I'm glad Happy Jack City is gone.  Truly.

The next several weeks are looking good!!!  Bang me plz!!

07/02/2018 - 1:29pm Da fuq!?  Jerry Ford?

Da fuq!?  Jerry Ford?

06/30/2018 - 8:26am Yeah, a calm long form…

Yeah, a calm long form interview with difficult questions and nuanced answers (like them or not).

06/17/2018 - 1:15pm Taking my son out to a small…

Taking my son out to a small lake in about 20 minutes.  Hopefully a nice bluegill fry for dinner!

05/28/2018 - 8:06am We have a couple gardens

One for a small variety of herbs (a couple cinnamon basil leaves in your bourbon is a delicious summer treat!).  A second larger plot where we do tomatoes, zukes, cukes for pickling, radishes lettuce, kale, and this year I've box watermelons.  Everything but the masters are grown from seed.  Gardening is an incredibly satisfying way to spend a couple hours after work.

05/22/2018 - 1:30pm Really!?!?

That's a whole lotta hype! Anything to back it up??

05/21/2018 - 8:04am Hang in there Ace

Couple months and you'll be full so for the ND game!!

05/14/2018 - 5:28pm Totally agreed on the need to raise the 65 k number

Or prorate for higher middle class incomes. My daughter is premed at Wayne State rather than M 100% due to the amount of debt she is incurring. Neither her mom nor I are poor, but divorce ..... IT SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE POSSIBLE FOR A MICHIGAN KID OF MODERATE MEANS, WHO HAS THE GRADES, TO ATTEND MICHIGAN. It's not.

05/07/2018 - 3:53pm I've never lived or worked on a farm...

I would say (semi-relatedly) that folks who grow up hunting and fishing definitely deal with human sickness and death better than those who don't. At least with "normal" deaths of elderly people.

05/04/2018 - 5:25am Great news!

!

04/17/2018 - 9:43pm IMO we've had 3 really outstanding

First Ladies in my living memory ( born in 67). Barbara was the finest of the 3 even if we didn't share politics. Godspeed Mrs. Bush.

04/14/2018 - 9:56am Great story

+1

03/30/2018 - 7:59am Sorry man

.

03/30/2018 - 7:57am I was just out of M

And spending a winter in Steamboat working for ea buddy of my dad (both M grads). Watched at his house on the mountain.  What a night!

03/26/2018 - 9:29am Zingerman's

for all the sub ingredients! It'll be crazy!!

03/09/2018 - 11:01am I love grouse hunting

But it's just too much (travel, more extensive dog traing, my poor shooting), so duck hunting it is, and we'll see about pat hunting when Up North.  We 'll do the gun dog thread after hoops! Cheers!

03/09/2018 - 9:05am About 4 months now.

Using an old Bill Tarrant book that worked for me in another life.  I think I'm gonna wait till 7 months or so to force him.  I've heard very good things about Bill Hillman's methods.  Thoughts?

03/09/2018 - 7:15am Hey xtra

As an FYI the training on the new duck dog is going quite well!!

03/09/2018 - 7:12am Looks like Michael hugging

Fredo in Havana.

03/04/2018 - 8:35am Wanna shed a tear??

Check out Larry Prout's twitter message to Mo.

02/28/2018 - 4:47pm Correct

American's chili is just not very good.

02/04/2018 - 11:38am Wrong

Law was great both in college and the pros. Woodson was the greatest football player I've ever seen live except B Sanders.

02/02/2018 - 5:54pm I just took a look at your

Posting history and saw the bit about your college history.  I'm sure your friends are very proud of their association with you.  Cheers.

02/02/2018 - 1:12pm Classiest post

We'll read this year.

01/29/2018 - 5:45pm Only thing I'd add is that they wouldn't

Be Italian Americans.... They'd be Italians forced to relocate to a relatively infertile and remote  portion of Italy.

01/29/2018 - 5:40pm I hope you're

12 or 13 years old.  Otherwise you're an adult drawing an equivalency between the experience of a person who works in a brewery and an entire culture who's land was stolen and that was nearly annihilated.

01/29/2018 - 5:33pm I like the C

In fact I like their kits quite a bit.  Of course as a Tiger fan of really doesn't matter too much to me.

