Publicity Stunt

It's all a big publicity stunt to placate the fans who are fuming (so much so they're planning a protest outside the entrance to the arena). Working under James Dolan is a no win situation. The Knicks would be better off if that Cowboy guy who owned the team in the movie "Eddie" with Whoopie Goldberg still owned the team.

Third year coach... 7-5 Third year coach... 7-5 season... Gator Bowl birth... Against a team from Mississippi?... Doesn't everyone die at the end of this movie?
You do realize our Sugar Bowl You do realize our Sugar Bowl bid came directly because of this flaw in the system...
Also that was not sarcasm. I Also that was not sarcasm. I agree with everything you said. Someone needs to get Stephen Ross on the phone as he's the man who really is calling the shots. The only thing that matters to DB is money and that it continues to flow in. The only people he'll listen to are his big donors and boosters.
This is the best and most This is the best and most astute comment I have ever seen on MGoBlog. You're 100% spot on. Kudos my friend.
Recruiting means nothing if Recruiting means nothing if you can't develop the players. Kyle Kalis is a five star lineman who was thought to be the next Long/Lewan/77 but he looks totally lost out there. See Ron Zook and Lane Kiffin. Just because you win the recruiting wars doesn't mean it'll translate into wins. It still takes good coaches and the jury is absolutely out on Hoke in that regard.
I don't think this is looking I don't think this is looking back and saying we should have kept him. I think it's pointing to the Michigan establishment of yokels who praise MANBALL as the only true way to play football and saying "you're wrong." I loved RR and had faith in him but the most devastating thing about his firing wasn't that he got fired. It's that our schematic thinking regressed and we abandoned all progress as far as innovation on the football field is concerned. We were trying to go back to the "good ole days" of three yards and a cloud of dust rather than saying how can we move forward. Say what you will about RR's lack of success at Michigan but he will succeed at Arizona. He'll probably win a Rose Bowl before us. And it will be much deserved egg in the face of all the haters who abandoned the program when he held the reins because they didn't like him personally or considered his innovative style of play witchcraft.
This Oregon team would have This Oregon team would have beaten all of those teams you mentioned. Notre Dame is still Notre Dame. Ohio State with a true freshman QB and no coach. Michigan State at home in a transitional year.
Haha. Our defense took it up Haha. Our defense took it up the ass a few times this year - including to Indiana. That doesn't mean I'm abandoning the system. All I'm saying is it's clearly working out in Tucson. They held the best offense in the country to 16 points.
The 3-3-5 is working In Arizona. Maybe the reason it didn't work in Michigan is the school didn't give RR any money to bring the DC he designed the defensive scheme with like Arizona did. RR is a great coach who was set up to fail by Michgan. I'm Very happy for him and would bet he wins a Rose Bowl before we do.
You're wrong He did convince Casteel to come. The problem was Michigan wouldn't fork over the cash to pay him. RR was not set up to succeed at Michigan. DB forked over cash to get Hoke a "solid" staff but we didn't do that for RR. Arizona did and now they're reaping the benefits. Zona is going to be a favorite to win their division next season if KaDeem Carey comes back.
Did you notice He beat Oregon today 42-16? That's a better win that we've had since firing him.
Tank 4 Teddy

The Teddy Bridgewater-Denard Robinson backfield tandem will be one for the ages. Go London Jaguars.
