Wife’s birthday is the 19th. Anniversary is the 26th. Also if she needs anything, she usually just buys it. I usually come up with something good for the birthday then just have to gift card it. Doesn’t go well

06/01/2018 - 6:24am 100% true and humble brag

I met Zidane at the US U20 game that he went to watch in March. So I’m pretty sure that he was scouting them as a prelude to taking over this summer. This could be the only possible explanation.

That or his son plays for the U20 France team that the US team was playing

05/21/2018 - 3:09pm Ummmm

So I’m not real good at counting, but...

01/16/2018 - 3:41pm Yes

Yes pfholland and Mcdoomsbutt already posted it. Ba-dum-ch!

Sorry. I'll show myself out.

01/12/2018 - 10:04am Wow

Dude all sorts of things wrong with this post. But all just mention 2. First off, it's about commitment. If you're not willing to stop smoking weed to play football, then priorities aren't right to be a D1 athlete. Secondly, i don't think we want Michigan doing anything modeled after the Baylor football program.

09/03/2016 - 11:54am Cooking tortillas

Corn tortillas - flash fry them in cooking oil.

Flour - toast them on a cast iron griddle (called a comal by my Mexican grandma, has a permanent spot on the back left burner of her stove)

04/09/2016 - 1:14am Was the right call

I'm watching the Dodgers broadcast and Orel Hershiser is calling the game. FWIW, he wholeheartedly agreed with manager Dave Roberts' decision.

Taken out of context and with hindsight 20/20, it doesn't make much sense. It is not so much about the 100 pitches, but the fact that in the 8th inning, the pitcher had just walked the tying run onto base. It was a walk that didn't even look like a battle. Roberts assessed that his pitcher was struggling and that, along with the fact his pitcher is in his debut and hasn't ever gone this deep in a while, the manager went to the 'pen. As the Giants just won the game, it was clearly the wrong call, but at the time, it was a correct call.

Don't go chasing them. Not sure what I should stick to though

01/25/2015 - 12:11am disagree

Bobby Newcombe was a big time recruit who went to Nebraska as a QB (was #40 if I remember correctly) but was beat out by Eric Crouch. Also Landry Jones was a big recruit out of Artesia when he went to Oklahoma. Only big name QBs I can think of though.

12/30/2014 - 1:31pm Stewart shouldn't be overlooked

I had never heard of Stewart before but the guy plays for Denver this year. So he has enough talent to make an NFL roster. This shows more depth of Harbaugh's recruiting and/or development.

09/10/2014 - 8:35pm They are allowed

It is dependent on the Major Command the unit falls under (ie AETC is allowed but ACC is not)

Cocaine's a helluva drug.

03/08/2014 - 6:39pm Chuckle

I can't help but laugh thinking of Lou Holtz saying that.

03/02/2014 - 9:02pm Lest we forget

Pretty sure he recruited Troy Aikman.  And he's like Whitey McWhiterson.

02/16/2014 - 11:36am agree somewhat

I think we all feel that way sometimes, until that time where the internet on your phone is running slow and you just want to see the up to date score...then we all scream about how life sucks.

02/11/2014 - 11:24pm Derrick Freakin Walton

When there's trouble, you call DW (Jr.)

02/01/2014 - 7:47pm I dub thee...

As long as Crean is the coach, I shall heretofore refer to them as the Schrute-siers.

12/27/2013 - 3:37pm Texas Bowl here I come!!!

On the way to Reliant in Houston to watch the Texas Bowl. Should be a good game and at least it doesn't have a stupid sponsor name. Let's go Orange!

Redwhiteandmaize is Mike Gundy?

10/12/2013 - 10:10pm I'm normally very positive

I'm not sure if I missed it that someone already mentioned this but...the call that absolutely baffles me is the timeout after the Robinson catch at the 1.  They have the ball at the 1 with 30 seconds left.  I'm thinking they are going to score.  At which point, you're going to have to put a drive together to score.  If Michigan still has that timeout, they don't have to work the sidelines to Hayes for the 52 yarder but could have used the middle of the field to make it a MUCH more makeable 45 yarder (Gibbons' kick would have been good from there).  As Michigan drove down for that FG at the end of the 4th, I couldn't help but think, over and over again, man that timeout would be nice to have right now.

I think you broke the Caps Lock.

