12/07/2017 - 3:34pm It is my understanding

that the premium is deferred until the student signs their professional contract.   The payment is then made to the insurance company by the player.

11/24/2017 - 9:46am Getting JOK banged up

when there is no real plan B may not be the best approach.

11/24/2017 - 9:43am Harbaugh may be an acquired taste

Sleep overs and other recruiting tactics appeal to some recruits, others don't go for that sort of thing.   No one can please everyone, except maybe Saban.

10/23/2017 - 10:51am Parking is a zoo.

They aren't used to big crowds and don't know how to handle.   Parked quite a ways away for $20 in someones lawn.   Had a good time.   Lots of climbing to get up to my seats,  but highly recommended.   Maryland fans were very accommodating.

10/17/2017 - 8:47am If it is on the Internet...

It has got to be true!

08/04/2017 - 2:17pm Punishment based on ability

Since he is a 1st teamer - no suspension

Lesser used player would have been suspended.

Baker Mayfield. 1st team QB Oklahoma - No suspension

Oklahoma Backup QB - dropped from team

07/13/2017 - 3:51pm Maybe they read this week's Michigan Monday.

Michigan Monday: Can Wilton Speight Lead Michigan to a Big Ten Title?

06/19/2017 - 10:30am Funny story

A long time ago, I was flying 1st class coming home from LA.   The guy beside me asks if I know who the guy is 2 rows in front of me.   I tell him no.   He said it is "Prince".  I tell him I never heard of him.   He said he is a really talented musician that writes all his music, plays all the instruments and sings all vocals on his album.   I started following him from then on.  He was pretty talented.

06/08/2017 - 4:24pm Chris Holtmann of Butler

Appears to be the next target

04/27/2017 - 3:55pm OSU just scheduled Washington

In related news, OSU announced they will play September 7, 2024 at Husky Stadium in Seattle. The Huskys will  return that game with a  contest on September 13, 2025 in Ohio Stadium.

They also announced a game with TCU that will take place at AT&T stadium, Dallas on September 15, 2018.

04/20/2017 - 3:16pm Not as wacky as some, but still strange

There was a guy that was in the cubicle behind me that started to play music LOUD.   I decided to walk over and ask him to put on headphones.   When I got to his cube, I noticed that he was wearing headphones.   The music was blarring through his headphones.   On top of that, all afternoon, he played the same some over and over and over.   Queen's I got to break free.

10/07/2016 - 2:36pm Tom Herman says Urban Meyer could take Jim Harbaugh in a fight…

05/24/2016 - 1:44pm Briles won more games

that is the determining factor.

03/10/2016 - 4:09pm R U talking about me?

can't be me

03/10/2016 - 1:32pm other than being long and right it was on target

02/22/2016 - 10:44am my setup

I have a netgear router. For devices that are capable of 5G I see wireless networks of NETGEAR000 and NETGEAR000-G. For devices that aren't 5G capable I only see NETGEAR000.

01/07/2016 - 2:20pm Does Oregon have a defense?

I've never seen one.

12/02/2015 - 11:25am warm weather p5

which ones would hire him?

11/19/2015 - 11:09am Schedule has been crowded

Urban now has his press conf on Monday. This week OSU had BB game on Monday that he covered. Those reports got posted 1st.

11/03/2015 - 8:26pm I think the committee actually watched games

Bama and OSU have both looked real good at times. Iowa hasn't really been impressive.

Urban changing his press conference to Monday has caused him issues with his schedule.

09/15/2015 - 10:48am Maybe they will hire Brandon

bad to worse

09/13/2015 - 7:06pm PAC 12 North is terrible

Washington, Washington St. Oregon St. Stanford and Cal.   Oregon will blow them all away.   Utah and USC are only ranked teams on their schedule.  Probably end up 10-3 or 9-4.  They will get lots of attention due to their glitz appeal.

08/30/2015 - 9:09am If you must have sound, then Bally's Sports Book

They have large screens, but also have small tv that can be tuned to the stations by each user.   There are connections for headphones or listen through the tv.   Done it lots of times.   There are also quite a few places to pick up food near the Sports Book.   They let you bring the food into the Sports Book.   There is a Saparro's.   I've seen people bring whole pizza in.

