This wasdefinitely frustrating to see, and moreso because there were lots of similar opportunities last year. This is one area where experience would seem to be the biggest factor. Once the game "slows down" for him, this will make him even more lethal.
DB has made, especially at the announcement, I wouldn't be surprised if he (or one of his assistants) does occasionally visit sites such as this to get free "customer feedback". It's not uncommon for companies to do this, and DB often touts his business background. Just saying.
If RR goes, I'll have two blogs to follow...this one and the one for wherever he ends up coaching at. And here I thought MgoBlog was already consuming so much of my time, wait until then.
the "RR doesn't understand the rivalries" and "RR isn't a Michigan Man" bits. Criticize him on the defense or special teams, fine. But these types of posts really make me question the Michigan Fan.
Surprised no one's posted it yet, so I'll carry the torch and continue this week's theme - HARD EDGE! The excitement switch is now officially set to ON.
Like to replace that win with a signature win this weekend, followed by a bigger signature win next weekend! However, that '08 win over Wisc will always be special because it was my Dad's first (and only one so far) M football game at the stadium. He had a great time. I, on the other hand, experienced several more games that year and was grateful he wasn't with me for those.
The play I'm going to pay special attention to this year is the end-of-game handshake. However, RR seems too classy of a guy and will probably just run the standard play.
Totally agree with your first sentence. Take a pick on the many reasons, but I think that one alone with have the team playing with a payback focus. No letdown this weekend.
Agreed. With the bowl eligibility monkey off their backs, I think they will be more relaxed, and play with the fun attitude we saw at the start of the season.
There were several times towards the end of the game that I was thinking (hoping) how awesome it would be for our defense to make a huge play to win the game. Wow, no disappointment here!
Yeah, like the ILL players, I was was already thinking about the next play! That play exemplifies the team's attitude in the game...don't give up...don't ever give up.

Thanks, brother! Logging out now and going back to obscurity.
Logged in just to upvote you, but I don't know how to do that or maybe even have enough points or whatever. Born in '96? Awesome.

Happy Birthday, Wardogs. Former 0802. Semper Fi.
what I stated earlier then, they are NOT an above average team as the OP noted.
here, but SDSU is NOT an above average team, at least not today.
Pat Forde? Never heard of him.
but laugh every time I see "brah".
Soon enough my friends, he will live and die by his sword (words).

I'm watching it on http://www.firstrowsports.eu
sorry about, man.
and I hope he lands another HC gig soon so I can have a second team to follow this fall. Thanks for asking.

What's this F5 key that you speak of?
Says DB and RR will be meeting at DB's home today. If RR hasn't been fired yet, DB's home doesn't seem like the best setting for firing an employee.
I look forward to having a second college football team to root for and you will always be a Michigan Man in my mind.
I'd prefer to give the sidekick a side kick.

Uh, what were we talking about? Oh yeah...
I read further down thinking that at some point, you would clue all us idiots in. Well? Well?
EDIT: Directed at yossarians
RR is a Michigan Man in my book. Should he get forced out, I will definitely be pulling for him wherever he lands.
Holy MGoPoints batman!
I don't know. I'll have to review this with my legal staff for constitutionality.
RR is pretty intense during the games.
Who is this Herb Kirkstreit? Never heard of him.

Re-read your subject title. Your comments look like a bunch of opinions and assumptions to me.
Yes, Modelo. Negra for me.

Good to see some fellow former Marines on here. A late Happy Birthday to all. Semper Fi!

A gut feeling from Sam Webb would make me a little more confident :)
Having read this, I sure miss Martavious Odoms and his blocking.

Everytime I hear/see that Boiler Up bs, I nearly throw up in my mouth.

It was pretty motivating seeing him run out with the team at Happy Valley last week as well.
Agree with your sentiment. Count me in as part of the "us" in "us against the world". Go Blue!
