03/26/2018 - 8:04pm No Seratore?

Wow I'm shocked just so the announcers can talk about having the Super Bowl and Final 4 for 5 minutes.

03/26/2018 - 7:07pm Wymer

Wymer did the Houston game.  I thought he actually was keeping the game in check while the other 2 whistled everything against us.

He's pretty horrible, maybe because he gets paired with Valentine consistently as Big 10's #1 crew.

03/25/2018 - 12:15am Duncan

He knew Duncan had scored 6+ points.  The game was over.

03/25/2018 - 12:01am Hey Coach Cal?

You want a photo of the Alamo?

03/08/2018 - 11:16pm Walter White

If Beilein is Walter White, is Jordan Poole his Jesse Pinkman?

03/08/2018 - 11:13pm My geuss

I told you this was my fucking state

03/08/2018 - 10:38pm Just got through Iowa

I just watched the Duncan Dagger 3 for Iowa  10 times.  It's memorizing.  The net doesn't even move.

There's a reason even the announcers drool over his shot, its a work of art.

03/04/2018 - 8:46pm Look at Duncan

He can't even contain his excitment!

03/02/2018 - 8:24am Power surge

MLB hides behind the fact that the balls conform to their standards.  The standards have broad tolerances, so effectively means nothing.

They are juiced.  Hoskins, Judge, Trea Turner come to the majors and hit more homers in a half season than complete seasons in the minors.

There's more examples.

02/25/2018 - 10:30pm Starter

Balvenie Doublewood is a good introduction.

But people are right, trying a JW Black is probably the best thing.

Dang, Lagavulin went up in price since the last time I bought it.

02/24/2018 - 12:01am 1998

Was UCLA  see above.  Apparently many people think that.

I don't remember it.  But if you allow somone to take 27 shots, maybe the bench is in order.

02/23/2018 - 11:51pm Glad I could spur you to join

I remember when I had to throw away my original maize rage shirt.  Sad day.

It's funny I remember that Brian quote too.  And took it to mean the same thing.  Since all 3 of us were at the school at the same time.

02/23/2018 - 11:45pm Yeah

I'm not going to argue.  He was my favorite.  I may be remembering through rosy colored glasses.

I was 15-18 at the time.  Teenage me could be very biased.

Thought he was a good defensive rebounder at least.  May just be conflating with Baston

02/23/2018 - 11:30pm Looking at the box

UCLA went 9-17 from 3.

Bullock had an awful shooting game.  But considering UCLA had 3 NBA guards. Bailey, Watson and Baron Davis!

Bullock using 27 shots to get 16 points to makes my head explode.

I want to say this was more of a typical Michigan loss. We tried to run with them. Negating our advantage in bigs.  And their guards were better.

02/23/2018 - 11:22pm NIT title

The year they won the NIT  they were probably an elite 8 caliber team.  Ward was hurt for half the season and he came back and they came together.

They were big and scary.

02/23/2018 - 11:21pm Interesting

Haven't heard that one.

Just by memory,  it was one where Tobey Bailey went off.  Just Purdue like couldn't miss.

Michigan had poor point guard play.  It was always tough.  I wonder if a box score would tell.

That MSU game.  My friend at the game and me watching on TV came to the same conclusion separately.

02/23/2018 - 11:11pm Bunch of stuff

Conlon was a good glue guy.  He was a taller spike version.  But not on par with anyone in the original Fab 5.

Mitchell was former Mr Basketball,  seemed to get lazy in college and or just couldnt cut it.  Transferred to Alabama -Birmingham.  R

Ward was the #1 overall player from Mississippi, truly one of the great what -ifs.  Couldn't stay healthy with his knees until his senior season.  Came out of nowhere to committ to Michigan.  Let's just say, thinking about it now it's very suspicious.

Taylor was the prototypical PF with a NBA body a Juwan Howard post up game.  Super active on the boards.

Baston was a Spider Salley clone who was pretty raw but could jump out of the gym.  Pretty skinny.  A typical dunk and defense 5.

