I know UMASS is the outlier, but I was riding my bike around looking for a ticket about 60 mins before kickoff and went to one of the scalpers and asked if he just had a single, to which he replied "how many you need?" I offered him $15, he told me to get lost. So I rode by Hoover and State and got a single in section 24 for $16 from a very friendly Ginger.
As a nurse, I'm thrilled to see for the first time since following recruiting that someone wants to major in nursing. Michigan has one of the top 5 nursing schools in the country. With clinicals being a very big time commitment, I hope they would be willing to work with a football players schedule.
This was passed on to me from an eyewitness on the sideline at last years Gator Bowl: before Gibbon's kick Rich Rod went up to him and said "Hey Brendan, if you miss this, you're f***ing done." He proceeded to miss the kick. He reluctantly walked to the sideline and Rich said loudly for all to hear "Hey Brendan, F**k you!"
I honestly think he still gets a kick out of it. I saw him at the Jug the other night with a T-shirt that had a caricature of himself and it said "Lloyd Brady lives here" with his campus address on the back. It looked like a shirt that he and all his roomates had made. He was more than friendly to the couple of people who wanted to shake his hand and take a picture of him.
from Midway take the CTA, a.k.a the "L". Take the orange line from Midway to downtown, transfer to the Red Line, that takes you north of downtown where you can transfer to the Purple line, which will take you right into Evanston.
this, my friend, is good news. I was just watching Bob Davie talk about how Greg Mattison is a great recruiter more than anything else. I wonder if Mattison is the one recruiting this guy.
I love Coach and Four. Labatt Blue in the fridge, Playboys on the hockey stick coffee table and the best haircut around. Every time I go there, the mail man is sitting in one of the empty vintage barber chairs drinking a beer.
After reading this and the Freep version, I am not really optimistic about the way Tate comes across. He had a chance to dispel the transfer possibilities once and for all but says (from the freep interview) "It is what it is". And in this article he says he decided after the UConn game to at least stay through this year, and didn't address the future at all. This even further confirms my suspicion that he will transfer.
It's an opinion. A "Prediction based on flimsy evidence" if you will. And I was taught in high school writing class to state an opinion without saying "I think" or "I believe" to preface it.
from what I have observed, they are down on the field during pre-game and warmups then watch the game from the Michigan sideline, maybe on like the 30 or 40 yd line toward the student section 15-20 rows up.
This is the first film I have seen on Conway. It seems to me like he runs lazy routs (0:50), gives up too early on plays (0:55), does not have great hands (1:18), blocks like a pansy (1:22), is afraid to take a hit over the middle (1:30) and lacks elite speed (2:12).
Obviously, the passing totals are definitely achievable, if not likely. But wow, those rushing totals are ridiculous. If he can put up those rushing numbers, I like our chances in any game of the Big Ten and can't help but think about what he can help this team achieve. THE TEAM, THE TEAM, THE TEAM.
It is my understanding that "scalped" means over face value. In which case, I dont think you have to worry about scalped tickets, they should be available under face value. If you feel like it, just go to the game a little early and look for someone on the street who needs to get rid of some tickets, not someone trying to flip tickets for money. My guess would be that you can get a pair for $60.
I really doubt it will be another record crowd as he said at the end. I'm guessing it will be until the MSU or Iowa game where we reset the record for largest crowd ever to watch a college football game.
Exceeded: Although this may be premature, given he has only played one year, I'm going with Vincent Smith. He began last year behind Minor, Brown and Shaw and concluded the year by proving not only to be serviceable, but potentially a standout, All Conference performer.
Fell Short: Shawn Crable. A physical beast, but a knucklehead.
re: The Impaler
no, I am not joking and I am not ignorant. I have torn my ACL before, been through the rehab for it and gotten plenty of education on the injury. And I also have a formal education in health sciences. As plenty of other educated posters have pointed out, there are modifiable risk factors involved with an ACL tear. It was a simple observation of at trend and an inquiry of opinions on the subject. Therefore, YOUR post is one of the most ignorant posts I've seen and you deserve the negbang.
I tore my ACL and meniscus 2 years ago playing basketball, it was on the landing of a dunk in warm ups (embarrassing). I had a patellar graft and still dont feel 100%. There is still a low grade ache/stiffness. I am playing basketball recreationally but definitely will never dunk the ball again and still feel like I cant really load that leg in cutting, sprinting and jumping like I used to. No tendinitis, but i also cant kneel much at all. If I were to do it again, I would try the hamstring graft, good luck.
My Bullets
- Manny Harris is one of the best players in the country.
- Matt Vogrich looks like he is 12.
- DeShawn Sims, with his outside shooting, combined with his well timed aggression down low, is an incredible weapon.
- I was impressed with Darius Morris, he appears to be content being a true point guard and is not preoccupied with becoming a scorer.
- Ben Cronin appears incredibly uncomfortable and awkward, he walks with a significant "hip limp" and looks to be out of whack, almost like someone with hip dysplasia and/or scoliosis. Is this just since his surgery, or is this the reason he had surgery in the first place?
For the Love of all that is pure and holy. . . With prayers on the spirit of Fielding Yost whom Ufer has thanked for previous miracles. Dont let this happen. We have seen too much and do not deserve to be put through this tragedy again. We humbly ask for a new beginning. Please send us a sign, a promise that you will not destroy our universe again with such a pathetic waste of space. Amen.

Success in track definitely means you have what it takes to be an elite wide receiver. Sincerely, D.J. Williamson

Diversity, I believe it was the name of an old wooden ship used in the civil war era.
Couldn't Hoke pull a JoePa and just deny a transfer request like he did to Bolden?

Give it up with Fitz Toussaint, the guy is not gonna be some mysterious weapon thats unleashed to save the day for the next 2 games.

Do you believe this is an acceptable comment to make about a teammate? As true as it may be, I don't see how a comment like this builds team unity.
thank you.

In order to avoid the situation of getting him confused with the real Bo. The Nebraska coach will be referred to as Little Bo Peep.
