04/28/2010 - 2:19pm LOL!

This should be the new MGoBlog banner!

04/28/2010 - 12:20pm Polamalu playing safety for Michigan...

sure has a nice ring to it.

04/27/2010 - 11:52am Please...

tell me that "someone" was not a recruit, or current athlete....

Please?

04/27/2010 - 10:34am Dang.

In that first picture...the scoreboards DO look a bit small. Never really paid too much attention to it before.

04/27/2010 - 9:58am That's interesting.

But why didn't they include that in the current construction?

I'd rather they did it all at once, and got it out of the way.

04/19/2010 - 4:18pm FYI: I didn't neg you.

A) Agreed
B) I'm missing something here....*
C) Agreed

*Cox only had 13 rushes last year.

2 against EMU, and 11 against DSU. He had 13 rushes for a total of 113 yards (and one of those was a 57 yarder) against two of the worst teams on our schedule.

V. Smith had 48 carries for 276 yards.

If we take out the DSU game we are only left with 2 carries for Mike Cox against WMU. That's it.

I guess I just don't see a case for Cox being so much more impressive last year.

04/19/2010 - 3:52pm Just curious...

Why do you insist on taking out his carries against DSU?

It's not like the other backs didn't have carries in that game.

04/19/2010 - 2:52pm Why wait?

04/15/2010 - 12:06pm Let me get this straight....

if Rodriguez gets fired and let's say we bring in Mike Leach to coach next year....Leach should continue to run Rodriguez's offense, and not install his own?

Got it.

04/14/2010 - 11:29am I thought...

the same thing.

04/13/2010 - 11:26am I liked the part where he talked about how...

Paul Johnson went to Georgia Tech, and looked at the players he had, and then decided what system he would run. That was cool.

And when he talked about how June Jones went to SMU, and looked at the players he had returning, and then decided what offense he would install. That was cool too.

04/12/2010 - 12:01pm Great article...

On a related note, 3 time Rose Bowler Marc Milia also became a surgeon: http://www.miortho.com/drmilia.htm

03/24/2010 - 3:43pm This thread should remove all doubt...

crack use is still rampant.

Apparently, the only thing that determines what is "better" is the last game.

Other things according to Magnus: Appalachian State now has a better football program than Michigan, Northern Iowa's basketball program is now "better" than Kansas, the US Soccer Team is now "better" than Spain, and Oregon State's Football program is now "better" than USC.

03/16/2010 - 12:02pm Apologies like this are necessary...

but worthless.

He's already exposed his "little bias" to the whole world.

03/05/2010 - 3:23pm Two words:

Sample. Size.

03/04/2010 - 9:27am ...yet he has Cincy

on his short list....

LOL!

02/26/2010 - 3:09pm "Get a grip.

Sincerely,

Magnus"

02/26/2010 - 3:06pm "Trench Warrior Hats"....

Does this mean that Nebraska (the "Black Shirts" defense!!!) should be looking at MAJOR VIOLATIONS??

02/16/2010 - 2:14pm That sux.
02/16/2010 - 12:27pm !

02/16/2010 - 11:56am Brian...

whatever became of your "USA soccer blog" idea???

02/08/2010 - 4:11pm I find the title of

this UV quite "cheeky" indeed.

02/02/2010 - 12:16pm That new Spartan logo....

is 100% pure Colombian awesome.

01/23/2010 - 1:40pm Uh oh...

looks like you've contracted a severe case of chitownblue.

01/19/2010 - 10:15am I think he's actually....

Fijian.

Not that I watched it as a kid or anything...

01/18/2010 - 3:24pm Easy...

Phase 3 = Profit

01/18/2010 - 10:30am The tone of that article

makes it sound as if they will definitely NOT be playing at the Joe next year, which is kind of surprising.

Honestly though, I was more shocked to read that PS&E wants a new arena built before 2020. By all accounts, the Palace seems to be in great shape...

01/14/2010 - 12:39pm Don't be a simpleton.

What if during the recruiting process they were told they would be put in contact with someone who "would hook them up"?

That would make more sense than having the coach actually purchase a car for them, wouldn't it?

01/14/2010 - 12:35pm I'm still trying...

to figure out why you've spent this entire post defending USC?

How hard is it to figure out that all anyone is saying is: if the allegations are true, then there should be severe punishment handed down? How do you turn this into a problem with Michigan fans? We didn't create the problem at USC.

When an issue like "practice gate" is brought up, you're quick to jump on the "Michigan MUST be doing SOMETHING wrong", and "where there's smoke, there's fire!" trains. Anyone that doesn't think Michigan doesn't cheat has their head in the sand, right? Typical homer MGoSlappies. Eveyone does it. We're no different than OSU, USC, etc.

Yet, when the shoe is on the other foot, and USC is being deluged with allegations, you switch over to the "where are your facts?", "we cheat too", and "innocent until proven guilty!" camps.

