06/14/2018 - 6:37pm I would find him a path to…

I would find him a path to any reasonably respectable degree, but have him work as many internships as possible in whatever area(s) he has interest in career-wise. Even if he takes any extra year to graduate.

06/08/2018 - 5:17pm How would McCaffrey jump…

How would McCaffrey jump Peters, when Peters has game experience? This only happens if Patterson goes down. If McCaffrey passes Peters on be depth chart it’ll be next year, providing Patterson goes to the NFL.

Ideally, for the program, they all stay and  we get 1 or 2 years according to class standing out of each guy, setting up a sustained stream of 1 or 2 years starters at there Junior/senior year.

06/07/2018 - 6:15pm So...after a good analysis…

So...after a good analysis that essentially says we will be much better than last year on offense and better on defense than 2016, we win only one more game than last year in regular season?

How anyone can predict the OSU game amazes me as records, rankings, and home/away have proven to mean nothing. ND maybe, as it is away, at night , and first game.

The worst is the mystery throw-away game that we are bound to lose ‘just ‘cause’.

Another contrived effort to look objective...the analysis does not support the prediction.

06/04/2018 - 10:41am For all that is holy

Please no more broad criticisms of the offense last year with third string QB!

06/02/2018 - 1:42pm I think he is more turbulent than laminar

:)

05/31/2018 - 9:32pm That is brilliant.

You win.

05/31/2018 - 3:13pm Michigan’s class now ranked 5

OSU 11th.

05/30/2018 - 10:38pm Harbaugh landed the best WR class in history

Last year...go on...

05/30/2018 - 9:40pm Michigan’s class is ranked 5

OSU 10.

05/29/2018 - 5:17pm A couple of answers I will throw out

For offense you have different skills sets for different plays/schemes. So you need depth AND versatility. There is the same skill set more or less for a lineman, so you just need depth.

On defense, you want more depth on the line because you need to rotate more, and more depth at DB because of a wider range of defensive sets...dime nickel, etc. Also some DBs turn into really good vipers.

I am NO expert though! Any comments from the real experts?

05/28/2018 - 10:38am Others mentioned are good ones

Also 1990 MSU; Des was interfered!

05/27/2018 - 9:33pm Defense is comparable between the two

However, more talent on offense this year, especially at the skill positions. Younger, but more talent and depth.

05/25/2018 - 6:17am While O line had some issues and young receivers

Remember we played 3 QBs last year, with 3rd string getting the most starts. Tough to coach your way past that, albeit nearly did against OSU.

05/21/2018 - 9:29am JBB

With Ed Warriner, he finally puts is all together and will be our very much needed solid LT.

05/17/2018 - 9:34pm If he thinks they are favored in every game

Then why does he predict 2 losses? How does one predict an upset? Dumb.

05/14/2018 - 10:41pm Lots of good ideas here

I second Viktualienmarkt. Go there on a Saturday late morning and have the white sausage with a couple beers.

I don’t recall the name of it, but there is an Irish pub below street level behind one of the big churches; I’ve had some good times there.

05/13/2018 - 3:16pm Agree!

Without the injuries last year, we are not talking about the QB position and issues on offense.

05/11/2018 - 8:54am I wonder if they made everyone wear pencils

on their ears for the line up.

05/09/2018 - 9:19am I’ve added exercise

In the past, I’ve usually tried to find local places, not chain restaurants if I’m traveling to the same place regularly. I’d rather have the familiarity after a while. If new places, especially Europe, take some time to explore. Last few years I’ve mixed in running, either when done at the office if sunlight/weather permitting, or use that fitness center. It counters the restaurant diet and likely more drinking than usual.

05/08/2018 - 7:19am Unless there is doubt of admission to Stanford

What else would he say?

05/06/2018 - 3:45pm This is chalk

Based on seniority.

05/03/2018 - 8:35am Three fullbacks on the roster named Ben?

Yes, please!

