Um Yes!!

Did you not see the show Washington put on this week against Friendship Academy.  He is an elite DE ALL THE WAY!  THe kid would come in and make an impact right away at Michigan.  He is that good, if Washington wants to come you make a way for him to come.

Bolden

in my eyes is the best LB ready to play day 1 for us.  I also think Ross is ready but he's a little undersized.  Bolden has college size right now.  I really like that kid

Washington is a MAN

Washington is a man out there.  He is a great DE he plays hard on every play. Man he would have been a great pickup.  Taft's offensive line is completely over matched though, they are just to small.  Also that DB Tabor for Friendship is doing a great job on Stanford.  We need to get on Tabor early he's only a sophmore but has 10 offers already he could be a good one.  Taft needs a QB.

Can't Wait

I can't wait for the season to start. I've been on Youtube watchin old games and player tributes for months it seems.  The best part of that video hands down is Marcus Ray poppin David Boston and then when the show Boston all Dazed and Confused.  I love that hit

I aree

Bill Greene is a very good reporter and usually right when it comes to these things.  He's very objective too.  He was one of the first guys saying that we were going to get alot of top recruits from Ohio this year.

Josh is Rivals

new midwest recruiting analyst.

Muskegon vs Rockford

What makes you think Grandville will be good this year?  The better game to watch is Muskegon vs Rockford.  I believe Juwan Lewis gets a Michigan offer if Dunn doesn't committ.  And that is a classic rivalry.

Package Deal???

Are you serious when has it ever been stated that T-Rich and Ross are a package deal?  Ross seams to be 100% committed to Michigan, T-Rich has never seemed to be that way.  And yes they are good friends but i don't ever recall any so called package deal

Stauskis

I really think Stauskis is going to make a big move up the rankings.  That kid is a flat out stud.  I have watched many of his films and i think he is going to be a beast in our system.  He's an amazing shooter, he can beat you off the dribble.  I just love that kids game.  You add him with Robinson in that class and then Irvin another lights out shooter, and this team is going to be extremely dangerous and fun to watch for many years to come.

Denard

I have it for PS3 and i've only played 4 games so far. (all online, I won't play the computer) But Denard hasn't gotten hurt in any game. He hasn't even had to leave the game at all. So i don't know if that injury thing is just an Xbox issue or what?  But it hasn't affected my game. Overall i think it's a good game, but key word is GAME.  They will never make the game perfect or fix all the bugs.

Ohio is losing it

Yeah i got banned from the Ohio Recruiting Board on Scout today after telling them how classless their fan base is for the way they talk about Kalis.  He's a 17 yr old kid and you should see the things they are saying about him.  One guy got mad and said don't generalize the Ohio State fan base off of one poster.  But i replied with all the numerous classless things they do and he actually had to agree with me.  It was classic.  He had nothing to say but "well you back up your argument pretty good, guess your right"  I love it. Screw Ohio

Lewis if your

talking about wanting to fill just  a RB position. I think Norfleet is a great talent and would fit in the old system perfectly. But he would be more of a return specialist/situational guy with us now. Not saying that's bad, it would be great to have someone back there who can take it to the house at any time.  But i think Lewis is a better fit as a RB in the new system.  I think he would actually excel as an I-formation HB.

I like him

a lot.  I saw him in person last year vs Rockford (Ben Braden's school).  And He played well.  I' ve also seen alot his highlights throughout last year.  I think his lack of big time offers comes from the fact he actually plays FB in Muskegon's triple option offense.  If he was the HB in a more pro-style or straight spread offense I believe he would have alot more offers.  But as far as his skill set i think it's high and he plays against great competition every week.  I wouldn't mind adding him to this class.

Dunn

I have heard also that Dunn is a longshot for us.  Not saying we have no shot at all, but the chances of us landing him aren't as high as most of us thought.  The word is he had a birthday party over the weekend and had a Ohio State decorated cake.  Seems like he might be staying put.

Your Wrong

The reason we look down on the SEC's practice of Grey Shirting is because they are not up front with the players who receive them.  They offer kids scholarships and when someone better  comes along they force them into a grey shirt or force the kid to find a new school.  What Hoke is doing is completely transparent and honest.  He has outlined the possibilities to the kid and is giving the kid the chance to make his opinion.  If he doesn't want to take the risk of a grey shirt, he is open to go with another school.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with this and those who feel uneasy have no reason to at all.

