I could really go either way on Clausen. I always got the feeling that if there was any pressure on him in the pocket that he just couldn't make plays, even easy ones. On the other hand, when given the time to stand back there he has proven to be good. Potential bust there.
i remember some story about M dropping him because of some strange behavior. speculation aboutu asking for money or something like that. the kid looked great this year though. would be a nice athlete to have.
i agree and am really surprised i had to scroll down this far to find 1 person who didn't think he said faggot. it actually seemed clear to me that he didn't say it, everyone calm down.
tough to tell how good this new alabama team is under anthony grant. but it would be a nice confidence boost early in the season to atleast beat a big name
two years ago all my lsu fan friends were saying god i hope michigan takes les miles from us. i didnt understand really what they meant until i started paying attention but now i get it. hes not....hes not good
it really sucks that so many people watched the kid for the first time tonight and say "oh well yeah he played out of his mind against a bad ND defense" when he has been doing this all year long. if he played on a team in the central or eastern time zone for a slightly more relevant team he'd be at the top of a lot of lists
i think before the game there was a pretty good special on his donation and everything he has done. unfortunately i couldnt hear it because i had it on tv 2, with michigan creighton on tv 1 with audio. it looked pretty good though
it hasnt happened yet, but an orton brees matchup would be one of those that a lot of people wouldn't even realize as 2 purdue guys, because you know, its purdue
very true. i went to a creighton game in the qwest center a few weeks back. its every bit as big a production as kentucky bball when i used to live in lexington. pretty cool
I remember this one time, when we got off to a terrible start, and then we got defending national champion Florida with their heisman winner jim nemo in the capital one bowl, and then Lloyd let Chad henne do whatever he wanted for the whole game, and then we won, and then that was one of the happiest days ever, and then everything turned out ok
I can remember being really excited because Matt Guttierez (sp?) was slated to start after Navarre left. I couldn't believe my eyes but it appeared that he was capable of at least jogging at a crisp pace, which was strange to me at the time but I wanted to know more. Insert shoulder injury and freshman Chad Henne....so I guess that turned out ok eventually, but I love talking about theh way things used to be now. Lets do this the rest of the day.
Agreed, this would have been a good pickup but doesn't feel like it makes much of a difference in the grand scheme of things. I'm excited about Vincent Smith.
Amaker was a mistake, yes. Rodriguez, not so much. If she stands behind Rodriguez, we'll take in some more disappointments in the next couple years but in 6 years we'll look back and thank god we stuck with it (god I hope I'm right)
