money wasn't the reason RR

money wasn't the reason RR couldn't get Casteel to join him in Ann Arbor.  he stayed for his family.  i believe his daughter was going to be graduating high school within the next couple of years, and he didn't want to pack up and move so close to that.

this whole thing was stupid.

this whole thing was stupid.  stupid of the players to utilize such a ridiculous act in the first place.  it's one thing if both of your teams are good, and this is expected to be a close game.  but, when you're team is finding new and interesting ways to lose other bad teams week in and week out, do you really need to give the team that everyone expects to beat your face in any more of a reason to give you such a beating?  stupid of Hoke and his staff for once again exhibiting how little control they have over their players and their actions.  stupid of Dantonio to get pissy about it after his boys planted a flag in Notre Dame's turf a few years ago.  and stupid of Hoke again to come out like a sniffling baby by apologizing in such a way.  there is just too much dumb in this whole football season.

Yes, I believe you are.  He's

Yes, I believe you are.  He's a true freshman.  It's waaaaaaay to early to tell how he's going to turn out.  He's been adequate at best.  Which, for a true freshman left tackle, is still quite impressive, yes.  However, to call him the best lineman on the team is most certainly a stretch.  After Glasgow, everyone else is still pretty meh.  I'm also in the camp that thinks Miller shouldn't be playing too.  He seems to have a pretty good idea what he's supposed to do (which is good).  But, i do get a little tired of seeing him get doubled over backwards because he's just not as big or strong as the guys lining up across from him.  To me, the ideal line (with Mags healthy) would be to have Glasgow at center with Kalis at RG.

glad to know i'm not the only

glad to know i'm not the only person who sees this.

kudos to you, on that one.

kudos to you, on that one.  you win the internets today.

they gave him a few games at

they gave him a few games at it last year.  unfortunately, that same determination to take one to the house on kick returns overrode his decision making on punt returns.  he tried to return everything.  even if it meant ranging all the way across the field to catch one on the sideline.  there were several that he should've just let bounce out of bounds or let the coverage team down where it was, and he tried to return them anyway.  i remember a couple of them very nearly going terribly wrong.  that's why they pulled him off punts.

I'm 31 and I hate it.  Well,

I'm 31 and I hate it.  Well, to be fair, I hate those damn shutter shade looking numbers!  If it was just the normal home jersey with blue pants, I'd probably love them.  I'm kinda on the fence with the shoes.  Anyway, my father, who's 30+ years older than myself, loves them.  I don't think you're going to get a sure fire answer to what age groups like them vs which ones don't.  Those numbers though...smh

Can you be too hard on a guy

Can you be too hard on a guy who A) would repeatedly run the same play even after the defense had shown him that it wasn't going to happen, B) find a play that worked and immediately burn it to the ground by overusing it, and C) not understand the particular skill sets of the people he has playing for him, thus not utilizing them properly?

First Down:  Runs ball into

First Down:  Runs ball into stacked line for negative yardage.

Second Down:  Runs ball into stacked line for negative yardage.

Play action on third and nobody's falling for this, for incompletion/interception/QB gets mauled by defense.

It sounds like the problem

It sounds like the problem has been taken care of.  Things like this are almost always an issue of nutrition.  He is a high school athlete, afterall.  M's trainers and doctors on staff will continue the work his doctor started, and make sure he's on a proper diet for college football. He plays offense and defense in high school.  It's less likely he'll be doing that in college.  Which will make it easier to keep him hydrated during games as well.  This should be a non-issue.