Perfect FIt

I think the Lakers are a perfect for Darius.  I think it was a blessing that he was able to fall to him. Congrats and he should be happy!  This is basically the Lakers 1st rd pick and they need a PG bad.  He has a shot to come in and play right away

Not at all

It's been said multiple times that they like Thurston and Bars just as much as some of the other guys. And they would take their commit if given.  Thurston is a 4* with a good offer sheet they would not turn him down.  Especially when Peat is a Long shot and Kalis is taking multiple visits

I Agree

I felt the same way when i saw the news he committed. I am not sold that he ends up a Spartan when it's all said and done.  But he won't be at Michigan either, we have moved on

Plain and Simple

THey got Strobel who may get us Kalis.  That's the guy they wanted and that's who they got

Garmon

I have read a couple of places, one particular Rivals.  That Garmon and Michigan seems to not be happening.  I don't know who isn't that interested in who.  But the two seem to be drifting away.

Get your Popcorn ready

this is going to be very interesting!!

Good luck Keenan

Hope he does well at TTU, should i feel bad that i was actually happy when i saw this.

Boy i hope we switch to a 3-4

in the near future.  Not this year but with the LB's coming in for '11 and '12 i think a 3-4 will suit our personell the best.  And I think the 3-4 is a great defense to run

No West Coast Schools for Olsen

Olsen said he only wants to go to a HIGH academic non-west coast school. So that eliminates UCLA, Stanford and Cal.  And Florida and Wisconsin are not what he's looking for.  The kid values education above everything else.

national prospects?

What makes Bars or Olson not national prospects. Bars has a great offer sheet and Olsen has few offers because he pretty much told everyone he's only looking at high academic non-west schools. Well that eliminates the whole SEC besides Vanderbilt.  O-line prospects are hard to evaluate and more than not, high star guys bust and mid ranked guys blossom.  Braden and Stacey both may be 4* before the season is over.  Regardless of who we get this Oline class will be very good

First come first serve

seems to be the route Hoke is taken.  It sounds like Blake Bars is VERY high on us now.  Tre Keenan loved his visit and from that interiew Kalis almost sounds like he has one foot out the door of OSU already. Some are saying  to hold off on guys like Bars or Keenan.  But Bars has offers from PSU, LSU, FLorida, and many others so he's no slouch.  We are in on so many top flight Olineman and are going to fill up before some of the guys the posters think we should wait for decide.  IMO Hoke and Co. are doing the right thing and they hold all of the Oline guys we are in play with in high regard and would be happy with any of them.  Ben Braden is only a 3* right now but could be one of the best lineman we get in this class.  Evaluating Oline prospects is hard and we shouldn't just look at stars and rankings as a barometer of talent.

Well your gut feeling sucks!!

Just joking, but what makes you feel that way, when O'brien is saying they are no longer his #1.  The coaches have been cooling off on O' brien.  But it looks like they have turned up the heat and he may have been waiting for that the whole time.  I think he goes Blue!

It sounds like O'brien

is starting to feel the Michigan love again.  I will say this O'brien and Pipkins is a nasty 2 man tandem at DT.

Worth the money

for sure.  I'm mad i missed the $50 sale.  IMO Two Escobars was the best, followed by The U, Pony Excess and Marcus Dupree.  The len Bias and Allen Iverson one's were very good too.

We do have

to remember these kids still have a whole year of football to play. So those rankings can change drastically. I personally think Washington is the Best of them all in Ohio.  And I think Strobel is a great compliment to a Washington or Wormley.  One thing this coaching staff is doing is getting pieces that fit the puzzle.  They have guys who can play multiple positions and we know Mattison likes to move guys around.  If they did in fact back off of Pittman, I believe it was for a good reason. And there is no reason we should get mad with all the success we are having on the recruiting front.  Also some have said that Pittman is more suited for OLB than DE.  WHere as Wormley or Washington are big DE's who could also play DT!

Not mad at all

I can't be mad at this at all. We can't get every DE in the midwest, there just isn't enough room.  Sparty was bound to reap a couple benifits from the OSU mess and Michigan only being able to take some many guys.  And Sparty's really can't say much to us because the coaches slowed things down with Pittman over the last couple of weeks and that probably played the biggest role in him committing to MSU. I'll take Wormley and Washington and won't lose sleep over him going to MSU!

We tend

to forget about Kellen Jones and Poole in this class.  You add those 2 with the LB's we bring in next year.  And that is going to be a dominating crew for many years to come.  I'm dreaming of a 3-4 Defense.  But that's just my Steeler blood talking.

Ojemudia is not

in the Army game yet.  He was nominated for the game.  And they nominate over 500 players.  Royce Jenkins-Stone has been selected to play in the Army game. But Mario O has just been nominated and might get selected.  Rivals seems to be a little low on him, they claim it's because he's a tweener

Ringer a 3*

Ringer just got a 5.7 3 star rating

Standifer

Standifer is almost guaranteed to be a 4* before the final rankings are done.  But he'll probably start off as a 3*  But the guys on Rivals are very high on him

Re: Oh Stop it

Why would you do that??  Why?? that's just wrong.

