Doom squirrel... that's good stuff

Cowherd is covering it at the top of the hour.

04/28/2018 - 11:42am Coons?

When raccoons tried to get on our back porch, momma just chase em off with a broom.

04/27/2018 - 12:08pm Huh?

Have I ever been in a real fight?  Yeah, several before I realized how pointless it was.  I'm not exactly sure how you came to the conclusion that I would be totally ignorant to the emotional impact of a fight based on my comment.  What does your race have to do with your argument? I'm a firm believer that what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart.  As I've posted elsewhere on this thread, I think there are degrees of racism.  In Reschke's case, what he said was racist and the inclination to use the term he did doesn't just come from nowhere.  He's probably not a racist in that he attends klan meetings, but that doesn't mean he's entirely free from racist thought.

04/26/2018 - 11:01am You're right

I misspoke and used prejudice in place of discrimination. Thanks for helping clarify.

04/26/2018 - 10:18am Spectrum

I agree that there is a spectrum of racism. Clearly there's no moral justification for racism, but lumping Neo-Nazis in the same group as granny who, with no malice, refers to the family next door as colored is pretty ridiculous. People have all sorts of biases in addition to racism that have little to no bearing on their interactions with others. Racism, sexism, ethnocentricism, etc. becomes problematic when it manifests itself as prejudice. Acting upon biases is the real issue that can be addressed. I'm not sure it's possible to root out all forms of bias in every person. I do, however, think that if a person can recognize and put their biases aside in actions, they shouldn't be defined as racist.

04/26/2018 - 9:51am Lost control?

If he lost control of his emotions and used that word, wouldn't that mean he is racist and controls it?

04/22/2018 - 1:44am LSU

LSU sits smack dab in a who's who of talented high school players. Aside from the Landon Collinses of Louisiana, they'll have talented playmakers we only dreamed of during the last ten years. Yes they're in the SEC West and their record may suffer as a result, but I don't see how they can be as awful as we were. As far as Harbaugh goes, I love that he's our coach, but what exactly have we been bailed out of?

01/14/2018 - 9:45am Thanks

I was hoping I wasn't the only one in the dark on that.

01/10/2018 - 8:59am So much sad

Why must the tag line at the top of the page continue to be true?  I hate that the call was overturned but damnit, it was the right call.  Regardless of all the bs calls we've endured recently, at least this one was right in some manner.  I can't fault Beilein for calling timeout because who wouldn't given the circumstances.  I ask however, does that call get reviewed if he doesn't call timeout?  It didn't seem like the refs were immediately going to the table after the call.  Seems like they didn't have anything to do, so why not check the call.  Fiddle Sticks!!!

12/09/2017 - 4:02pm Wish

All I wanted for my birthday was a few Rebels and an OT. UCLA wasn't the kind I was thinking of but meh, I'll take it.

11/10/2017 - 9:13pm This...

is only a relevant argument in football/developmental sports. Basketball is by and large won or lost by teenagers

10/30/2017 - 7:09pm Yeah well

way to be a dick and cause me to question the sophistication of my sense of humor.

09/13/2017 - 10:30pm Really?

I usually enjoy everyone's commentary and rarely post, but sometimes it seems necessary to point out that some people around this blog are entirely too full of themselves. The responses to the thread are every bit as egalitarian as any of the responses our members post to one of our sparty/bucknut threads. We laugh at the idea of Michigan arrogance being a thing, but damn, some of you don't see just how ridiculous you look when you bite on every tiny opportunity to condemn a population. I'm sure you're all protesting for unity though.

09/13/2017 - 10:17pm Thanks

Regardless of your intentions in posting the thread, it's nice that someone had the wherewithal to recognize that the comments might be a better indicator of the nature of Alabama fans than the poster.

09/04/2017 - 11:43am Ha!

This is good

09/03/2017 - 1:35am Well...

