The lack of response from alumni and students is surprisingly sad. It seems at least the faculty senate has been involved. They have pushed for the creation of a university board to give the faculty and students more say in the choice of president and an expansion of the current board to the same aim.

That followed the a no confidence vote and asking formally asking the board to step down. It is sad to see that the faculty senate has so little sway.

Caught me before I could correct it. Thanks.

06/22/2018 - 1:11pm Sorry, neither is running…

Sorry, neither is running for reelection. How can we get rid of the other 6 or at least the other 4 propping up Engler?

06/22/2018 - 1:07pm  Brian Breslin and Mitch…

Brian Breslin and Mitch Lyons are up for reelection this year. I will lose faith in Michigan voters if either one is reelected.

That only works if you know when the last turn is. This game seems like it may have an infinite horizon.

Am I the only one who thought "Swim at your own risk" was going to be a reference to our new wide receivers' coach?

04/20/2018 - 2:19pm MAAR is the type of player

MAAR is the type of player that makes you feel good that Michigan is your team. On a team of likable players, he was my favorite.

But I want to believe now!

03/02/2018 - 2:35pm You've made it!

Hey Brain, You've made it! Your mere musings motivate someone to invest time testing your thoughts. What else do you want to know?

01/10/2018 - 4:40pm Missing something?

I was surprised by the Washington hire. Do we need to bring in another defensive coach? The defense seemed to be doing pretty well.

12/05/2017 - 4:36pm Fold championships into 16-team Playoff

I totally thought you were arguing for folding the conference championships into the first round of the playoffs. I think that is an awesome idea. There is then 6 at large spots, which should cover the UCFs of the year.

10/19/2017 - 2:52pm Safeties up close?

If their safeties are going to play up close, hit them with play action to the Gentry up the seam. In general this seems like a good game to have the TEs be the first read.

10/19/2017 - 2:26pm Just me?

Is it just me or does the defensive staff just give far better interviews than the offensive staff? Even last year when the offense was doing much better, it still seemed that the defensive coaches are much more willing to give answer questions and give information rather than just coachspeak. I even appreciated Zordich's preseason doom talk. At least he was being honest about where he saw the guys relative to where he thought they could be.

10/11/2017 - 12:41pm Rough week

Thanks for posting this and enduring the MSU film. I appreciate you bringing your sensabilities to writing about USMNT as well. Despite the pain, I think the MSU UFR will shed some light on this team.

09/27/2017 - 2:25pm win with cruelty

Win with cruelty. So much carnage.

09/21/2017 - 1:06pm Much appreciated read.

Thank you, kind sir.

09/19/2017 - 5:40pm Winovich's and the guard

The play where Winovish pops the pulling guard into the Qb was an incredible play. Definitely would have been my selection for OFAAT.

09/19/2017 - 5:21pm Thank you!

09/14/2017 - 4:10pm ah, the sweet nectar of the UFR

It does the soul good on a Thursday afternoon. Also, Moore's head dropping back to the turf after Gary obliterates him off the edge

09/06/2017 - 3:51pm The real highlight

is #4 getting the Metelllus treatment, the Marshall treatment, and then tantrum.

09/05/2017 - 4:46pm beat me to it

I didn't see this when I started typing. I'm a slow typist.

09/05/2017 - 4:45pm I could watch that all day

I love gary collapsing the pocket while receiving a triple team

08/30/2017 - 3:42pm Minnesota game

How does this article not lead with Hurst winning us the Minnesota game? That performance was incredible.

08/15/2017 - 2:47pm Love this scene. An all time

Love this scene. An all time great. Also Loving vs. Virginia should tell us that Virginia is not for lovers.

08/11/2017 - 7:32pm sit him through probation

Reading the victim's statement, I would have felt better, if he was unable play until he had completed probation. Still, I acknowledge that I have less information than those making these decisions. Hopefully their decision is based on that information and not simply on the interests of the football team.

07/13/2017 - 4:33pm Mini Draftaggedon

Nobody who complains about draftaggedon better reply to this post. Otherwise, it is just jealousy that fuels their annimosity.

My 5:

Saquan Barkley RB PSU is a solid choice. I like our stable at RB, but he is on another level. He also moves the PSU game comfortably into the W column. There's no need to get anyone else from PSU.

Jamarco Jones LT OSU sures up a glaring hole at tackle and weakens our main rival.

Denzel Ward CB OSU Gives us some experience in an area where that is desparately lacking. There is huge value to a lock down corner, especially one who takes playing time from two first round picks. Also hurts our main rival.

Troy Fumagalli TE UW After losing two awesome TEs (not to mention our top two receivers) we could use a sure bet here in the Harboffense. It also potentially would move the needle enough in this toss up game.

For the last spot, going for pain by taking Barret is tempting, as is getting more depth at DT. I think that upgrading the OL with Price and taking 2 of 5 OSU starters would be optimal though.

Man, this just upped the anxiety over the real OSU game. Thanks OP.

07/08/2017 - 1:27am Brown, Cohen, Lassiter, Williams, Charles, Gibbard, Anderson

For lecture, Matt Lassiter (AmCulture), Ralph Williams (Literature), and Kerwin Charles (Econ) were definitely peak performers. Content wise, Elizabeth Anderson (Philosophy), Alan Gibbard (Philosophy), Carl Cohen (Philosophy), and Charlie Brown (Econ) were incredibly thought provoking and insightful.

07/03/2017 - 4:03pm More selective

I think a case could be made that jail is more selective on who it admits.

07/03/2017 - 4:01pm Amazing!

Love this!

06/20/2017 - 12:43pm On Rashan

"Best I've ever seen." You have to be excited about that.

03/17/2017 - 3:57pm no. no. no. okay

Not only that, Irvin and Walton both had to hit contested J's to maintain the lead at the end. We had a few bad decision shots drop that I didn't expect.

01/09/2017 - 6:39pm as did TJ and Jay

As did Wheatley and Jay. I assume Pep and Drevno will have much more say though.

01/06/2017 - 2:58pm the other cost: lower away team attendance

The other cost is lower fan attendance for away teams in the weeks without a predetermined opponant. Still, I'd take that and moving the game in order to have more legitimate conference champions.

11/07/2016 - 4:24pm Replace PSU

Thank you. Great post.

Even if you replace PSU (given their depleted defense) with our 4th highest ranked defensive opponent, you get UCF (ranked 21). We hung 51 on them (3 were field goals) and 447 yards.
