Suh seems to claim Nebraska's D will be better this year, another year of the system, another year of Pelini's recruits....same thought process can be used for Michigan.
So that's 6 of our opponents that run a version of the spread...is that right? Only problem is after the divisional breakdown, we'll only probably play 3 or 4 of these teams annually.
Big Ten
Illinois: Multiple spread
Indiana: Multiple spread
Michigan: Spread option
Northwestern: Multiple spread
Penn State: Spread HD
Purdue: Shotgun spread
I'm just not sure how you know he was doing his best to meet the standards and I think Michigan actually set a precedent by not admitting him. It's actually refreshing to see for college athletics.
Michigan stood to lose more than they could gain from this situation if he did get into trouble again. Especially in the midst of all these other ncaa issues, etc. They made a call with the University's best interest in mind and you can't fault them for that.
Haha Garnett was in a code red...so great, great game 7 tonight.
Well for starters....Here in Phoenix, the Huskers have taken over one of the 3 local sports radio stations and they broadcast every Nebraska game on the station.
They even have a local team store in Scottsdale that only sells Nebraska gear.
I guess the key word is AFTER in this post but regardless the guy is a good coach and may be an even better on MNF. How good was that game btw...Brady vs. Woodson in the snowbowl...classic
Definitely worth going, I sat in the center of the student section with my Michigan jersey and just had a few comments but nothing bad.
If you tailgate, there are a few RV's that sell Penn State Drinking Gloves...ask around
Everything you read about traffic is true. It's horrible, I would just plan on parking on the other side of campus by the frats and do the 20 min walk to the stadium.
Literally, if you park at the stadium it will take you 2 hours to get out of the parking lot and another 2 hours just to leave town. Avoid it at all costs, just hike it back to the other side of campus and hit up a hotel that night.
Yeah I mean speed, hip twists...he played well against Big Ten WRs' right? Made some sick plays...
I definitely didn't want him going early since I selfishly wanted him back for our D but in this economy...a chance to take care of your family. You got to do it...Not like he is not going to get drafted.
Rumours about the NFL lockout in 2011 and changes to rookie pay scale might have had a little bit to do with it too.

For a long time, Michigan has been a QB Factory and it was just generally accepted that upperclassmen take the helm...the system was in place.
It wasn't until Henson came in that the system fell apart. He went to the yankees and we were forced to go to Navarre...things have been out of whack since.
Upperclass QB makes a huge diff, hopefully DG redshirts and we can built our qb system back up.
Is it just me or is the "No Fly Zone" the greatest thing ever...I know it was used for Dorsey's highschool secondary but can he bring it over to Michigan?
I am probably way off base here, but does anyone else get this weird sinking feeling like Michigan Football post 2010 is eerily similar to the Fab Five's introduction to the college basketball world. All these players with dreads, running sub 4.3's, coming in and totally changing the Mich culture...probably pushing it but hoping to see a lot more of this swagger on the field.

Purdue Guaranteed...
Lots of hatred brewing down there for Michigan with the suspension/handshake and now Roundtree has become legit, one of our main threats...Rich Rod alluded to the whole stealing recruits thing too in the presser saying if a guy is committed why is he still looking... so it was definitely on his mind.
http://www.annarbor.com/sports/post-game-handshake-turns-personal-for-r…
I don't put too much stock in the ESPN 150, they often have the wrong positions for players, wrong height, weight etc. Jordan Hicks already committed to Texas while this segment was airing.
Pryor has 2 more years and Joe Pa has to retire soon...UMich takes over 2012 and beyond
Not like we need more stress but has anyone else noticed that our all time winning percentage is getting extremely close to ND's. Here's to hoping Rich Rod can turn it around before Brian Kelly...
2009-2010
1) Michigan 877 wins, 304 losses, 38 ties, 1219 GP, 0.73503
2) ND 837 wins, 291 losses, 41 ties, 1169 GP, 0.73353
3) Texas 845 wins, 321 losses, 34 ties, 1200 GP, 0.71833
4) Ohio St. 819 wins, 308 losses, 53 ties, 1180 GP, 0.71653
5) Oklahoma 796 wins, 305 losses, 53 ties, 1154 GP, 0.71274
If Mich goes 5-7 and ND goes 7-5 (Which I don't think will happen next year but could) there goes our lead...

*GP = Games Played
Take a look at the co-ed Orange Pride...comprised of 7 dudes, which man the HQ back at campus and like 50 ladies who roll out to the highschool games to pick up recruits....
http://admissions.utk.edu/undergraduate/contact/orangepride.shtml
I mean seriously, that's hard to compete with.
We own ND and its good to know their defense will be as bad as ours. I think we'll have the edge in offense for awhile as well...I'm liking our chances going forward.
I'm almost scared for us to go 6-0 and get too overly confident again, I agree on what some people are saying with Uconn being better than expected.
Hate to say it but we might lose the new stadium opener...either way I think we drop one of the first 4...then lose to Iowa, PSU, Wisco, OSU. All those teams are laden with upperclassmen with talent...At 7-5 and a bowl game, I would be happy and then we can enter 2011 with some lofty expectations...

I guess it would have to be a New York/New Jersey team such as Rutgers or Syracuse....
Penn State could feasibly take a step back when Paterno steps down...but I agree East is Stacked.
On the other hand...you can argue that having Penn St, Iowa, Wisco, Nebraska in one division is stacked over Mich, Mich St. Ohio St etc
This has to be one of the reasons Nebraska wanted to join .... They would own the West
I think Illinois teams go West, Indiana teams go East and then you have:
4 non-conference (Mich will always have ND)
5 divisional games
3 Big Ten non-division games (home and home)
1 Big Ten Championship Game

FYI there are no Michigan gear stores here and the main Michigan Bar to watch games is shared by Michigan State.
Sounds like this is the place
The fact that Upper Deck shares with State and has no seating upstairs has turned me away from that bar as well.
I'll check out the Chandler spot and see if TomVH can meet up