Well since my opinion is exceptionally more relevant than everyone else's...
1. Tarick Black looked like everything we expected/hyped DPJ to be at WR (not saying DPJ isn't what DPJ was expected to be)
2. DPJ was Peppers elusive in returns (yeah yeah there's another thread for that)
3. Speight was Speight (he is what we thought he iswasmightbemaybecouldbeidunno)
4. The white sidelines should be in in golf and football.
5. I bet $1 the RB corp won't piss off too many people
6. Even though Perry was Inspector Gadget sticky hands, what value is he with unsportsmanlikes?

09/03/2017 - 1:13am ?

Fat fingers or alcohol?

08/26/2017 - 10:44am Wookie

Kodi is the platform and there are various "builds" that offer different programming. I use the Wookie build which combines dozens of smaller builds like Covenant (used to be Exodus), Bob, Maverick, UK Turk, etc. There isn't a show or movie that I haven't been able to find. For boxing, the sports section of Bob has everything from live PPV fights (streamed Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan last year) to any other historic fight. I'll be unjustifiably irked if it fails me tonight.

08/25/2017 - 4:48pm Same

Do you use the Bob Sports build?

08/25/2017 - 9:43am Not non-con, but...

I want to see OSU at the beginning of the year.  Given the trend of their team being younger than ours (I know we're young this year), I'd like to get them before they gain a year of experience for The Game.  I love that we play them at the end of the season and how important that matchup always ends up being, but dammit I'd like their constant turnover to bite them against our traditionally more mature team.  Did no research to see if they are normally younger than us.  Maybe is stoopid.

08/22/2017 - 10:44pm You'd be called...

a liar. Does commentary matter that much to everyone? I can think of a word of commentary that ever meant as much as da pictoors ahn da skrean

08/21/2017 - 12:32pm Supervising

I get to spend my time during the eclipse helping supervise hundreds of high school students. We're in one of the best viewing areas in the country (western Kentucky) and decided to make it a learning event instead of taking the day off like most everyone else in the region.  While I think that's kind of cool, I'd much rather be grilling out at the lake than hoping my kids don't do anything too stupid.

08/06/2017 - 5:11pm Vic

Aren't your doubts unreasonable, sir?

08/05/2017 - 7:16pm Thanks

Thanks for posting this in my place. May you receive all that this deserves. I mean that in a good way.

07/22/2017 - 2:37pm Dafuq?

Not sure if brownviper is a douche, a douche ignorant of who you are and trying to be helpful, a douche intentionally grinding an axe, a rival fan douche, a Bolivian immigrant douche trying to get a free ride home, or the ultimate tyrannosaurus douche. Possibly a combination of all of those...

07/15/2017 - 3:36pm 15-0 talent?

We play OSU in the regular season. We don't have a talent advantage in that game. If we win The Game/ B1G and make the playoff, we're looking at teams like Alabama, OSU again, USC, Florida State, or someone who was good enough to beat them. I don't see a talent advantage there either. We have great talent, but 15-0 talent, to me, means we have more than anyone. Just not there yet IMO.

Usually the response to a post like this is simply "Harbaugh!" Yeah, Harbaugh is awesome and will get the best out of our guys, but let's not pretend like Saban, Meyer, Jimbo, etc. are incompetent.

If you meant sufficient talent to go 15-0, I agree. I'd argue, though, that the odds aren't exactly forever in our favor.

06/08/2017 - 10:50pm I hope

I hope he's as good as Pulisic!

06/04/2017 - 3:43pm What?

Who are these "lots of people"? Well, some guy in a bar said he knows a guy that thinks he might be juicing so I'm going to present it as fact. GTF out of here. If there's a shred of evidence that he is then so be it, but this baseless speculation is just absurd. He's arguably the greatest player of his generation and regardless of the juicing era taking place at the very beginning of his career, I don't think anyone has a leg to stand on when questioning the guy's integrity.

04/22/2017 - 9:48am Nice

I'm with XM on this one

03/29/2017 - 10:15pm 1 More Bit

1 more bit of advice...if you're cutting the cord, don't be tentative. That thing's like a garden hose and she can't feel it so cut it like a damn samurai.

