run through it. It seems counterintuitive but it works.
|11/26/2018 - 10:52pm||I think Michigan's tendency…||
I think Michigan's tendency to slow down the pace will go in their favor and they value the ball so that should limit the transition opportunities. The defense will come into play with Yaklich having a week to prep for UNC which is a good thing. Michigan offense needs to show up to have a chance.
|11/26/2018 - 10:37pm||The punt block wasn't…||
The punt block wasn't because OSU planned for it. It was because Will Hart took too damn long to get the ball off. Re-watch the punt block because the guy who blocked the punt was at LOS when the punter caught the ball. OSU didn't do anything special, it's because of Hart taking his sweet time to punt
|11/26/2018 - 10:20pm||His stock will not improve…||
His stock will not improve with combine workout. NFL scouts are expecting him to show out in the workout so they're not going to double count it to their evaluation. Only way that it will blow them out of the doors is if he runs 4.3, with 6.5 3C, 3.7 SS, 45" vertical jump, 50 reps in bench.
They're expecting him to put up elite numbers for his size. The biggest thing for Gary is his medical checkup on his shoulder. That will determine if his stock will stay the same or goes into free fall.
|11/26/2018 - 10:13pm||I can tell you that Rashan…||
I can tell you that Rashan is not falling to 2nd/3rd round. He's solidly in the 1st round range unless his medical check goes bad for him at the combine.
|11/26/2018 - 10:04pm||Michigan has been a…||
Michigan has been a basketball school for the last 5-7 years. The thing is Michigan fans don't give a shit about them for the most part which is a shame because they competed with the elite and have beaten them.
|11/26/2018 - 4:09pm||Again, 39 points didn't come…||
Again, 39 points didn't come when the game was competitive. They scored 19 (7 was gifted due to KR muff and OSU deciding not to cover Evans the next play) and scored 20 in garbage time when the game was already decided.
|11/26/2018 - 7:42am||B1G East stacked?
B1G East stacked?
Sure if you only look at OSU and Michigan in a vacuum. PSU and MSU aren't good. Rutgers, Indiana and Maryland sucks.