I love lamp

09/28/2013 - 8:45pm Newhall Hart is a pretty good football school

I knew Matt Moore (former UCLA and Oregon State and current NFL backup) had gone there, but also former first round draft pick Kyle Boller. Of note Wikipedia reveals that Zack Morris went there as well and not Bayside.

09/28/2013 - 4:33pm Spoke too soon

They just compared Tommy Rees to Peyton Manning. I guess that's a fair comparison (says no one who knows anything about football).

09/08/2013 - 9:50am You remember incorrectly

Heath Shuler wore 21 at Tennessee. Also former Lions QB Stoney Case wore 25 at New Mexico

Where do you find a dog with no legs?

Right where you left him

05/24/2013 - 1:46pm Not so fast my friend

I think you're underestimating the Syracuse horse in the KJ Williams race.  First off, his cousin is an already committed quarterback.  Also, he "hails" from the same high school as current 'Cuse WR Jarrod West and they have a pretty good relationship.

05/03/2013 - 10:38am You sit on a throne of lies

05/01/2013 - 11:03pm Am I the only one?

Does anyone else really want Jamez Brickhouse just based off the name alone or is it just me? Anyone? Anyone?

04/29/2013 - 9:16pm Last time I checked

I'm pretty sure the Heisman favorite is in College Station not Columbus

04/17/2013 - 9:18pm Kind of a pet peeve of mine

But Adrian Peterson's nickname is actually AD not AP. It stands for All Day because his mother said he used to run around "All Day". You may now return to your regularly scheduled program.

03/12/2013 - 6:16pm Somebody

Get that guy a Team 136 t-shirt!

03/08/2013 - 12:25pm For what it's worth

I live in San Antonio, about two and a half hours from College Station.  Granted, I'm in the military, but I did an informal poll at work.  A little less than half of the people knew who Denard was, about a quarter of them knew who Swope was.  Everyone who knew who Swope was knew who Denard was.  Even a couple A&M grads couldn't tell me who Swope was.

02/18/2013 - 10:52pm Rich get richer

This is a guy who should have been getting a raise at FIU. Great hire for Bama.

02/17/2013 - 1:07am Texas

As a Texas resident, I feel A&M falls into this category. It may change a little now that they're in the SEC but most seem more concerned about UT rather than how their team is doing. A lot of them even have logos on their truck windows of a longhorn with his horns "sawed off". Meanwhile Texas seems more concerned about Oklahoma (kind of like UM with Ohio).

02/12/2013 - 12:24pm I always forget...

Is it i before e except after c? Wait, it's gotta be your bull.

02/07/2013 - 1:20pm Good thing you're the expert

Hand has Michigan in his Top 5 and lists Hoke and co. as his favorite coaching staff. So while its far from a sure thing there's reason to believe its a possibility. Maybe you shouldn't so matter of factly dismiss the notions of other people unless you have some sort of insider info that apparently no one else knows. Maybe you could start realizing that

02/04/2013 - 10:38am Texas

Hopkins is from the Dallas area. Stonum Troy Woolfolk and Terrence Robinson are from the Houston area

02/04/2013 - 10:12am Nothing beats an astronaut

I loved it because it was so random. My bud who went to spacecamp thought it was the best thing ever. He is my only friend that went to Spacecamp I promise.

02/03/2013 - 3:07pm OOOOklahoma Oklahoma Oklahoma

The state of Oklahoma is really deep at QB this year. Between Cornwell, Key (mentioned in the article) and Justice Hansen of Edmond Santa Fe, OU has a number of targets. Since Hansen already holds an OU offer and is being recruited by Josh Heupel, that leads me to believe he's their favorite.

Edit: my bad, DGDestroys has the same info later on in the post

02/01/2013 - 2:43pm For Troy

Your Spartan buddy can say what he wants about MSU's recruiting but when it comes down to it, they would want the much higher rated players. Like every other school, MSU doesn't get every player that they wanted and it turns out that some players will out play their ratings and others will underachieve. I have little to no doubt that Dantonio would have taken Dillon Baxter or Lache Seastrunk or even Austin White above Bell but, luckily for them, none of those guys wanted to go to EL so they were left with Leveon. Your buddy can say what he wants about his coaching staff but when it comes down to it, even a blind squirrel can find a nut.

01/31/2013 - 3:10pm I know him, I know him

Hey I know that guy. That's Rabbit21!
