07/16/2018 - 10:29am listened to AAFC on the…

listened to AAFC on the Michigan Insider this morning with Sam and they brought up one of them many items that should be addressed to increase competitiveness in the sport - different levels with relegation and promotion taking place every year. It's counter to the structure of all other major leagues in the US but I see it as being beneficial to help with growth of the sport. To put things in perspective, Portugal is a country very comparable to the State of Michigan (population about 10million).

The main league in Portugal has 18 teams, eighteen! And yes, most of them average 5-10k people in the stands per game. And that is just the first division, most countries have 2 professional divisions and 2-3 of amateur teams below that.

Soccer will never be #1 in USA as it is in other countries around the world, and that is just fine but the potential to grow is still tremendous, just imagine a top division with 20-24 teams, and a secondary "feeder" division with another 20 or so teams.

As for the cost... in other countries, there are no travel teams, it's either a group of friends playing in local leagues or it's club based soccer (where the top players are being developed) very similar to a minor league system. Example here - https://www.slbenfica.pt/en-us/futebol/formacao - Benfica has u13 u15, u17 and u19 programs.

ok... that was a long post

07/11/2018 - 7:59am read somewhere this transfer…

read somewhere this transfer will cost Juventus a whopping 390million! ($110mil transfer + $35mil/year for 4years + equal amount of salary paid in taxes  (can you imagine this happening in the US?? ) so CR7 is costing Juve 97.5mill/year. Insanity!

07/11/2018 - 7:25am unless they're converting…

unless they're converting the Bernabeu in to a swimming pool I really don't see how Neymar will improve that roster. now MBappe... will they offer PSG 250+mill?

With Spanish taxes being what they are and how aggressive they are with top players I wonder if that will impact future big star signings. My guess is RM and Barca will overpay Yankees-style.

Coach seems so much more relaxed and dare I say relatable? Great interview.

Now someone get coach his convertible.

Mr. Gray beating up on Notre Dame I see... I like it!

06/28/2018 - 9:47am both teams will play…

both teams will play reserves, let them go for the win and carry momentum. All it takes is one surprise win early in the knockout rounds and it could shift the conversation altogether. Look at what Portugal did in Euro2016

I'd be down for donating to an app also but frankly if the new site performs better come game day threads then I'll be fine. Now can we get back to more recruiting and Chris Webber? Never heard Sam Webb so excited on the radio

06/22/2018 - 9:36am I cant stand Neymar. Plenty…

I cant stand Neymar. Plenty other players dive and flop and cry (which drives me insane) but Neymar is an absolute disgrace to the game. This PK is a great example. He rather go for the foul (PK) instead of taking the shot. I'm glad VAR called the PK back.

06/22/2018 - 9:34am S.American teams have been…

S.American teams have been relatively overrated for a couple years now mainly because Brazil and Argentina will always be viewed as favorites. Argentina has talent (don't let announcers fool you to think otherwise) but the Messi v. National team issues are real and Brazil lacks balance.

That makes me feel better :) I did an Ironman not that long ago so I consider myself reasonably athletic but then you watch the real athletes... it's humbling for sure.

I'm one of the typical negative-nellies when it comes to recruiting (especially on OL) but is anyone complaining about Khaleke Hudson? How about Drew Singletary or any other LB  who could easily be a Viper?

It would absolutely be fantastic to get all the top guys but it's just not happening. Not unless we are winning B1G Championships and going to the playoffs on a regular basis.

Groupon - my wife got me one of those with Xtreme Xperience on-track packages. I drove the 911 GT3 and absolutely loved it. definitely pricey tho

04/19/2018 - 8:13am sorry but it sounds like

sorry but it sounds like noise is exactly what he wants. What better way to draw attention and show his kids he has their back even after they leave the program than to attack a polarizing coach?

04/13/2018 - 9:00am did anyone else feel it was

did anyone else feel it was odd Pep didn't coach WR once in the whole series? it was part of his title

My favorite moment was the "just pick up the phone Jabroni" with Brandon Peters LOL

04/10/2018 - 11:53am it's about admiting guilt in

it's about admiting guilt in this case, Ole Miss doesn't want to do that and I'm sure any lawyer would advise them to do exactly that.