08/12/2015 - 4:34pm Phyllis from Mulga won't watch the pre-game

that will hurt ratings

07/24/2015 - 5:39pm I went to OSU vs Maryland last year

They had their biggest crowd since 2008. They dont di big attendance well. it took forever to find a parking spot. Everyone to areas the required parking passes. I had to walk a long way campus.

Stadium is nice fans were nice probably cause they were outnumbered.

I will go back

Ed Ratliff - All American - Long Beach State/Tarkanian

Dwight Lamar - All American - SW Louisianna - Led nation in scoring.avg 31 ppg over college career

12/20/2010 - 8:08am Team Ranking

The way Scout does their team rankings is (Star Avg * # of Recruits)

Here is how it looks according to Scouts:

Rank School # Commits Scout Avg Rank

1 Ohio State 19 3.79 72.01

2 Notre Dame 19 3.47 65.93

3 Nebraska 18 3.39 61.02

4 Illinois 23 2.48 57.04

5 Iowa 19 2.84 53.96

6 Wisconsin 19 2.84 53.96

7 Michigan State 16 3.25 52.00

8 Indiana 18 2.67 48.06

9 Michigan 14 3.43 48.02

10 Minnesota 15 2.47 37.05

11 Northwestern 13 2.77 36.01

12 Purdue 12 2.00 24.00

13 Penn State 8 2.75 22.00

11/03/2010 - 1:45pm I don't know if this will work with 4-5 wide receivers

With multiple wide receivers in man coverage, there would be no safety over the top.   Either that or no pass rush.   With no help over the top, big plays would occur.   With no pass rush, someone is bound to get open.

09/24/2010 - 4:49pm I think we need a chart to go with it!

Pam Ward is HOT!!!!

07/10/2010 - 6:42am 2011 schedule

Brian, you said " Michigan does get the ND/PSU/OSU trio at home in 2011"  This could get whacked to pieces by the scheduling computer when Nebraska is added into the mixer.

06/09/2010 - 7:10am I read it a little

I read it a little differently.  It sounds like he has officially been denied.  The coaches have told him they are trying to get it reversed,  The part about sending back the LOI and getting a release back sounds official.

05/27/2010 - 2:37pm I'm not sure about Kelly

The issue maybe that the competition in the Big East isn't very good and an above average coach looks great.   I know Kelly was gone, but Cincinnati sure didn't look like world beaters against Florida.   Success in the Big East may not equate to success in other BCS conferences.

05/05/2010 - 8:03pm There are a lot of offers out there!
By our count RR has now offered 132 2011 Prospects already.

11/30/2009 - 9:22pm Penn State

Penn State looked like they were trying to give it away the last couple of minutes. I'm glad they were able to hang on. Only 5 more wins needed.

11/13/2009 - 10:01am YES!

11/11/2009 - 3:08pm It could be something as simple as going to a bowl game

They players get airfare money and gifts from the bowls, plus the extra practices. If I were a recruit, it is something I would consider.

11/05/2009 - 9:29am Not exactly Apples to Apples

This is good analysis, but it doesn't take into account the fact the prior years were complete and current year is incomplete. Schedules are not equally weighted 1st to last, i.e., out of conference vs in conference. You should either compare the 1st 8 games of the prior years to the this year or wait until the end of year.

10/30/2009 - 1:39pm Penalty for not enough men on the line of scrimage

I heard once, that the determining factor on whether or not someone was on the line of scrimage was whether or not their helmut was lined up to cross the numbers on the uniform of the center. In this picture, it is hard to tell from the angle, but if it is that close to tell then a risk is being taken for being called off the line of scrimage.

The too many men on the field against Penn State should have been called. I was surprised that it wasn't.

08/21/2009 - 3:53pm Gardner's Team is going to have to play some real heavy weights

I don't know anything about the Michigan teams they play, but all 3 Ohio teams are top shelf. Stuebenville made it to the State finals. Div II. St. Ignatius won the state Div I. St. Edwards made the state playoffs and lost to St. Ignatius. Playing all 3 will be a real challenge. Playing all 3 on the road is just wrong!

08/10/2009 - 9:48am eSPiN article states

that Applachian St will not admit due to academic and other concerns.
