That's ironic, because I…

That's ironic, because I think I might be the only person to have not gotten personal or called anyone I'm talking to an expletive or challenged their masculinity by accusing them of being involuntarily celibate...but I'm arguing to be an a-hole? (another expletive comes my way btw)

Wait, did they do that? They…

Wait, did they do that? They obstructed the video release? I didn't see that. I'm sure it will be investigated, and damn sure scrutinized...hopefully by people who care about the truth, because that's actually important.

I have no problem with the Chiefs releasing him, they're a private organization. And I think your'e right, they knew the mob was coming and had to make a business decision, which is their prerogative and as you said, given the climate they had to do it. My problem is with the climate. I hate, and despise the Harvey weinstein and Ray Rice types, but there is such a fervor that we've lost the ability to distinguish these events and the individuals involved as separate. I don't think this incident rises to the lever of a Weinstein, Hunt, or even Carlos Hyde level of egregiousness. I'd love to have an actual conversation about it instead of being lambasted by personal insults and expletives, but again...the climate. It's unfortunate.

You know, this is so…

You know, this is so personal and far away from the actual conversation that I wouldn't normally digress this far, but I've literally never voted for a single republican. I'm a lifelong democrat who sometimes will side with an independent, but I have never visited the website you reference. Let's see if you'll venture back to the conversation points instead of getting oddly personal, maybe?

Oh boy, that figures. Very…

Oh boy, that figures. Very surprising, I thought you'd be chomping at the bit to back up your statements............

Puh-leez, even a stoned…

Puh-leez, even a stoned Craig would understand what I'm trying to say ;) Still, credit to you, one of my favorite gifs used against me :/

I'm only defending him…

I'm only defending him because some of you have lost touch with reality. I said he deserves to be suspended, face the legal system, and undergo counseling....buuuut a couple of you want to throw the guy to the wolves, and have him never work again. You're a modern day crazed pitch fork mob. So yes, I've been put in the terrible position of defending him for tonight...as much as one can be defending someone who you say deserves to be suspended and face the legal system. My Lord.

Can I spend them at the …

Can I spend them at the "Jerk store," I heard they called. Haha, thanks though Napoleon.

Does it? Explain, maybe I…

Does it? Explain, maybe I shouldn't say it anymore

You do realize that many of…

You do realize that many of the people who you think are on your side(not on this blog) would have major problems with what you just said?

But your grandfather's service record is indeed very relevant to this conversation and doesn't at all seem like you're trying to put yourself and your family on a pedestal. Since you brought it up, I too served, though I didn't box.

Look man, I agree with you. Men in general should not hit women. Hunt was completely out of line. There's no argument there. However, I also don't think this video proves that he's somehow some unredeemable woman beater. They both looked intoxicated, she went at him, he went at her...he's wrong, should be suspended, face whatever legal troubles come, and undergo counseling. But again, probably not a "monster." Both of them look in their early 20s and intoxicated. Pay the price, learn a lesson, but let's not sit up here as older guys and pretend like we're sitting on Ivory towers through this blog.

Are you a real person? Do…

Are you a real person? Do you think that's what getting kicked by a 200+ plus athlete looks like? And I'm not saying the guy is a good guy!! I'm just saying let's pump the breaks on acting as if he's some unimaginable monster. He should be suspended, and probably go through some counseling. Why is this such an insane opinion?

No it does, +20 virtue…

No it does, +20 virtue points.. lol

Yeah, you've used that…

Yeah, you've used that phrase already a couple of times in past post. (You might be virtue signalling if...) But no, you're right, they both have the ability to walk away....they both should have. Neither did. All pretty clear, no debate there buddy.

But I did ask a couple of questions, and you responded...but only with arguments regarding size and strength, and then the repetitive, easy...go-to favorite of the self righteous, " that's appalling." Tell me why it's appalling. Could't hunt have hurt this person if he really wanted to? Do you think not? Do men bare more responsibility in "walking away"? That seems pretty sexist in today's day and age, but I'd love to hear you try to explain it while also holding your progressive ground

Wait...gender is a social…

Wait...gender is a social construct man. Maybe you should lose your antiquated patriarchal mindset and join us progressives.

In the era of uncompromising…

In the era of uncompromising gender equality, why is there a distinction between an altercation between two men and a man and a woman? Is that not hypocritical?

Ray Rice should have been cut, Carlos Hyde, Joe Mixon all far, faaar more egregious than what that tape showed, and the latter two deserved worse than they got. I completely understand why the Chiefs cut Hunt...the mob was coming for them, and the virtue signalers are now out in full force despite them cutting the guy..."Why didn't they cut him before the tape came out?!!" ...yeah yeah, maybe they should retroactively forfeit all the games he played in this year, would that make them happy?...it wouldn't. The truth is these virtue signalling people find a way to put themselves above everyone actually involved, everytime, no matter what...However,  when you actually analyze it, it's abundantly clear that Hunt did not intend to cause actual harm to this person, who by the way was also fighting through people to get to Hunt. Drunken foolishness and don't get me wrong Hunt was WAY out of line, but clearly did not intend to cause actual physical harm to person, who by the way gets a pass for her part in continuing to go at Hunt, and also gets to play defenseless victim when it boils over and she's pushed to the ground. You may not like how this comes off, but the hypocrisy could not be more blatant.

I have a feeling you're the type of guy that could watch the police shoot someone for jaywalking and then say "well, he could have used the crosswalk." .... I mean yes, obviously Michigan didn't play perfectly which ideally you would like to play perfectly but that doesn't negate the egregiously one-sided officiating that had a direct outcome on the game.

Did you see the Colorado game?? Even if you don't

Did you see the Colorado game?? Even if you don't see anything else, he's the only reason we stayed in that game.

Catchers and pitchers have a

Catchers and pitchers have a grueling job and the season is 162 games long, almost twice as long as the NBA. Getting hit by pitches, running full speed and diving into the ground, or sliding into a base/catcher...catching cleats if your the SS or 2B trying to turn a double....I'd still go with MLB as being more grueling.

Not saying playing basketball

Not saying playing basketball is easy, at all, but I think it's probably the least hard on your body of the major sports. So I get being tired, but the way they phrase it, "stretched beyond his physical limits" is melodramatic.

If you don't think those

If you don't think those companies would fleece you given the opportunity you must not be paying attention to Comcast et al. But yes on your general point, most people will pay for the convenience, higher quality picture, and the idea of a clean conscience.

He was the most frequent but it was at least 95% someone else's story he was posting to the board or comments from his "coach buddy," an unnamed...former.. high school FB... assistant coach...whose opinion GBW readers were supposed to place importance on re: various subjects from recruiting to schematic details.

In addition to breaking no new content whatsoever, he's been known to personally insult people who express contrarion opinions. Personally, I'm not a fan, and I think this is actually addition by subtraction, and the site gets an instant credibility bump by his absence going forward.

You mean you don't think

Sam has never denied that Wheatley is likely to be on the staff, quite the opposite, actually. He did deny the report that it was a "done deal" at Red Robin last night.

Edit: I basically repeated what Don said without having read it, my bad. Need to read all replies before replying.
