*sigh*

after Ohio going .500 for the year, being due for a 1 year bowl suspension and all the negative publicity, they still pull out a top recruiting class.  this just really sticks in my craw...

are you guys all being sarcastic?

am I the only one that read that and was turned off by Beamer's constant bitching about field positions and then the comments about fluke plays?  it's not MSU crying, but not classy either.

Logan Thomas does seem like a class act - and the kid can play.  Hats off to him.

true for SEC v B1G maybe

But I don't really care a ton about the B1G, as much as I do about Michigan at least.  At the beginning of the article, every time the author said "Look at..." budgets, coaching salaries, crowds, talent - I felt like M stacks up just fine.  So while I would agree that the SEC dominates other conferences, I think M should be fine so long as we dominate the B1G, which we should.  The oversigning and JUCO thing is much more clearly a problem for us specifically, but that could change.

Either way, I don't want to ride the conference's coattails.  They ought to ride ours.

I know you want Alabama to

I know you want Alabama to get crushed because it makes the BCS look stupid and all, but I'd actually like to see Alabama win and OK St beat Stanford convincingly - then let chaos reign down on the BCS.  Who's #1 in the AP after that?  That'd be a much bigger end of season clusterf*ck than we've had before...

CBS reports Alabama is in

They could be guessing for all it matters now, but apparently claim a source tipped them off  a full hours ahead of the broadcast...

You seem like a nice enough

You seem like a nice enough guy and certainly an exception to the masses of MSU football fans (and players).  However, that's entirely inconsistent with your statements of being extremely proud of the team.  I'd rather have a losing season and do it with class than a winning season without it.  Your players are a bunch of classless, thugs whose actions on the field and off it are despicable, up to and include Cousins whining about not going to a BCS bowl.  I guess MSU players can win AND lose without class.

CBS projections

have us 12th.  TCU is 18th and so ineligible.

also, Alabama is still projected 2nd.

all this plus...

since Penn St has knocked OSU from the front page (not that it was really still, or even, getting as much attention as it should), it kind of makes it more plausible that Meyer could slide into the OSU job.  agree with the above that he probably won't take either, but it's more likely in my mind than before the Penn St scandal.

I agree

If not the 2 minute offense, at least something to keep the defense from getting a chance to setup.  IIRC we ran the no huddle very effectively last year.  It's one thing to put Denard under center and try to make him a pro style QB while saying you still encourage him to run when the opportunity presents itself.  It's another thing entirely to ignore the fact that tempo is at least a modest part of what made the offense successful last year.

And enough with all the trickeration and putting in Devin Gardner.  Just enough already.

soundtrack

Not casting related, but maybe Josh Groban could do the soundtrack?
