On BTN this morning they even called him out on it. Right after the video clip where he said BS, the BTN anchor said (paraphrasing) "nope, not BS, we just showed the video evidence".

10/14/2018 - 1:00pm You should just try standing…

You should just try standing. You have a ticket, there's no rule about needing to sit. Maybe try standing for the important defensive plays and ramp it up from there.

10/14/2018 - 12:36pm Hey, were you wearing a…

Hey, were you wearing a Labatt's hat last night? Now, we are not a family of shrinking violets (we're yelling, jumping up and down, pounding on the metal wall behind us), but the guy in a Labatt's hat a few rows in front of us really was bringing it last night. I suspect he may have enjoyed some Labatt's before the game.

They did really work hard to keep the crowd hyped up through all the media time outs, so kudos to the DJ, band and cheerleaders.

Ha! I thought "What does East Lansing 2015 have to do with this?"

The Center for Ultrafast Optical Science (CUOS) is where the initial work for Intralase was done, so all of you having all laser LASIK done can thank Prof Mourou for paving the way.

Mark Milia is at Beaumont in Ortho. Chris Hutchinson is at Beaumont, too, but in ER.

08/10/2018 - 7:18am Isn't there a way to get rid…

Isn't there a way to get rid of the soap opera effect? We bought an LED for our basement workout area and my husband was able to google the directions on how to get rid of that. Now it looks great (for a workout room TV).

06/15/2018 - 4:04pm Sounds like you haven't had…

Sounds like you haven't had the trouble with weather related outages that we have had. We did do the threaten to cancel bit several times, but when they added the Scientology channel, it was too much for us. We didn't want to pay for that stuff. We didn't watch 90% of the channels anyway. YouTube TV is a significant savings.

06/15/2018 - 3:56pm We just got rid of Directv…

We just got rid of Directv after 18 years with it. We didn't have any problem with speed or anything like that, but most times it rained heavily or had heavy snow, we would lose signal. It has happened during Michigan games, so that is a bummer. Just switched to YouTube TV because it has good sports selection and we won't miss any of our sportsball.

10/23/2017 - 1:21pm Pillow dropping

My kids would love it when we would drop pillows on them. We would stand up high and drop pillows over and over. They loved it!

09/25/2017 - 1:56pm Yes

It is literally across the hall from the M locker room. It's not fancy, but it's functional.

09/25/2017 - 8:28am Broken rib?!

Shit, I can't believe he has a broken rib and a ruptured spleen! /s

09/21/2017 - 3:55pm Dead coach walking

I thought that coach would be gone once the dreaded "statement of support" came from the AD. Surprised AD went first.

09/21/2017 - 3:52pm Heard in Iowa

What's the N on the helmet for?

It's an oldy but goody.

09/18/2017 - 10:40am Also, Allen Creek

Allen creek, which drains into the Huron River, was diverted underground and runs under the Pioneer Parking lot. Here is an article about it:…

The water issue is real.

09/18/2017 - 10:33am Soil

Iowa is farmland and has much better soil. We are sitting on clay in most of A2.

09/12/2017 - 3:51pm Dumping Washington?

Who does Warde want instead? I was actually looking forward to going to Seattle for that game. Cool stadium on the water.

09/11/2017 - 6:25pm I agree

Women are much harder on each other than men are on women. It's a lot of "Oh, you don't know how hard I had it - don't be a baby about it".

09/11/2017 - 6:24pm You're probably right

I definitely have it better than women in Pakistan and  a lot of other places, too. I wasn't complaining, I was stating facts that have happened in my life. There's a difference. I am actually pretty happy and can deal with it quite well.

09/11/2017 - 10:41am There you go!

Mansplaining to me that there is sexism! What you don't realize is that those things are actually very real and have existed for a long time, they are just getting a name and attention now. Duh, I know there is sexism, I live it, you don't have to tell me that it exists. It totally exists for dudes, too - just ask the stay at home dads or the husbands who cook and clean primarily.

09/11/2017 - 9:25am Absolutely!

Do it better than them, kick 'em in the teeth! I like to do it with a smile. ;-)

09/11/2017 - 8:26am Everywhere

Misogyny is everywhere. I have experienced it at every time in my life. It's like Harbaugh told the players (about the acute emotions of the game)- you need to be dead to it. You just need to hold your head up and be the better person. I went to engineering school (male dominated), graduate school (male dominated) and work in a male dominated field. Just be better and don't dwell on it.

Here are some examples: From anatomy professor "What's the largest vein in a woman's mouth? The deep dorsal vein of the penis!". I have been told to stand with my nose in a corner in surgery, for the duration of the surgery. I have been told that my answers are wrong, but when the men give the same answer, somehow it is correct. When I bring my car to the mechanic, no one believes the problem - when my husband brings it, somehow it gets fixed.

The best thing is just to teach our kids to be above this and not make assumptions about others skills/knowledge/ability. My boys know I am smart and capable, so I demonstrate to them that I can be above it and the people making assumptions are wrong and not make the same mistakes themselves.

Of course, I told my husband that I was going to post this and he said "I'm too busy watching Miss America to listen." Lol.