Can the Lebron

lovers please stand up!! Oh their all hiding now! I said this after game 4 he is not the king, prince or court jester!  The guy has never stepped up when needed this whole series.  Jason Terry has owned him since game 2.  Please I hope i never hear a Lebron James is the Greatest of All time statement again.  Because he is not even close!!

Listen

if i would have had the opportunity these kids have i would have taken every free trip possible.  Some of these kids have never been out of their own block and this is the first time for them to see other parts of the country.  I have no worries about him being Blue, let the kid enjoy the ride!

I'm not worried

This staff has gained my respect when it comes to recruiting.  Obviously there are some grade issues that are serious enough that he might not be able to make it in.  I don't think there is anything wrong with asking a kid to hold off and work some things out.  You don't want to take a commit and possibly lose out on a player like Washington (which could also mean Stanford) If their is a possibility the kid can't make it in academically.  It just feels good to know that we have the option to tell a kid to hold off because we have so many top rated guys interested in us.

Calm down

he was just joking. And Tom even tweeted that he was joking. Like Saginaw State would really be in his top 5

Oh Baby!!

That's what I'm talking about, that's what I'm talking about.  Michigan, check; Ohio, check, National recruiting base, check!!  This is going to be one sick class.  Now lets all hope this team handles it's business come the fall

It's Great to be a Michigan Wolverine!!!

Is Godin at DT

a strong possibility?  I hope so because if this is true, Strobel, Wormley, Washington and Mario O is a pretty fantastic haul at DE.  If we can get Pipkins and Day, watch out.  Talk about a D Line.

I don't know about ESPN's

rankings.  But it was mentioned on Rivals that Standifer should definately be a 4 star before it's all said and done.  Most think his stock would have sky rocketed if he would have held off of his commitment.  I am really excited about his future with us.

Oh so your

one of those Lebron is better Kobe types too.  Get out of here.  if your talking today yes Lebron is better than Kobe because Kobe is at the end of his career.  But throughout their career's Kobe is the better player.  And Lebron has a good series against Chicago from 3 point range and now he's a good outside shooter.  He's never been a good outside shooter, he's a streaky shooter who will have a good game every so often from behind the 3.  But Wade is all around a better shooter than Lebron.  But there's probably no point debating this with you because you think Lebron is better than Kobe.  And i find that comical.

How is it not true

When they lost those 6 or 7 games in a row at the buzzer it was because Lebron was dominating the ball at the end of the game and misses several late game shots.  When the Heat lost game 2 it was because of the same thing.  Wade had 36 points with 7 minutes left in the 4th during game 2 and Lebron decided he had to take fade away 3's and iso's.  And that's the reason the Heat lost. Wade IS the closer for the Heat.  And IMO Wade is the better overall player. And if you took Wade off the Heat and he went to Cleveland the Heat would have finished worst off than Cleveland so theirs no truth to that statement you made either.

Yes I objectively

think Wade is better than Lebron.  i think Lebron ma be the best athlete we've seen in the NBA ever. But Wade is a better shooter, he's not 6'9 so he's not as good as a rebounder but he is a great rebounder and he plays just as good defense as Lebron.  He has had several blocks or steals that have been huge plays not just in this series but the whole year.  I just don' t believe Lebron is as great as people make him out to be.  If he wins a ring this year it will be because of Wade.  And it's not even debatable about the closing aspect.  Wade is a better closer than Lebron. When Miami won their 1st ring, Wade was amazing. And when it counts most he's playing amazing again. And i'm not a heat fan and i don't like Wade or Lebron.

There were a

couple questionable calls but i think it was called fairly overall.  More interesting is when will people get off the Lebron is the best ever bandwagon.  he's not even the best on his team.  The only reason they win tonight is because of Wade.  And if Lebron would have given Wade the ball at the end of game 2 the Heat would be up 3-0

I was just

about to post the comment about Woodley and #56.  That has to be a plus for us.

BLah,BLah,BLah

Seriously?? Most have said that the staff plans on recruiting 25 kids.  Now if that makes you feel dirty inside, too bad for you.  Every we get these same useless posts about "out of balance" and "depth".  These coaches know what they are doing. We are having quite possibly the bet class in YEARS and people just can't be happy with that.  They have to find something to gripe about.  Enjoy the recruiting success and trust the coaches to handle depth issues.  That's what they get paid to do.This is a great year in the midwest when it comes to Defensive talent and the coaches know that.  You load up on as many of these elite D prospects as you can.  It will all work itself out in the long run.

Give me Morgan

and I'm happy.  If Reeves likes PSU slightly more than I wish him success there.  There is no reason to worry over one commit, with the way this class is filling up.  Either you want to be a Wolverine or you don't.  Didn't they get the memo that Michigan is the Texas of the midwest when it comes to recruiting (lol)
