Not sure divisions are needed. Just have conference 1 and 2 play for championship. So M-OSU play two weeks in a row? Make the head to head winner of 1-2 match-up get homefield advantage for championship game. Maintains emphasis on regular season and ensures a sell out for championship game. Can't argue that an artificially created homefield advantage is formed. Lets say Indiana were to finish 2nd somehow and then play in Indy despite having lost to M in regular season. Divisions won't be even and will likely produce a 1 v. 3/4/5 matchup in BigTen Championship game.
Seems like the more I learn about Texas the less they fit to me with Big10. Me first attitude and trying to strong arm others. I wouldn't be surprised if they demanded more than an even split of revenue. Texas doesn't fit the Midwestern attitude of the conference. I think Nebraska may be the only team added.
Top 2 meet in Conf Championship at regular season winners home field. This ensures that rivalries are important games even if UM-OSU are locked in 1 and 2.

Play one rivalry game at the end of each season. Rotate the rest. No divisions.
