EJ has consistently been…

EJ has consistently been calling MVB the better recruit for quite awhile now, it's not anything new. He still says he regards Davis as a top 100-150 prospect, which is in line with where On3 ranks him. Most of EJ's statements about recruit evaluations in this context are in response to questions from message board users on The Fort. As others have stated, EJ is usually more straightforward than Sam Webb and some simply don't like that. Committing a whole half hour to discuss it on a radio show is taking it next level as well.

I feel as if I could write…

I feel as if I could write an essay about this having just finished my MBA, but I'll spare the boredom for everyone and get straight to the point. I had wanted to own for quite awhile and started looking seriously in 2016 before finally getting my finances in decent enough shape to afford the down payment in 2017. Not married or anything so I was mainly looking for an affordable place that I could put some sweat equity into and rent out the rooms in order to cover the mortgage and so forth. What's interesting is that in 2017 Grand Rapids the housing market was considered "hot," I can't imagine what it is right now but it doesn't sound fun at all. I found a great house at the dead end of a neighborhood by train tracks with minimal noise, walkable neighborhood, decent sized backyard, 2 stall garage and pretty great neighbors. Benefits of the house included it being built and owned by one family for close to 60 years, so it had great "bones" so to speak and was right in my wheel house for what I wanted to spend ($160K or so). Found out on day of closing my ex was pregnant and thus began a fun (note the sarcasm) five years of custody battles, roommates, and graduate degree. Regardless, I can't imagine being anywhere else with all the work that's been put into the house with a wide open kitchen, new windows, HVAC, roof, finished basement, redesigned patio, and best of all I have joint physical/legal of my son. All this to say I think that a house is more than just the layout/cosmetics and so forth, but it makes it all the more better when it's a place you want to come home to and spend time at, and as I transition out of my side business/part-time job into a career I am very excited to potentially have a hybrid job and enjoy the fruits of the last 5 years. If i had to move anywhere with Michigan closing I would choose Nashville or somewhere in Tennessee or North Carolina, both great states and have a lot of fun things to do. However, Michigan will always be home.

Perhaps it's just me, but it…

Perhaps it's just me, but it seems like Georgia is consistently wrapping arms around the neck area to make tackles. I thought this was illegal, but perhaps I am missing something?

Mac Jones had pretty much…

Mac Jones had pretty much the exact same numbers last year in Alabama's offense. You could stick any moderately talented college QB in that system and they'd produce similar numbers. Players like Hutchinson and Pickett are what the Heisman should be about, but clearly it is not.

Late to the party, but…

Late to the party, but drinking a Hefeweizen from Cedar Springs Brewing and Big Red Coq from Brewery Vivant.

It's odd seeing a potential…

It's odd seeing a potential 5-Star recruit coming from my HS alma mater since we haven't been good at football in eons. It makes sense that it's down to UM and ND though, since there's a pocket of ND fans in the Port Huron area. If I remember correctly though, McGregor's basketball coach (Jamison) is a UM fan. Hoping he stays home and contributes early and becomes a star.

You, sir, are also…

You, sir, are also delusional if you think UM and Tennessee both have bagmen for the same recruits with Tennessee winning those battles. UM is by far superior both academically and from a football program perspective. Ann Arbor is also a better college town than Knoxville, despite what you may think. The likely explanation is that of the bag man, the myth which surely has basis in fact, as many myths do. Pruitt is a great defensive coach, but you must be joking if you think that players would rather play for a mediocre SEC defense as opposed to one of the proven top defenses in the nation year after year.

I just saw the same thing…

I just saw the same thing. Not sure if we're being trolled or if Dax is trolling Bama. The hopeful idiot in me still hopes for a flip before NSD, but the realistic side says to get a grip. Either way, should be a fun finish to recruiting. The reality remains that in order to compete at a higher level, our coaches are going to have to coach at a higher level which they haven't done in big games so far.

Except he hasn't started to…

Except he hasn't started to get Alabama crystal balls, he is still a heavy Oregon lean. Only one crystal ball is to Alabama while Oregon maintains 70% of the balls.

Also, according to ESPN…

Also, according to ESPN Florida killed us in the 2016 Citrus Bowl, 41-7. What a joke.

Perrin Black

Perrin Black is a great beer, as well as most Right Brain beers.

If you want to try out some great Belgian style beers, try Big Red Coq, Triomphe, or the Undertaker from Brewery Vivant.