04/08/2018 - 12:08am Not trying to stir the pot

Not trying to stir the pot but two questions?

1. Does this help or hurt us in recruiting?
2. Does it hurt Speight with transfer options?

04/07/2018 - 11:58pm Agree with other comments

Agree with other comments about editing clearly portraying Pep in a positive light but a couple thoughts on what I appreciated about Pep. 1 managed the QBs well, calming and encouraging voice 2. Some bad bad throws and misreads by JOK and Speight. Can’t remember game or episode when Speight goes in after getting the play and JH all’s out “ no kill, no kill”, what does he do immediately after? Kill kill. Complete facepalm.

One thing is an absolute must going forward and I hope JH learns from Beilein. It doesn’t matter how much you know, it matters how much the players can interpret and apply on game day.

04/07/2018 - 8:33am I like your approach, Do More

I like your approach, Do More Say Less.

04/06/2018 - 1:54pm Also impressed with Pep's

Also impressed with Pep's demeanor and control of the offense. He looks to be the OC by far. Pep also knows his QBs pretty well and a calming influence during games.

QBs just made so many mistakes..

04/06/2018 - 1:32pm through 4 episodes couple

through 4 episodes couple things have stood out to me.

1. QB play was worse than we even thought.. "no kill on this play" what does WS do? "kill, kill!"

2. Editing does a whole lot but Pep looks to have command of the offense (definitely NOT Drevno)

3. Don Brown can swear up a storm!!!

Lets go Blue!

03/31/2018 - 9:19pm Self doesnt coach Nova ;)

Completely misread your comment... (smacks forehead)

03/30/2018 - 4:41pm Cool and it does seem like

Cool and it does seem like the guys are bonding if nothing else. Success of S&C will be measured (at least for me) in the running game - can OL maul opposing DL's? - and 4th quarter performance. Team with no energy late in games, especially when it really counts.

I thought coach mentioned it during his post SB podcast

02/07/2018 - 3:00pm Is Coach harbaugh speaking to

Is Coach harbaugh speaking to the media today? If so, when and where? Thank you!

02/07/2018 - 11:11am completely disagree. what we

completely disagree. what we need is good coaching first. Focus on actually developing a halfway decent offensive line and an offense that allows this team to win big games. Our defense doesn't have eleven 5 star players yet they do pretty darn well, especially if you consider the putrid offense we've had.

Then, and only then, will we get (more) top talent. We'll never recruit at OSU, UGA, FSU, USC, Bama level.

I'm probably one of the more pessimistic guys around here and I honestly dont think this team wins more than 8 games this year but lets remember how close the majority of our losses have been. it's not just talent, I'm honestly more concerned with poor coaching.

01/31/2018 - 11:02am This is Sam prepping everyone

This is Sam prepping everyone for Otis going to UGA. I too am more concerned with OL than LB at this stage but it would still be great to have Otis join the team.

01/31/2018 - 6:55am Does anyone else feel this

Does anyone else feel this more subdued Harbaugh is working against him? I know hypocrisy reigns supreme when Saban is doing the cha-cha and everyone loves it. Just feels like Jim is handing all the recruiting keys to his staff.

01/26/2018 - 6:38pm Not even resignations this

Not even resignations this far, they’re all “retiring” so they get to keep pensions, etc.

01/26/2018 - 6:27pm June 2017 “ this is new

June 2017 “ this is new ground for us. We’ve been here 11 years, it’s not happened previously”- Mark D’Antonio

01/25/2018 - 7:20pm I’m disappointed because 1.

I’m disappointed because 1. Drevno and Pep have gotten no bites from any schools 2. This is yet another coach for Harbaugh to replace and 3. Enos has decent relationships in Detroit schools. It’s like we’re taking three steps back. Last year Harbaugh went out found the top guy he wanted and that was it, this year it’s been an absolute mess

01/21/2018 - 3:54pm So far absolutely zero

So far absolutely zero pressure on Bortles. NE could use a TO because they can’t stop them right now. Half time adjustments needed for sure. Getting absolutely destroyed at the LOS