03/29/2017 - 10:08pm Support

You serve no purpose in that room other than support. She may/will say incredibly ridiculous things to you and everyone else there. Shrug it all off and be sickeningly supportive. Btw, write that stuff down while it's fresh in your memory because most of that shit is gold.

03/03/2017 - 2:56pm Toughness...

to withstand forklift injuries, but nothing additionally that I can think of.

02/23/2017 - 8:47am HAHAHA

That's good stuff Michrider41.

May conflict with the others a bit, but whatever works

02/01/2017 - 9:33pm Well

I will say this... One of my best friends played for him in Memphis while not getting any financial help to do so. He still speaks very highly of his dedication to each of his players and his willingness to do whatever necessary (no $ involved) to help his guys through anything. I know as well as anyone that players were payed at Ole Miss, but that's not the only reason they were drawn to him. He had pretty good results and it didn't take several years for the non 5 star players to develop.

01/30/2017 - 10:39pm No shame needed

Turned 31 and had my second child within the last month. What else are you gonna do when everyone in the house is constantly sleeping and you've got an enthusiasm unknown to mankind?!

01/27/2017 - 8:55pm Bring em out!

Tired of seeing this crap. If Bama can continuously pull off this garbage, let the damn Ross's of Michigan's alum get to work. It's pretty clear that some schools are playing the game while others are playing with one or two hands tied behind their back. They can get all the Chargers they want. Ours will be outfitted with Bentleys, Astons, and Rovers as freshmen!

01/11/2017 - 11:46pm Ronnie...

while I silently agree with many things you post, I'll audibly (with character input sounds) agree whole-heartedly with this

01/11/2017 - 11:44pm Really!

No need to cheat when a Midnight Madness practice has scouts galore...

01/11/2017 - 11:42pm Sure

Having attended Murray State for a time and seeing first hand what Steve can do with the players he develops, I would love that hire. Wearing a block M on that campus and being asked how to get apparel in that font was always a fun conversation. Had a few classes with his now wife. Let's say the guy must have confidence...

01/07/2017 - 9:04am Bless your heart?

Only lived in Tennessee for 2 years, but have been in western Kentucky the last 10. "Bless your heart" doesn't mean f*@k you. It's more like a sarcastic offering of intellectual pity or at the worst, "What a moron." Working in higher education I say this quite often.

01/06/2017 - 10:34am Not really

If you're around southerners you hear plenty of complaints about the heat and humidity.  They're probably not coming on this blog to tell you about it though.  Sure, southern schools say how cold it is in Michigan.  It's called recruiting.  Just like posters say how terribly racist it is in the South and that a recruit will just be living in antebellum slavery if they go to an SEC school.

I'm in western Kentucky and it's 17* and snowing here...

01/06/2017 - 8:49am Really?

I can't see how this is even a question.  Jabrill for 1 year or Najee for at least 3?  Najee...

01/06/2017 - 8:48am Haha

This gif perfectly displays what we must look like to the outside world.

I appreciate this post as I've always been a little rattled by the disdain for any location outside of Michigan that many posters have exhibited during the time I've followed this blog.  Having lived in Michigan, Illinois, Virginia, Tennessee, and now Kentucky (I can sense the oncoming collective gasp while typing), I don't quite understand the negative sentiments toward other states.  Every state has its positives and negatives.  I've read countless posts offering scathing critiques of various states, especially southern states.  While Tennessee and Kentucky may not be the deep South that those posters are referring to, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the people and culture of these states.  Even though it's not my original home, singing "My Old Kentucky Home" definitely does not make my residence feel inferior.  Go Blue and when they're good, Go Big Blue!

12/31/2016 - 4:20pm Agree

I thought the same about being a Harbaugh type guy. So Harbaugh took on all the bs that came with holding the Prattville camp and ends up with neither Davis nor Johnson? Doesn't make sense.

12/22/2016 - 10:26am HAHA

I like this post. Thanks for sharing.

12/22/2016 - 10:15am WD'S WD?

Should there be a definition added to the mgoblogisms list?

12/21/2016 - 7:00pm !

That's a great letter to open? Where's WD on Najee's?