On a side note, I will go to my grave that not only was Bullock dirty taking money, again one of those recruitng battles from DC that went our way.  He was shaving points Specifically the 99 MSU game at home.  With a spread of 6-7 in favor of MSU, he missed 2 free throws ( he was 90%) went 0-5 from 3, he was 40%,  and during the last 4 minutes with us threatening the spread.  He got a technical foul!  His first tech of his career!  How many tech's are given to players that arent taunting? On reflection may have been 2000.

02/15/2018 - 10:47pm Paying Bball players is much older than most people on the blog

UCLA paid players during the Wooden era.

If you think  teams are clean, you're naive.

By the way on Izzo, the Flintstones were bought.  I think he's been cleaner recently, or got uncomfortable with the amounts.

Duke, Kansas, UNC, UCLA, Gonzaga, MSU, Kentucky, Florida, Cuse are and more.

We point when Ole Miss starts pulling 5 stars, but don't bat an eyelash when Gonzaga starts pulling them too.

The NCAA will clean hosue of coaches, give schools 1 year post season bans.  And the cash cow will go on.  UNC is bigger than Roy, Kansas bigger than Self, Kentucky bigger than Cal, Duke is now bigger than Coach K.

By the way, on a tangent.  I think this is part of Harbuagh's malady.  Imagine being hypercompetitive and knowing you are getting screwed behind the scenes.

02/12/2018 - 12:18pm The original article

The original article wasn't the problem.  It was fair and pretty well researched.  But seemed like a whole lot of nothing.  Some money invested overlaps with big donors.

The unsigned editorial from their board putting MSU sex scandals and was the huge problem and a joke.

In the newspaper, they postscripted his editorial with paraphraseWe did not conflate the MSU issue with the Michigan issue.

Our Feb. 4 editorial suggested that the lack of transparency surrounding the University of Michigan's endowment investment practices and Michigan State University's response to sexual assault allegations against Dr. Larry Nassar raise unanswered questions about each institution's conduct. The editorial neither conflated the two matters nor suggested any equivalency between them.

Really!! You conflated them by putting them in the same editorial.  It was Jedi Mind Trick stuff.

01/29/2018 - 8:32pm Schutte

Schutte would arrest his mother if it meant 10K votes.

01/26/2018 - 11:31pm Callng Mgo Lawyer/insurance

So between MSU and their insurance carriers will outlay the 100 million or so for the Nassar case.

How are they get anyone to insure them again with Izzo and Dantonio still employed and these allegations hanging over their heads?

01/08/2018 - 11:53am I wish I could upvote more

Even the MSM Detroit media devolves in to Harbaugh isn't earning his paycheck.

Harbaugh and company are worth what another school or NFL would pay them.

Bears, Lions, Volunteers,  would write a 10 million per year check right now if they could get Harbaugh.

Since Haubaugh and the football team fund 90% of the athletic department, and we were losing money under Hoke.  He earns his money every single year before he ever wins a game.

Assistant coaches are just collateral damage in the payroll department.

01/05/2018 - 12:43pm Maizen

Although Brian's head might actually explode Scanner's style

12/20/2017 - 5:42pm Holy shit!

What's you secret?!!

Of course you could sell one of those easily and keep the other two and come out even.

My wife got me a 10 year last year.  Because I jokingly said "A bottle of Pappy Van Winkle" when she asked what I wanted for Xmas last year.

I was completely amazed... And then I got the credit card bill .  I about threw up.  I don't even want to drink it at the price the liqour store scammed her out of

12/19/2017 - 6:50pm Not bad..

But is it all that rare..   Bo signed a bunch of footballs and Harbaugh is still alive and does public signings.  Get a Bo ball, get it signed by Jimmy...Profit

$500 tops.

12/07/2017 - 11:03pm Cmon

I lived there 4 years and it snowed 3 times.  I know because I got a snow day eah time for less than 1 inch every time which as a Michigainian I consider a dusting as a teacher.

So basically I thought it was once a year occurance, overerly pacing the unfortunate hurricane threats which were twice in 4 years.  .  Hope you were ok.

12/06/2017 - 4:21pm Massive pay cut

He would have to take a massive pay cut, and increase his work load.

Why would he take an entry level position?

11/20/2017 - 7:51pm Pobkey

Show him the arm,  Pobkey!

11/20/2017 - 7:49pm Eagle Rare

Great Bourbon for price point.  A little harder to find.

