Just watch his Hudl tape on Rivals. I don't care what competition he's playing against, he's hitiing creases and exploding into the second level. Enough said.
I can't help but feel the same way. I wan't to see him beat the odds because the kid has been an absolute warrior about his injury, he was pretty damn good as a freshman starter and we sure could use him. Everything I read runs contrary to that hope however.
I'm so sick of trolls like Finebaum and Valenti getting their shots in against Michigan and ignoring the vast amounts of evidence pointing towards Harbaugh having Michigan on a steep upward trajectory.
I believe a healthy Newsome next year along with a very promising Center in Ruiz and Stueber or Filiaga stepping up could mean a huge leap forward in strength and athleticism on the line compared to what we've become accustomed to.
After watching his junior year tape I've been cautiously optomistic. I love this kids combo of size and length, athleticism and body control. He looks like a 3rd down/ red zone beast. He is gonna thrive in an offense with great coaching that caters to athletic, playmaking tight ends.
I understand that there's a difference between breakaway speed and good initial quickness, but I think Evans is more likely a solid 4 point mid 5s guy all day long. He may not be a burner but guys running a four-six and some change just don't split defenders and pull away from them the way Evans can.
If Michigan is clearly underated then the article is clearly pointless... Who want's to read about obviously flawed or incomplete analysis? And don't brush me off as being a homer, any metric that claimed OSU or PSU were no. 30 would get the same reaction from me.
With the combination of his size, frame and athleticism he has the look of a top 20 overall player to me. Very sudden burst for such a lanky player, not often I see a corner and see a potentially freakish athlete.
7-5 or 8-4 for Michigan? I get that good players left, but this is clearly not acknowledging the influx of talent stepping in. This article puts the anal in analysis.
Harbaugh chose Kaepernick as the starter over Smith in S.F.. And if Speight looks like an even slightly improved version of his 2016 self I think he's going to be coveted by NFL teams for his size and his ability to shake off tackles and throw downfield like Roethlisberger while in duress.
With Peters using a redshirt last season we'll have both him and Dylan overlapping for 3 out out 4 years. I'm not sure that the loser of that competition is going to ride it out. And if it ends up that McCaffrey wins Peters will be looking at holding a clipboard through his career at Michigan. Love having both of these gents but I'm not sure both will make it through their junior seasons together.
Hits top gear early and sort of remains. Sounds familiar, like Barry Sanders. He would get through the hole and was gone in a flash, but would get chased down... after 40 or 60 yards. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sayin' Barry, but I'm sayin' like Barry... This kid could be special.
But we had them on the hook during that season that we started out with the crushing loss to bama and they slipped away as the season went into the toilet.
I remember Hokes 3rd year when the top receiver and Fournette commited within days of each other. It takes a while to pick up steam on the crootin' trail when a new coach arrives. Seems like Harbaugh has gotten over that hump. I think the negative talk of other coaches claiming that Harbaugh was gonna go back to the NFL within a couple of years is wearing a little thin with these young guys that have seen Jim at Michigan during their whole highschool tenures. I look forward to many more.
I've been thinking the same thing for a while now. We've gone after top 50 overall TE, QB (and often OL) and RB prospects and keep coming up in 2nd place. This offense seems like a perfect fit for all of the above, especially those looking to go pro. Only a matter of time before we land the top QB, TE and RB in one class. I'm guessing our depth may be the reasons the TE, QB and RB prospects keep their distance. I trust in our offers (regardless of ratings) eventually being ballers though.
Your comment was so rediculous that you've compelled me to creat an account just to reply to it and I've been happily lurking here several times daily for over ten years. 3 star guys may not be 5 star guys, but they're far from being low ranked commits. If there are about 130 1A teams and a hundred or so guys on each, your looking at 13,000+ players. A guy ranked at 700 in a given year isn't exactly low. Not to mention that the staff probably feels that they have enough "sure thing" guys that they can take some shots on projects with very high ceilings due to work ethic, size and football IQ (which all of our 3 stars seem to have in spades). And I trust the assesment of our coaches more so than recruiting sites. Much like so called experts Mel Kiper and Todd Mcshay are never even close to how the draft actually goes down nor are they in line with the evaluations of pro football scouts. Some previous 3 star guys for example
Aaron Rodgers
Richard Sherman
Von Miller
Our own Chris Evans
Braylon Edwards
Neither Tom Brady or Ben Roethlisberger had a single star
Just trust in the staff, they know what they're doing. Harbuagh was running up the score on top recruiting teams at Stanford with way less heralded recruits than he's bringing in here.

And I'd like to add that there's nothing better than a nice piece of pie after a 69...

Best tight end of the last 20 years if he has the good fortune to have a healthy career.

Belichik would probably be happy to send any type of success he can Harbaugh's way to keep him happy, content and out of the NFL.
He's the Original Dude

I was thinking George Hamilton, thats the orange actor. lol Looks like Campbell has 3 catches for 42 yards for his career.

Once we got Peppers the flood gates opened in the fenced in garden state.