01/29/2018 - 11:02am No good Sicilian blood in me at all.

I just feel that both are way overpriced.  I probably came in a little strong there.  Cheers and Go Blue.

01/29/2018 - 10:50am Grazi

Is overrated but Palio  isnt??? Good lord!!!

$60 for 2 Inc a drink or two each and a decent tip??? I'd do noodles at Tomukun.  Just water for the happy couple?? Mikette! No question.

01/28/2018 - 2:56pm Whoever devoted this comment

is an asshole.

01/26/2018 - 12:59pm Yes. Exactly.

Could Nassar have just as easily have been associated with Michigan as MSU?  Yes. Absolutely.  Would he have been enabled at M like he was at MSU?  We'll thankfully never know, but it is exactly the leadership Brandon demonstrated that may have allowed it.  Thank goodness he's gone.

01/26/2018 - 12:21pm Tell you what...

The new AD has a tough freaking job, but a job that can be done.  Their new president will regret massively the day he/she took the job.  Between the lawyers and the financial liability it will be an impossible job.

01/26/2018 - 12:02pm Hang in Wendy.

Thoughts to you and your family.

01/24/2018 - 4:41pm Powerful words from Ms. Riley

I don't like Sparty any more than anyone else around here, but right now I feel badly for many of them. My friends from State are uniformly pissed, ashamed, and confused. Fuck Ms Simon and let's hope it's a good long while before we hear stories like these again....emanating from any institution.

01/23/2018 - 7:19pm You're one of my 3 favorite members

Murders. Plus 1

01/23/2018 - 6:21am You're

Moron.

01/22/2018 - 3:48pm Yer an idiot.

.

01/13/2018 - 4:33pm Pretty good!

!

01/02/2018 - 7:20am A fifth round RB may or

May not make a roster. Certainly won't make generational type money with his first contract, and the load on our tailbacks is pretty light right now. If he were C. Perry or Ty Wheatly getting mashed 25 times a game then yeah... Higdon will be part of a rotation and have another year to get bigger and stronger and learn pass pro.

12/28/2017 - 12:20pm Without diving into politics

I'd note 2 things.... 1) Robert Mueller has lived as honorable a (public) life as any that I'm aware of. 2) I've yet to see an independent, respected voice call the investigation a "sham". If we can't trust this man to run a fair investigation we can't trust anyone.

12/28/2017 - 12:05pm Yep

.

12/26/2017 - 7:29pm You should turn in

Your mancard and any fingerhold you may have had on good taste by recommending Soft Parade.

12/25/2017 - 12:19pm Due to divorce, not disrupting the kids' predivorce traditions,

Family moving, a strange falling out with my only uncle, my wonderful girlfriend's family being in FL.... I've spent the last number of Christmases alone.  I always have lots of offers, but I'm okay with it now.  The kids will arrive tonight, I'm taking care of a brand new lab pup, and I'm prepping a good albeit nontraditional meal.  Soon my gal will be back and we'll have our own little Christmas.

12/15/2017 - 8:36am Gonna be a holly jolly Christmas this year!!

New duck hunting partner descending upon Depot Town in 1 week (lab puppy!!)

11/28/2017 - 12:47pm Let's also be honest...

A current version of Perry would also be a pretty good backup on Michigan for the foreseeable future

11/22/2017 - 4:04pm Balsamic is intriguing

Dilly dilly is stupid and was played inside of 3 minutes.

11/14/2017 - 12:35pm Hard work is

Honorable in and of itself. Many many people work fast food because it's what they can get both short and long term. To be stuck in that position and not try to snake a disability claim or have a couple kids for ADC or whatever is very very honorable. I won't call you an asshole, but if you're not you should rethink your comment.

11/10/2017 - 10:15am Very generous offer!!!

But no, heading down to the ex-father-in-law/bro-in-law's place in S. Hillsdale Co. We should trout fish next summer though. My family used to have a place on Rennie L so I know the Boardman pretty well. I understand that's your neck of the woods.

11/10/2017 - 9:57am Hey Xtra...

My boy (13) got his first turkey two weekends ago.  Hugely exciting hunt with a 6 point wandering past us at about 10 yards then straight through the birds we were watching.  Eventually they came within easy range and he made a nice (if very easy) shot.  Thought you should know.  Go Blue!!