Red Breast -Irish Whiskey

Balvenie Double Wood- Scotch

EH Taylor - Another Bourbon

11/10/2017 - 10:29pm Literally

Literally, there's people on this board who hates everyone that isn't Keith Jackson.

Millen, Herby, Speilman, Huard, Blackmon.  Someone on this board hates one of these if not everyone.

"Michigan fans are only happy when they're unhappy."

I always think talking for 3.5 half hours is an impossible job, when you think a football game is only 18 minutes of action.   Talk to a TV executive pitching a show where guys talk for 3 hours, he will laugh in your face.

That being  said Quinn and Mason kinda suck.  I like all the guys above, they have flaws but call a good game.

And Joe Buck calling baseball can go to hell...  Fricking best World Series all time...he's updating the time every half inning.   If you don't want to be there just say so, everyone else is enjoying these amazing games.

11/10/2017 - 9:58pm 1738 Remy SideCar

Had the toddler all day and wife worked late.  3rd drink already

This followed a Monkey 47 Dry Gin martini and  then 2 fingers of Blade and Bow Bourbon

11/03/2017 - 9:15am Where's Wallace

Where's Wallace?  Where's Wallace!

11/01/2017 - 9:24pm That is a blast from the past

Still listen that album once in a while.

11/01/2017 - 12:37pm Loved Hot N Now

The one in Bay City held on forever,  I want to say it was open  < 5 years ago.

Olive burgers were the go to.  I was tending bar and chop up the olives for my olive burger lunch.

11/01/2017 - 12:30pm It's an easy solution

In today's world of every game  on TV.

YOU need to be the change.  You need to become Yankees, Duke (or Kansas), Notre Dame, Cowboys fan.

Start buying only these shirts,  only go to the front page any catelog.  Start vehemently proclaiming your fandom for them.  Cut ties with anyone who questions you.

If anyone asks why you're a fan with no affilation to any of these teams, say  'I liked the colors when I was a kid."

Do it right and you're guarantteed at least one winner every year.

10/26/2017 - 11:27pm Transitive property...

means we lose by 70?

10/22/2017 - 12:01am You win

You win.

You are right.

10/21/2017 - 11:56pm Like I should

Like I should listen to guy who finished last in his class at West Point.

10/21/2017 - 11:55pm Uh I agree

I agree. .....    PSU showed us how to use a bye week.  And we got killed  It gets better.

10/21/2017 - 11:50pm Pickett

Make one positive post ever.....

Replacing 18 starters with a backup qb is hard.. who knew?

10/19/2017 - 7:32pm White Sox

Are building a juggernaut.  Think they will be fully operational, before we start contending again.

10/18/2017 - 8:35am In the Wisconsin 1st paragraph

"then travels to Iowa and Indiana before hosting Iowa"

That's  quite  a bit of Iowa, will kill a normal man.

10/15/2017 - 11:18am Just accept..

We're Les Miles LSU right now.  Great defense, infuriating offense.  Except we don't have an all world running back making the medicre Offensive line look good.

10/15/2017 - 10:44am OSU

For the last 10 years and counting....

10/13/2017 - 8:34pm Yikes..

Mike Hart coaches for Indiana now.

Say 4 Our Fathers, 3 Hail Marys.  and 5 Who's got it Better than Us

10/13/2017 - 8:17pm First Drink

1738 Remy served old fashioned Wisconsin style.

10/13/2017 - 12:35am 2015 MSU

I love the 1984 level thinking vs MSU.

They were a playoff team with a 3rd round NFL QB.  We had a guy who transferred in who Iowa dropped.

MSU had more talent in 2015.  We outcaoched them!

We were thinking of going 7-5 in 2015 and be happy.  We go 10-3, with a bullshit loss.

Now, we're a silicon valley startup with too big evaluation to start.  There's no room to show growth. So the fans get frustrated and the startup dies

10/10/2017 - 10:51am Not that we're going to be PSU

But think of PSU last year.  They get completely outclassed in every phase for 3.5 hours against us.

They turn their season around on some luck and good play.

As bad as it looked on Saturday, it can turn just as fast.

10/08/2017 - 8:19pm Except you know..

Those 3000 yards in Houston.

I mean the capability is there, although he could be broken.

We've seen him in 3 games, 2 with poor weather.