09/09/2017 - 6:19pm We cheered a lot, too

So, we were at the game and there was some booing (not by me). But there was a robust round of "bullshit" at the refs and the crowd went insane when Gary flattened the QB after the near targeting call - it was really loud. We were so loud that the lady behind us asked us to quiet down. When the offense was flat, the fans were flat, but we perked up at appropriate spots. And the refs were bullshit.

09/02/2017 - 7:02pm Safety

We could take a safety.

09/02/2017 - 7:00pm Ok

What is up with the sideline commentator's hair? It looks terrible. It's so bad it's distracting me from Speight!

12/09/2016 - 3:07pm Hockey

I have seen and heard cowbell at hockey.

12/09/2016 - 1:36pm There is a scholarship fund for this

The Athletic Department has a fund for this, so kids who go to pursue athletics can come back and finish. I am assuming it is for kids who don't make a bajillion dollars in the pros.

12/09/2016 - 1:32pm How do you get the cowbell in?

My husband and I were just talking about this last night - when we wear coats it wouldn't be a problem but at a lot of games this year it was just shorts and t-shirts. Where would we hide it? We are seriously considering buying a cowbell for xmas.

11/18/2016 - 12:19pm Nail biter

Sadly I think this will be a nail biter 14-12 M pulls out the W

10/28/2016 - 12:19pm 64-6

Yes, we will get 9 touchdowns, with one 2 pt conversion. Money goes to Food Gatherers

10/21/2016 - 10:59am 66-6

MIchigan 66 Illinois 6

Food Gatherers

09/07/2016 - 9:06pm Well

Ticket prices are really high on StubHub right now. I just sold 4 for PSU for $140 each (section 6, so not 50 yard line or anything fancy). I don't know if prices will go down or not, Michigan fans are crazy and as we keep winning the prices may go up.

07/16/2016 - 2:14pm I have some available

I have 10 tickets in section 1, rows 37,38 that I need to part with. Fair market value. Email me at maizemama1 at gmail.

12/18/2015 - 3:14pm Zamboni riders

Zamboni riders get a really stern talking to about throwing things on the ice. Both my kids have ridden the zamboni at intermission (back when allowed to wear shoes) and the people in charge of the ride and the drivers talk to the kids a lot about not listening to the students, don't throw anything, etc... So if your child really listens to authority figures, they will get a good talking to beforehand and they may be scared to throw anything. I told my kids not to throw the shoe, because if it got ruined, we would have to carry said child back to the car parked far away.

12/12/2015 - 8:36am Quick question

Would this be appropriate reading (ie, no swearing or sex) for a 13 year old who isn't allowed to read about swearing or sex. Trying to come up with a gift for a nephew who is crazy about Michigan.

11/18/2015 - 7:04pm 25

25-17 Michigan

08/11/2015 - 6:20pm Can't get it in the suites or club

Of course people sneak it in there, but it's not sold there. Remember for the Winter Classic and the Man U game, the legislature had to approve liquor sales.

08/09/2015 - 5:23pm You can use StubHub

I have sold my extras on Stub Hub this year and they have added a new feature in the pricing section; now when you click the help me price button it shows you the low, the mean and the high price for your section. I found that very useful and proceed most of my tickets around the mean and have sold them quickly. You don't actually have to list them on Stub Hub, but the pricing info is good to have.

08/06/2015 - 2:52pm I was there as well

And there was nothing earth shattering in what they said. Harbaugh did say he is as excited as if he was just being born. He also said they are going to be very quiet during training camp "like we are on a submarine" and to not be worried if we aren't hearing anything.

There were no donor kebabs, just chicken, mac n cheese and hot dogs.

08/06/2015 - 6:53am You have to be registered

You have to sign the kids up, register and bring your confirmation email with you. So, if you're a single adult, I doubt you'll be allowed in. They are really clamping down: 1 item per person, no photos with athletes (slows the lines down).

08/03/2015 - 1:17pm See the ticket spreadsheet

There are many people, myself included, selling their tickets on the mgoblog ticket spreadsheet. Hopefully we are a trustworthy bunch.

08/02/2015 - 4:02pm Lemony Snicket

The Lemony Snicket series, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is good. My kids also enjoyed The World According to Humphrey series, about a classroom hamster that solves all the problems of his classroom kids in hamsterish ways.

07/23/2015 - 7:00am Also

I forgot about Kensington Metropark, which is right off the 23/96 interchange, so about 25 minutes north of A2. There are beaches, boat rentals and a farm center, but no life guards. I have only been there for non swimming activities, but it is nice. We really went to Independence Lake for beach time, when we needed a quick local beach day.

07/23/2015 - 6:39am Independence Lake

My kids always liked Independence Lake, which is about 20-25 min northwest of A2. It is part of the Washtenaw County park system. There is a beach area with a life guard and a separate splash park area with water slides. It's not the nice west Michigan sand, but it's sand and there is a nice shallow swimming area. There is a picnic area that is shaded as well. I think there are beaches at the Brighton State Recreation Area, which is slightly farther north and part of the State Park system.
