Generally, a large proportion of a coach’s total compensation will be in exchange for duties that satisfy the university’s media, sponsorship, and apparel contracts, including a grant of the coach’s name, likeness and image (collectively, referred to as “supplemental compensation”). Though paid by the university, the Talent Fee is typically funded from revenue generated by its rights deals and sponsorships. "
Very young team plus what has already been said, the 3 who took olympic redshirts, Micic, Massa and Amine aren't just random dudes. They're top 5 wrestlers at weights where we really struggled this year. Plus, Silva at 133 was injured most of the year and still gave #1 Seth Gross a tough match in the Big Ten tournament. I think next year's fully weaponized team will be significantly better, with the #3 overall recruit in the country (McHenry) at 125 and the (?7th, ?12th) Amine brother Cam (#19 overall) coming off their usually obligatory freshman redshirt years, plus the previously mentioned olympic guys. Should really be an exciting team. Hope that helps.
