This was my biggest gripe of the game. Guaranteed 1st down to Isaac with no one guarding him he could potentially turn this into a 20+ yard play. But nope hold my beer let me hit this on existent window to Black.

Hey guys. Hockey newb here.

I root for the Red Wings during the playoff. I know of Dylan Larkin and that he is just "kind of having an okay rookie season". /s

I basically know enough about hockey to know the rules. Any veterans out there willing to give me some inside info on how this Michigan team is doing/who we are missing.

Thanks in advance!

02/05/2016 - 8:04pm I've said it all year. It all

I've said it all year. It all comes down to the center position / in the paint.

We can win this game if we shoot out of our freaking minds from the 3 position. Which is fun to watch and cheer for, but isn't reliable.

If MSU starts to get near doubling our points in the paint, it's a loss 100%.

Donnal can have a good game, but he isn't a big center type guy that can post up, get points in the paint, and even out the offensive/defensive rebounds as seen from a total Michigan rebounds vs MSU rebounds.

I think Michigan wins this game by 1 point only because it's at home. Doesn't matter if Levert plays or doesn't.

Edit: 3 position was meant to be, "3-point shooting"

01/17/2016 - 6:21pm We could have absolutely won

We could have absolutely won this game.

Playing soft. Weak presence in the middle. It's going to be a theme all year.

01/11/2016 - 6:30pm That's exactly my point. I'm

That's exactly my point. I'm fine with his scheme at the 1-4 positions but JB didn't shine until he landed a Mitch McGary. If he can just get get a center over 210 lbs (sarcasm) he would be in much better shape.

01/11/2016 - 4:14pm The future is bright boys.

The future is bright boys. Caris has been a consensus 1st round pick for awhile. I think there's an above 50/50 chance we beat Purdue with him.
However, we stayed in the game with a lot of very young guys. Yes it sucks that we lost a ton to the NBA early.
But we don't have the reputation of Kentucky to recruit 2 or 3+ NBA caliber players ever very year yet.
I think we have a good coaching staff and talented players.
BUT, our current staff needs to recognize our significant loss at center.
If Belien can just recruit NBA style centers I think his system would dominate in the NCAA.

01/09/2016 - 12:32pm Being a freshman isn't

Being a freshman isn't dependant on your age.

The count down starts as soon as you take your first class.

Those that forgoe college for a few years to either work, join the military or for whatever reason will have 5 eligible years to play collegiate sports from the very first day they set foot in a college classroom.

I believe this has been discussed here many times.

You do realize computers are only as good as the programmers that make them?

Programmers are humans...mostly.

01/01/2016 - 1:53am From a talent perspective I

From a talent perspective I can agree with you as I think ND defense 2012 is better than MSU this year.

However, from an over rated standpoint I think ND wins here.

ND won 5! of their regular season games by 7 points or less. Including OT wins over a 6-7 PITT team and a good 12-2 Stanford team. ND also got 5! gifted interceptions against us to win by a whopping single TD. ND at least went undefeated but was lucky as shit.

From an over rated standpoint, at least MSU lost to Nebraska so they showed chinks in their armor. MSU interestingly enough won 6 of their regular season (including BTC) games by 7 or less points.

MSU had to play an extra game in the conference championship, which ND didn't have to.

I hate both teams, and they were both highly over rated. My opinion is with ND as the worst offender.

01/01/2016 - 1:35am ND was probably more over

ND was probably more over rated.

At least MSU was #3 and had to try to win their way into the NC via a playoff.

ND was a "clear" top 2 team looking at the record alone. They got embarassed on a slightly larger stage as well.

MSU played a night game during NYE. I'd bet money the ratings were way higher for ND.

I kind of mixed perception and viewership into the over ratedness, but still think ND 2012 takes the cake.

01/01/2016 - 1:11am So Mike what's the first

So Mike what's the first thing you did in the new year?

Oh, I threatened to kill people and posted it on a public forum. I have a restaining order to not get within 1000 yards of the Alabama campus and I'm pending other legal charges. What about you Bob?

Shit Mike...I just enjoyed watching MSU lose..damn.

12/28/2015 - 5:49pm I'll be "that" guy.

Did Kennan Reynold's achieve a Division 1 record? Yup. Did he earn it? Yup.

However, I compare this to the all time Division 1 wins record by a QB. Held by Kellen Moore from Boise State!

Who "was" the previous record holder? Colt McCoy from Texas. I believe he lost it to Kellen Moore by 1 game.

Denard and Colt both played against much better competition. However, they are both 2nd in their respective categories.

I get it, there are 128? teams in D1 ball, but I love Denard and will always remember his records at Michigan.

Was his record beaten? Yes. Was his accomplishments topped? Nope.

