Can anyone explain why Jalen Brunson dropped so far?

06/12/2018 - 11:29pm Will Smith, Robin Williams,…

Will Smith, Robin Williams, Jim Carrey (focus on his good ones because I acknowledge he had a lot of whiffs)

06/01/2018 - 7:19am You

Must be doing very well for yourself, partner. Sounds like you're sandwiched between two very expensive communities. I'm in the cheaper familyville suburbia of Austin lol

05/23/2018 - 11:34pm Google ChooseFI or find the FB grouo/podcast

Then retire early and be happy forever. Save a screenshot of this post, and look back in 10-20 years how a single mgoblog post changed the rest of your life

05/23/2018 - 11:11pm Funny

I'm alternating between Mgoblog and Kindle as we speak. On Kindle I'm halfway into the little book of common sense investing by Bogle

04/28/2018 - 10:46am You're right

Within the small subset of friends who met him at parties, they were not too fond of his personality because of a perceived level of arrogance and unfriendliness

04/28/2018 - 9:50am He was known as a real dick

When I was in school with him, at least among the students. I wonder how his teammates and coaches viewed him

04/21/2018 - 5:57pm His

His alcoholism, depression, and anger were super evident if you watched him on the Surreal life. I think he was on the same season as Vanilla Ice

04/18/2018 - 11:52pm Gotta admit

He is right on this one

04/17/2018 - 8:37am He already left

I don't know if he was ever allowed back, but UMBIG11 broke the news back around November that they cleared his stuff out of the locker room before the season even kicked off

04/15/2018 - 12:54am Beautiful

I live 5 mi. from the Austin Spurs arena and regularly get free tickets. I would love to have a reason to emotionally invest myself in a team who just won the G-league championship

03/27/2018 - 8:25am Doesn't

Doesn't seem to work for me - link?

03/25/2018 - 11:58am Will

Will UM send out an email like they do for no games, selling tickets to alumni for a fair price?

03/25/2018 - 1:32am I

I feel like it's not as exciting because we've gotten luckier seeds this year than 2013

03/23/2018 - 12:14am ....

Sarcasm..?

03/23/2018 - 12:14am I knew

They didn't know how to pay as a team yet, but that didn't mean I wasn't scared like crazy of playing that crazy athletic Blue Chips / Fab 5-like team

01/04/2018 - 11:21am That

That was the only thing that stood out to me as well

12/29/2017 - 10:39am Where

Where is he at in the progression of his degree(s)?

12/13/2017 - 7:51pm Nope

But I think he will jump on as a FA and stick for a few seasons

12/13/2017 - 12:27am Same situation here

Rep'ed the maize & blue in the alumni section of the arena. I agree w/ the poster above, undergrad alma mater always wins over the heart

08/17/2016 - 6:31pm Google app

Google app

06/07/2016 - 4:31am He likes coke

I walked in on him and his entourage doing coke and weed in the bathroom at Caesar's palace, but he was a nice dude when I said hey

03/16/2016 - 10:58pm Also

Also the March Madness app, which is on Apple TV 4 and the Amazon Fire store. You need a cable login, though

02/10/2016 - 9:34pm Did

Did anyone else catch the referee flirting w/ the cute girl on the sideline who looked like Kourtney Kardashain??

01/23/2016 - 12:20am Kentucky has a Fab 5

Kentucky has 4 of the top 15 players in the nation, and 5 of the top 27. That compilation is BETTER THAN the fab 5 (Ray Jackson I believe was in the 40's). I know this is a different era of recruiting, but gawd..

Also, MSU has 4 of the top 40 players, which is pretty depressing news..

01/16/2016 - 2:21pm Be prepared

One other poster mentioned it, but be mentally prepared for the possibility of a miscarriage until at least the 16-week appt. Our Dr. all-but-assured us we were past the risky stage at 11 weeks (based on the heartbeat and other indicators). After sharing the news w/ quite a few friends and family, we found a week later our girl didn't make it.

It was only then that a ton of people confided in us that they also went through miscarriage(s). It hardly ever gets announced on Facebook or talked about in social circles, so you have no idea how rampant it is until it happens to you. Actually, most Dr.'s in the medical field can't even predict the national % for similar reasons, but we've heard it can be as high as 33% of pregnancies.

01/09/2016 - 11:37am Thanks

I'm on my way to the game, and I forgot to make one of these. Look I know I'm TV for a group of people in yellow highlighter apparel during the two announcements!

01/07/2016 - 5:09pm Who got invited?

I've heard of some players rejecting these invites because they feel it could actually worsen their stock or lead to an injury.

I'm curious if there were any UM players who got invited that aren't listed here? Isn't Jarrod Wilson good enough for this game?

01/06/2016 - 12:17pm This ^^^^^

Yeah, why the tears?

01/03/2016 - 1:44pm This

This is not OT

11/27/2015 - 11:12am I love the Woodson

I love the Woodson comparisons and Heisman talk, but I don't think the Heisman can happen. CBs just get a lot more opportunities at INT's than safeties. He's shown he can grab a few, but would 3-4 in a season be enough?

