How does this compare to…

How does this compare to Iowa last year? Not sure I'd call 27-14 a dismantling, but 45-7 certainly is.

This is a minor quip, but…

This is a minor quip, but can we start a petition to get rid of the road all white uniforms? Why did we decide to get rid of the iconic road uniform with yellow pants? The all whites look like pajamas, not to mention the fact that by the end of the season half of the winged helmet is covered in ugly helmet stickers.

does Harbaugh not realize that the look is atrocious? not to mention the fact that we are 0-10 in big games wearing them.

aww, did harbaugh not get…

aww, did harbaugh not get you your shiny trophy, for your own personal gratification?

how bout you go cry, oh wait, you already are.

the only disappointment here…

the only disappointment here is you. I am very disappointed in you for not doing better....in life, just in general.

YOU should have tried harder in lifethen maybe you wouldn't be, well, you.

Fire harbaugh then hire some…

Fire harbaugh then hire some hoke-like guy who tanks the program. You a are certified dimwit who wants immediate personal gratification. If we aren't on alabama or osu's level then FIRE HARBAUGH

Bingo. The ones you cannot…

Bingo. The ones who cannot see that this Michigan team has the potential to beat OSU, are the little kids among the fanbase. The adults know that they played one heck of a game and fought back last night, against a top 10 team in perhaps the most hostile environment in cfb.

We still have the silver platter of rival trio visiting Ann Arbor: Notre Dame, MSU, OSU. A sweep of those 3 would be much more meaningful than the indianapolis joke of a championship, where we have to play the fighting PJs.

Reading through some of the…

Reading through some of the comments here and seeing all the things along the lines of "but I want it noooooooow", "I wanna shiny trophy nooow!!!"

I call this the Alabama/osu effect. Anything that is not along the lines of complete domination and the season is a wash or a rebuilding year.

Penn State was ranked 7th, undefeated, and the decibel level in that place was probably well over 110. The ACTUAL  'narrative' is this: Michigan dug a 21 point hole early but fought back, and was a dropped touchdown away from tying the game.

Michigan held PSU to their lowest yard total of the season, and out gained them by 140 yards. Most importantly they showed amazing resiliency against a top 10 defense in an environment like that.

What the whiners want is immediate gratification, the "NO MORAL VICTORIES" mindset is the exact reason why you love to hate watching michigan. We are not OSU, but Harbaugh has still put together a team nearly every season that is to be reckoned with. If you want to fire him because he didn't give you your own personal satisfaction and a nice shiny trophy, then thats fine, but just realize you sound like a 4 year old throwing a fit.

The worst takes are the …

The worst takes are the 'This team is mentally weak...can't finish the job' crap. MSU is better than Michigan, but by a razor thin margin. They were unanimously picked to finish 1st in the bigten and michigan was picked 5th, and then ended up a #2 seed. No one on that team is 'mentally weak', Michigan has the capability to make a final four but are not quite good enough to win it all this year. Next years however...all starters except matthews (who is a liability) are back. RIP to anyone who crosses their path.

matthews best play
was when

matthews best play

was when the psu guy threw the ball off him to avoid out of bounds but it deflected back and hit him

matthews had 0 points and 3

matthews had 0 points and 3 turnovers. fortanutely we were good enough to overcome that, but theres no question poole is better

its time tohave poole replace

its time to have poole replace matthews and duncan replace livers as a starter. matthews has shriveled. he needs to contribute, but coming off the bench.

matthews is a complete mess.

dont act shocked, matthews is

dont act shocked, matthews is a turnover machine who cant shoot and is 50% from the line. simpson has no jump shot and is equally bad at FTs. thats why this team sucks.

from a logical standpoint, an offense that uses deception (read option) is harder to defend than a team that lets the opponent stack the box with 9 defenders, all of whom know what is coming, and proceed to run into that mob and get 2 yards.

Jim Chaney (Georgia's OC) is a well known spread guru. Fromm isn't as mobile but they still run the spread.

If you think that all we need is a new clueless moron to run the same offense instead of drevno, then youre going to be in the same spot a year from now scratching your head about why our offense sucks so bad.

Clemson runs the spread

Ohio State runs the sprad

If you think OSU and PSU are 'power teams' then you really do not understand the difference.

i meant 2010, his last year.

i meant 2010, his last year. we averaged 490 yards a game with half the talent or 42 seniors jimmy had in 2016. Harbaugh averaged 395 in 2015 and 425 yds in 2016.

oklahoma and georgia are both spread teams

harbaugh will be 0-4 against

harbaugh will be 0-4 against the buckeyes, due to insisting on running an offense that doesn't work. it has never been explosive in his 3 years here. the defense is what has kept his tenure from being a rich rod level disaster.

drevno is an expert at the

drevno is an expert at the power offense, he has been running it with harbaugh since 2004, the problem is the scheme is outdated in 2017 and doesnt work in college football anymore.

in my opinion, its not

in my opinion, its not coaching per say, but schematics. read my recent comment.

The problem with this team

The problem with this team will not be solved by 8 months of off season work with the same coaching staff, there needs to be coaching changes. we saw that as bright as day in the bowl game. what then is the problem? it all comes down to schematics. it has nothing to do with this team "not wanting to win" or "not having the passion for the game". OF COURSE THEY WANT TO SUCCEED.

The main problem here, and to me its bright as day, is the fact Jim Harbaugh and Tim Drevno insist on running a 1980s offense in 2017. The "power-o" offense will never work unless you play weak competition like Wisconsin in the B1G west, and Stanford in the PAC-12.

If Harbaugh wants to not be known as a resounding failure who couldn't beat his rivals, its time to drop the caricature of what michigan football should be, and go with what is proven to work in the 21st century: a spread offense with a mobile qb. The read option and run/pass option is difficult to defend for very simple reasons: the human brain can only process and respond to external stimuli at a certain speed. When you have a linebacker who has to make a 50/50 decision to take a running back or qb, that second of apprehension from the defense gives the offense a big advantage. this same aspect is completely absent in Harbaughs offense. the defense stacks the box, reads the play immediately, and blows it up.

the solution at this point is to 1) get patterson eligable 2) fire drevno and pep and 3) hire someone who knows all the ins and outs of the spread offense and spend the next 8 months implementing it. 4) re-calibrate recruiting to accomodate this switch.

Think about which teams have given our defense nightmares over the last decade. they are all spread teams with mobile qbs. Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Clemson all run variations of the spread offense. UCF who is 42 spots below Michigan in the 247 sports composite recruiting rankings went 13-0 because they put up a LOT of points and ran the spread to perfection.

Imagine 2009 Rich Rod offense, with a Don Brown defense, does that not get you excited!?