05/02/2018 - 11:56pm The East division is tough right now

That is why the schedule is tough, but it’s a round robin in each division. One competitive cross-over game per season should be expected.

05/02/2018 - 10:44am Who’s gonna sell the cookies then?

.

05/02/2018 - 8:04am Tough schedule thing is overblown for B1G champ

Only tough road games as it relates to winning the East are at MSU, where Harbaugh has already won, and at OSU, a rivalry where home field advantage doesn’t matter. Bottom line is Spartan Stadium is.no where near as tough of an environment as Camp Randall or Beaver Stadium, and we have the better team. Barring 3rd string QBs and hurricanes, it’s a win.

05/01/2018 - 7:21pm I’ll second Frasers

A lot of great after the game memories there.

04/30/2018 - 5:54pm Looking at depth chart we are 2 scholarships over

The limit; also some walk-ons that may deserve a scholarship. I wonder how we get back to 85 by fall camp.

04/29/2018 - 10:03am We have to go into Columbus with a chance to win

The Big Ten East, in order to win the Big Ten. Home field advantage doesn’t matter in this rivalry, and any team can win it. The teams will be close in talent and experience this year overall.

So looking at the rest of the schedule, looks easier this year than last, with Wisconsin and Penn St at home. At MSU could be the only away game against a decent team, and Spartan Stadium is not a big home field advantage.

04/29/2018 - 9:42am Are you assuming our 3rd string QB

Starts about half of our games again?

04/28/2018 - 1:01pm Only peculiar pick for me is the safety

Need more defense, but seems like a reach.

04/28/2018 - 1:00pm Thank you sir

Not a bad move.

04/28/2018 - 12:54pm What did the Lions give up to get back in 4th round

? Anybody know?

04/28/2018 - 12:48pm Whaaat?

Was he forgotten? Am I wrong, or is this huge value in this round?

04/28/2018 - 10:52am Another guess

The NCAA told Ole Miss they would approve with or without them, but in doing so would set a precedent for more transfers in the future. So Ole Miss approved for the PR and cooperate with the NCAA in not setting the precedent.

04/26/2018 - 10:22pm Couldn’t have traded down for a center?

Da fuuhh?

04/26/2018 - 10:06pm Lions pick an RB?

They could trade down now and still get Sony Michel.

04/26/2018 - 4:38pm Not surprised

Forecasts for Fusion and Focus have dropped dramatically over the last year or so.

04/26/2018 - 12:28pm Trade down a few spots to get Sony

Then use the extra pick to move up in second round to get Mo.

04/19/2018 - 5:34pm Did they drag him out of the weeds?

:)

04/19/2018 - 2:15pm Isn’t there an open scholarship

With Moe and Ibi leaving? Is there talk of a grad transfer?

04/16/2018 - 7:17pm Takes one to know one

:)

04/15/2018 - 3:29pm Came very close

2006 and 2016.

04/15/2018 - 12:33pm Not even close?

Explain how this team can’t win more games if healthy with a top 3 defense and another year of experience and much better QB on offense?

04/12/2018 - 11:29pm Best they did it last season

If the team is poised for a NC run, I wouldn’t take any chances on distractions. It was good they did this from a recruiting/publicity standpoint, and in a year where a championship is unlikely anyway.

04/12/2018 - 6:53pm I have the same gut feel

Don’t think he will hire/manage the staff well. Too young and eccentric.

04/10/2018 - 9:30am Systemic

And no. Clean programs are part of our pride and culture.

04/06/2018 - 6:47pm Great point

We are getting the bumps!

04/06/2018 - 3:10pm Do we need it?

Seriously. We are getting guys with the right attitude, Michigan men who fit the system. A few high rated guys mixed in with roles players/guys that develop. The roster is loaded next season. Why fix what isn’t broken?

04/02/2018 - 2:24pm How did they get to the line so much

And how can we fare better in that area?

03/31/2018 - 5:01pm This is what I am wondering

Go ahead and play him, and challenge any action the NCAA wants to take. Sue in court to change the rules of transfer eligibility.