I know you don't like most of your fellow posters, and I'm sure you feel like you bring some sort of non-homer balance to the board, but...I just don't get your schtick.

01/08/2010 - 4:12pm Sanctions...

speak louder than words.

01/04/2010 - 11:29am I believe...

the player was Lynden Trail.

He was trying to say that he didn't weigh enough yet, and so he wasn't sure how much he would contribute until he bulked up.

Also, Brennan Clay looked pretty good...Grimes was hardly mentioned.

08/31/2009 - 4:05pm You're giving chi way

too much credit.

He was trying to find a nice way to say: "I disagree with TOB, and I won't read that shit".

07/27/2009 - 4:43pm Exactly.

He is PERFECT for Sparty.

07/27/2009 - 4:30pm Let me help you.

He is NOT a comedian.

07/20/2009 - 3:31pm This post is chock full of FAIL.

How many negative points can I give you?

07/06/2009 - 2:43pm Awesome.

I want to buy this shirt NOW already.

06/30/2009 - 2:24pm Veeeeeerrrrry

interesting.

05/22/2009 - 10:25am I propose that it gets

set up like the Black Shirts at Nebraska...you should have to EARN the right to wear one of those bad boys.

04/16/2009 - 5:24pm LMAO

"I am so proud of you m***** f***ing c***suckers!...Here! Here!"

04/16/2009 - 5:18pm That was hilarious.

was that Edgerrin James at :26?

04/15/2009 - 5:32pm Piped in music....

and it will still give you chills:

03/09/2009 - 9:08pm Damn.

I thought it said "unicorns".

03/09/2009 - 9:07pm We actually toyed with a Maize field way back when....

but then some MSU students came in and harvested it.

02/27/2009 - 4:09pm I have to echo KRK.

That was a good job all around.

And I didn't realize until I just read those articles that the team that missed the free throws was actually the losing team. I was under the impression before that it was the winning team that did it.

02/21/2009 - 3:09pm As usual chi, you missed his point....

I have to agree with MGoEOD.

I think you're attempt to be so objective tends to cloud your rational mind sometimes.

You don't expect people to just look at Steven Threet's numbers, and just make an assessment based purely off of those statistical numbers this year. So why should people do that with Pryor?

Your defense of Threet (correctly) takes into account many other factors such as: poor line play, lack of a rushing attack, lack of a credible down field threat, wrong fit for this type of offense, a defense that could not stop the other team from scoring, etc.

Pryor didn't have these issues. He had a fantastic defense that didn't force him have to play catch-up (which would in turn force him to have to throw the ball when the defense knows it's coming). As a matter of fact, the only game in which he was required to throw the ball more than 20 times (PSU)...they lost. He also had an outstanding running back which opposing defenses were forced to have to honor. Obviously, it should be easier to throw the ball against a defense geared to stop the run. On top of that, he only averaged just over 12 attempts per game.

You have to take everything in context. Stats only tell part of the story.

For example, some people might say the OSU qb's couldn't have been very good this year because the OSU passing offense was only ranked 105 out of 119 teams. Heck, Michigan's passing offense was anemic, yet we aren't rated much lower than OSU's. Does that mean that OSU's passing offense OMG! SUCKED this year? Does it mean that every team ranked above them truly had a better passing offense? Of course not. This ranking only tells part of the story, just like Pryor's stats only tell part of the story.

Obviously, Pryor didn't SUCK this year. He played decent. IMO, he was not outstanding, and didn't play as well as the number one rated player (mind you, he's coming to a team that is already a perennial BCS contender) should have. I disagree with Sommy. I don't think he's a GREAT passer. That's all.

I'm not sure why you are so defensive of a player that plays for our most hated rival. You should feel unique though because I doubt there are very many Buckeye fans on the OSU boards right now trying to defend Threet's numbers from last year.

This isn't sour grapes on my part. I wish he would have come to Michigan, and I don't hate him for going to OSU. I mean, sure you'll get people that are like: "Fuck him! He's a Buckeye! He sucks!", but so what? Obviously, that's just plain stupidity, and every fan base has idiots like that. Why do you feel so compelled to stick up for Pryor?

And no, I don't look forward to watching him RUN all over us for the next three years. And yes, I wish we had him on our side. But when people question his passing ability, I don't think it's ludicrous. Heck, the one knock that he had coming out of high school was his passing...NO ONE questioned his athleticism.

I won't even get into the Tate Forcier argument with you. I have an idea how well he will do next year, and needless to say, you don't share those views.

As for the DR. Saturday article. It is completely irrelevant. It has ZERO bearing on how either of our freshman qb's would do this year. None.

02/17/2009 - 9:21am You are correct:

02/16/2009 - 10:00pm Thank you.

I just wasted an hour of my life reading through those.

02/14/2009 - 9:32am Are you

insinuating that RR never had a grace period here??!!!

Anyway, it looks like Kiffer may be in a little over his head.

02/07/2009 - 9:44am GI Joe!