11/24/2015 - 11:28am I don't think you're crazy. I

I don't think you're crazy. I think PSU has a good shot if MSU doesn't have Cook.

11/24/2015 - 11:21am I'd be surprised if OSU is

I'd be surprised if OSU is ranked below us. I'm predicting them at 9 or 10 and us at 10 or 11. I haven't seen many teams drop more than about 6 spots for a loss and they lost to a top 10 team on a last second field goal.

Holy crap I just realized you put OSU at 8. I'm going to click the reply button and not edit my statement so you all know how dumb I am.

11/23/2015 - 2:51pm The media took the chance to

The media took the chance to make this non issue a headline.

He's a heisman hopeful RB at a program that's lost 1 game in seasons. Elliott's outburst was ill advised but understandable.

I agree with Magnus that this is fun for Michigan fans to point and laugh. But it's really a non issue.

I really hope the media lays off of Elliott when he loses this week.

11/21/2015 - 8:56pm It's not a dream scenario.

It's not a dream scenario. But this would be an epic end to the season.

MSU beat OSU. Michigan took care of Penn State.

OSU...already reeling from a HOME loss, heads to Michigan and losses at around 330 pm.

MSU, knowing the outcome of the OSU/UM game. Knows they need to beat PSU to get to the championship game.

Penn State wins in East Lansing on several "Sparty NOOOO!" moments.

Michigan goes to the B1G championship game as MSU and OSU receive their second conference losses of the season.

The BEST chance of ANY asteroid hitting the Earth is in 2032 and it's a 1 in 63k chance.

The chance that it hits a specific point on the Earth on a specific day? Oh boy. That must be an astronomical number.

/shows himself out.

Edit: "Any asteroid" should read as "A catestrophic asteroid". My B.

11/21/2015 - 4:52pm The huge run play on Penn

The huge run play on Penn Sate's first drive and Peppers giving up a TD were the only 2 big plays I remember.

There might be more. But more importantly the goal line stands, and giving up field goals instead of TD's were huge for this game.

Overall not the best outting, but definetly a good outting for the D on the road against a team with NFL talent.

11/21/2015 - 4:47pm 12 point win on the road in

11/21/2015 - 4:27pm I think I've gotten used to

I think I've gotten used to bad announcing and just ignore it.

The only time I realy get fired up is when they give their opinions on certain penalty calls and I pretty much argue at the TV screen that they are wrong 90 percent of the time.

I'm kind of a crazy person.

11/21/2015 - 4:05pm I think this is over

I think this is over analysis.

As a recruit you get free shit from all the schools you visit, especially if you are a 5 star.

Remember Brionte Dunn? Yea he wore Michigan gear and went to Ohio State.

I think all top recruits rotate what they wear, because it's free, as long as it's a big time school.

I'm all for Kareem coming here, but this is just ridiculous...

Neg away, I want the negs. I'm just dropping truth.

11/21/2015 - 3:58pm I believe our coaching has

I believe our coaching has overcome the reffing calls in all our games except for 1.

That's good coaching. Franklin going into the half without even trying to score with 45 seconds in the 1st half I think was a big mistake.

I've been very happy with our coaching decisions. Hard not to be being 9-2 going into the last game of the regular season.

I think we can all agree Utah would have been a huge ask for the coaching staff to win in game 1. On the road. With a QB that wasn't here for the summer.

11/21/2015 - 3:54pm WIllie Henry gets double

WIllie Henry gets double teamed. He is basically just occupying 2 defernders as we sack the QB.

Defense holding on Henry. YUP.

Where can I apply as a ref? I'm all for getting paid good money to mess up at least 50 percent of the time and not get fired.

/Meteorologists don't coun't. As I don't want to be one.

/All refs are not this bad.

/Only refs against Michigan are bad which must be some crazy correlation.

/Maybe ony B1G refs that ref Michigan games?

/Insane

11/21/2015 - 3:49pm Michigan is now 0-6 on

Michigan is now 0-6 on targetting calls.

2-2 against.

0 for FUCKING 4 against us.

I'm sorry, let me be more specific. 0-4 against Rudock.

How can a QB who jumps in the air, and the defender STILL managers to hit helmet to helmet NOT be targetting? Oh, its Zettel and he's a senior and it's senior day. Got it.

I hate this thread. I hate the officiating. For the first time in my life, I believe the officiating is completly awful and it's not me being biased.

11/18/2015 - 9:32pm 30 - 24 Michigan.

30 - 24 Michigan.

11/15/2015 - 8:13pm Agreed. Their offense is

Agreed. Their offense is literally just Fournette.

Doesn't matter if the WRs are great or not with their QB.

11/15/2015 - 7:54pm It could just be wishful

It could just be wishful thinking. But if Glasgow can return for the bowl game. And assuming we can keep Fournette from running all over us, I think we would match up well against LSU.