04/30/2015 - 11:30am 5 guys

5 guys is obviously better, but it's also twice the price of In 'n Out. Your question should have the precursor, "Dollar for dollar, which is better?"

02/22/2015 - 12:52pm I knew of his name

But I needed to look back at my music library to see he was a part of Mercy, Clique, and Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay. Not a bad resume

02/08/2015 - 3:20pm Even

Even if he removed his Twitter account, people still could bash him on there or any other social media platform. #MikeWeberisa_________

02/08/2015 - 3:15pm I

I can completely understand why she would want to defend Mike and how it would hurt. However, it's absolutely silly to think the issue exists with just particular fanbases. I've heard people like McGary say there partially won over by UM's passionate fans who encouraged him to come, so I guess I'm not surprised the opposite type of attention can actually affect him

02/08/2015 - 3:11pm Mike

Mike has always been pretty quiet in talking to recruiting sites and has not demanded attention on his Twitter in the way others have

02/08/2015 - 3:07pm Easy bud

Easy, bud. Unless it's his friends messing around, he should never take personal attacks from a rival fanbase

02/03/2015 - 8:31am To the OP

I think some of it might just be idiosyncratic. It sounds like some of them grew up in an MSU house and some felt their position was too deep for playing time this year (Kelly). The ones that stick out in my mind as misses are Stallworth, Alabi, and Tyriq Thompson (legacy)

02/03/2015 - 8:22am Grant Perry

Grant Perry, undecided, reason for not choosing Michigan? Hmm, that seems to be the only missing question in the article lol

02/02/2015 - 3:24pm Did

Did he have a preferred walk-on offer before? If not, maybe that's what this is

01/31/2015 - 12:02pm I

I don't buy the article. He's going to have to say a quote about being all Hawkeyes to prevent backlash from Iowa's staff and fanbase. I know the OP is a big UM fan, but he also seems like a legit guy who wouldn't do all this leg work and waste his player's time if there was no hope for a change. He would also be severing his relationship w/ Harbaugh if he sent a kid up there who had no interest in flipping.

With that kind of academic record, though, I'm surprised he ever decided on Iowa. They're not terrible, but even my current grad school classmates say they regret having gone there because of the lack of academic prestige.

01/30/2015 - 2:02am You're

You're right. It must run in the blood because his uncle played baseball at UT, I believe

01/30/2015 - 1:38am Also, I meant that he won't

Also, I meant that he won't play QB at the pro level, but maybe another position. If you look at his pics, 5'10" is generous (which 247 lists him at). Brees and Manziel are listed at 6', and Wilson is at least 5'11" (not that 1-2" is a huge deal, but those guys you mentioned are very rare game changers). I live in Austin, and there's not very much optimism around Merrick, whose best offers were CSU and Nevada

01/30/2015 - 1:28am What's next?

With Murray's height, I don't think he'll ever play pro ball - still a tough loss for Strong, though. I wonder if he uses the last few days to go for a middling 3-star dual-threat, or someone in more of a Gentry mold

01/30/2015 - 1:08am Agreed

And isn't UCLA the most applied to public school in the nation? Cal, UCLA, and UVA all just came out above us in the US News

01/30/2015 - 12:52am Low income here

I grew up in trailer parks, and at one point was relying on food stamps and the food shelter. I emancipated from my parents in HS, and my Mom could only afford the gas to visit campus once/semester from her house 3 hrs. away. My 2 brothers and I were all first-gen college grads, and we ended up all doing it at UM. I guess my situation was a bit different because I earned a full-ride tuition scholarship to get my tuition covered (but covered everything else myself), while my brothers took on part-time jobs and a shitload of loans. Senior year I had to get a school-funded emergency loan to cover the last semester's living expenses.

Well, my bros and I were stuck around campus every spring break w/ the international students, and we had to forgo more expensive dinners, outings. It wasn't that difficult to adjust. We were used to being the poorest people in our schools growing up, even in middle-class schools. We were at UM because we knew we could get post-grad jobs that would keep us from ever living paycheck-to-paycheck again.

Unless it was happening behind my back, the only people who actually got made fun of about money were the lazy, spoon-fed rich kids who pissed away their parents' money by ditching class and not working a job. There were also humble, hardworking rich kids who were treated as normally as everyone else. In fact, they were always super generous about intentionally inviting their low-income friends to dinner when their parents visited because they knew their parents would and could cover the tab.

I thought it was crazy when I started at UM and saw the avg. household income of a UM student was $150k. "How are they all that rich??" By maintaining that same strict financial discipline over the years, I'm now positioned to demonstrate to my kids $150k is a moderately low bar when they work relentlessly.

01/29/2015 - 9:52pm #9

#9: Chris's sister can visit Ann Arbor. Wait, I think that's on the other list, the one for UM fans... http://t.co/T2Te8svMJs

01/29/2015 - 9:18pm Tyrone Wheatley

It's where Jim took Tyrone Wheatley to celebrate after? before? signing his contract to come on board

01/28/2015 - 10:46pm I also assume he stays SoCal

I read an update where Snoop said it hurt USC's chances because they lost to UCLA this year. Also, it's worth noting that he's really tight w/ Iman Marshall and Josh Rosen
