I am bringing my 8 year old…

I am bringing my 8 year old son to his first Michigan game and first Big House experience vs Army. It's been a while since I have been to a game and would like suggestions on what I need to do with him. Where and when can you catch the team coming off the bus? Marching band playing before the game outside the stadium? We will get in midday Friday, so we will be around all weekend. All suggestions are welcome! Thanks and HAIL!

Devin Gardner Redshirt or no? What would be the ideal situation? What situation is the best for our team? From a fan's standpoint, do we want to see Devin redshirted? Or play? If he does redshirt, what are our options at QB is Tate isn't playing well, or gets injured. Does anybody see Denard progressing to the point where he could be a serviceable back up qb? If he does redshirt, does anybody know how many times the number 1 quarterback has redshirted in recent history? I think there are good points for either side of the arguement. Obviously if Tate takes a big step forward in the off season, then he will be ahead of where a true freshman would. This will be especially true if Devin doesn't enroll early. So as Michigan fans, what do we want to see Devin do? If we had a backup other than denard, they could move denard to a different position where he could make more plays and create. Let me know what you guys think we should hope for Devin to do.
7193 seats!?! Haha. Man. GVSU holds like 12,000.
wow...cocky are we.. My point was i was asking if he was injured? He is the best blocker we have...He should have been in if he was healthy. Of course it doesn't change the out come. I wasn't questioning the coaching. I was concerned that our best player was injured again.
My high school mascot... Was an Eskimo! Only, they spell it Eskymo! What are they going to do...nose kiss you to death! I was watching the game with friends on Saturday night. We were talking about this exact topic... My buddy said that the PSU mascot looks like a dude in pajamas with a tail. So true. That mascot is Pathetic.
I understand your concern.. But... our lines should Completely dominate their lines. I haven't really looked, but i know that Del St has a pretty crappy record in their Own division. This isn't a case like App St.. We should literally be able to tell them we will run the ball off tackle on every play, and still get 5+ per carry. I'm sure emu could physically dominate this Del St team. Michigan ran wild in that game. Michael Shaw and Carlos Brown's speed can not be contained by a 1AA team.
Brandon Minor Toward the end of the game? I thought that Minor should have been in there on Michigan's last td drive... When Robinson eventually ran it in for the TD. My friends and I watching the game really wanted some Minor Rage in there to punch it in. Did he get banged up at the end of the game? Was he in the play on that particular TD?
I think Rain and Snow slow us down... I think bad weather (ie rain or snow) hinders our offense more than any defense can. We are using speedy little fellas that rely on their speed and agility to make plays. A team that hammers the ball up the middle and doesn't rely on players speed won't be affected as much by rain or snow. In my opinion, rain and snow will bring any 'speed' team down a notch. I don't believe the cold affects the Florida kids like some people seem to think. But I do think bad weather is more of a factor for 'speed' teams compared with the traditional Bo and woody teams.
They should rest Mr. Forcier They should definitely let him get healthy. There is no reason to play him against a cupcake team like Del St.. They are going to run wild against an inferior team. So let D get all the reps in practice this week, and let him play the whole game. It will be good for his progression. He needs a full week to run the first team and get a game to develop. We definitely need to hope for 2 weeks of rest for Tate before psu.
agreed I agree with that... Let Tate get healthy for two weeks until we get psu... We don't need him against Del St. The running backs should go nuts like they did against EMU... Those speedy little fellas will always dominate in a game against cupcake opponents. I agree it would be nice to let Denard practice the entire week, and get an entire game to see what he can do. That should help him in the upcoming games.
i am in no way blaming the loss on robinson. i have nothing but love for the kid. He's just not a kid i want in the game in the 4th quarter against the 12th ranked team in the nation with the game on the line. I obviously can't say Tate could have led the drive to get them within 2...I just think to have the best shot at winning, he should have been in there the last drive. Its just my opinion... I believe you have to put your best team out there, I don't think that having D-rob at qb with a time sensitive game on the line is the best option.
ha, its all good Ha, i enjoy your humor.. I appreciate your post trying to talk some of us down. I just feel we were out-coached in the msu game..and feel he blew this game as well... i can't imagine anyone would have called for DR is tate would have pissed the game away as some people are saying out there. But good post none the less. Thank Blueseoul
oh stop with the fair weather oh stop with the fair weather fan...i've watched every game for the last 20 years of my 27 year life.. I know field position is important, but its hardly something to be happy about. The kid is gone soon. Its not like we have 3 more years of this kid...Or, if say we were talking about a fg kicker, that we would have 2 more years of clutch fg kicking. Sure the field position helps, but if you don't take advantage of that, and play your playmakers, there is no point. Don't bring the fair weather card with me because i'm pissed about a game we should have won. The kids deserved this one and bad coaching decisions deprived them. You're not teaching Tate a lesson here. He's your future, you let him ride it out. I'm not beating up on my team. I'm beating up on a bad decision. Name one good reason to back this decision. The kid played bad? So sit him? Let him redeem himself..He did it against Indiana and State... Granted he threw the int in OT...But it doesn't matter...Freshman make mistakes. Denard will never be a starting qb... Teaching tate a lesson isn't worth risking the W.
oh, and your number 1 reason to be happy... is our Punter?...duuuude. Seriously. He has 6 or 7 games left...nothing to be excited about
doesn't it piss you guys off doesn't it piss you guys off that we had a chance to win a game we were in a game we were supposedly suppose to lose? we played like shit in the state game... i'm not pissed about that...but i am about this one. you can't play a guy that has failed to throw a pass more than 15 yards with any accuracy... its not acceptable. i don't care how bad tate played.... he's your man...ride him where he has thrived.... it doesn' make sense, but this is where he has proved he can do it...he's a cocky ass freshmen..we know.. but let him be in the position where he has thrived... i just hate this decision.
minor is healthy? At the presser they said Minor the best he's been since camp...so he's not really limited this week? is he?
Haha.. That is so passive Haha.. That is so passive agressive, I Love it.
based solely on saturdays on the field... I can't imagine anybody doesn't respect osu more than msu when it comes to playing on the football field. It's obvious. MSU doesn't win anything...OSU wins big 10 titles. When was the last big10 title for msu?... Based soley on football...i would have msu below osu, psu, nd, iowa most seasons and wisconsin. MSU always talks a big game early in the season, then they fold as they do every season. You can't respect a football team that can't win a big game and folds year after year.
stupid little brother.... I laughed when the original poster said he had to say that he got a degree from Michigan...That always pisses me off..Stupid msu douche bags... Just because i didn't go to a school, i can't be a fan? I'm 27 years old... I have been watching Michigan football nearly all of my life. A good 20 years or so of watching Every single football game Michigan has played. I go to a couple games a year. My room growing up was filled with winged helmets, maize and blue, and dreams of going to see a game in the big house. (i grew up about 8 hours from Ann Arbor)... So 20 good years of watching Michigan every saturday...buuut. i didn't attend Michigan, so i'm not a fan? Or i'm not allowed to be a fan. Go F yourself. Hail to the Victors!
any msu blogs? that aren't written by f'n d-bags? i would like to get some perspective from the other side...but i dont' want to read some crap written buy a dude that refers to us as scUM...how about something that is like mgoblog, where they don't consistently rip on UofM... thanks guys
