It was okay

In Kalkaska here, laid out on the dock from about 3-3:30 AM and saw maybe 10-15 or so. One was really cool and left a red streak in the sky for around 5 seconds.

Overall the "meteor shower" was OK, nothing spectacular, so don't feel bad if you didn't stay up.

But holy crap was the Milky Way visible last night. That was way more cool than the meteors.

Favorite Website By Far

Your team has turned MGoBlog into my favorite website for the past four years or so now. Even in the offseason I find myself checking at least two or three times a day for new content. I actually pick up a lot of news info from the MGoBoard before outlets like CNN!

Great job, please keep on truckin. I don't know what I would do without all the info you provide!

After last week

The letdown.

Bentley Image Bank

The Bentley rocks for things like this. Have you checked out their image bank? It's open to the public. Just search for "Ann Arbor Main Street" or whatever and all kinds of interesting pictures come up.

Heidelberg

The girlfriend and I went out with some friends last year at Heidelberg. That was actually pretty fun. If you get there between 8-9 you can definitely grab a table (we had a group of about 10).

They passed out hats, kazoo type things, champagne I think, etc.

I know you are being

I know you are being sarcastic, but it really wouldn't surprise me too much if he actually was on MGo, though likely in a "lurker" sense. From his time at Dominoes I am sure Mr Brandon is familiar with the Six Sigma (6S) methodology. One of the main principles of 6S is understanding the "voice of the customer" to ensure product/project quality.

MGoBlog provides a unique live look into the fan base that would be difficult to pass up as the de facto CEO of Michigan athletics.

Goodness gracious those time

Goodness gracious those timepieces are beautiful, but when a web site doesn't list the price, you know you can't afford it.

:(

Co-op

I think what people also miss is that the Co-op program is very popular at Purdue. Similar to a University of Cincinnati or a Kettering University, the engineering students alternate work and class rotations.

So a not insignificant portion of the student body isn't in town at any given time.

This was discussed on Reddit also. User "Spicy_TWatkins" provides some interesting insight:

40 yard times are measured off of the runners start not the runner reacting to a gun. Bolt had a reaction time in that race of 0.146s, so subtracting that off you get to a 40 yard dash time of about 4.05s.

...

Just looked at Denard's profile on Michigan's track team's website and his 60m PB is 6.81s, Bolt ran the first 60m in Bejing and Berlin in 6.155 and 6.161, respectively. In less then 24m Bolt wouldn't be able to make up 0.6s on Denard, he would have to already be well ahead at 36.576m (40yds).

Is it just me or does Denard

Is it just me or does Denard sound a lot better in his interviews? I wonder if it's something that he's been working on. The past few seasons, while his smile was infectious, he sounded shaky at times and not quite sure what to say next.

His increasing mastery of coachspeak will do him well in next years draft interviews.

This thread had way more

This thread had way more drama than I was expecting from the O.P.

I like the idea, not so much the presentation.

Superdome Virtual Seating

This was posted a few weeks ago, I'll pass it along for those that didn't see it. You can click on your seats and get a virtual view of what it will look like.

You're thinking of the

You're thinking of the AP/Coaches polls. Those come out with the Sunday papers.

Then those factor into the BCS rankings, which are released on ESPN at 8:00 Sunday nights.

Colin: Health issues? That's a ton of hours.

Hoke: I'm very fortunate. My wife helps, she's a blessing. You've got to keep it in perspective and help the kids grow, but you have to make sure the coaches keep getting time with their families.

Colin: Do you look at OSU differently with Urban instead of Tressel?

Hoke: We'll always have great respect for OHIO.

Colin: Rematch LSU v Bama? What do you think about rematches?

Hoke: You'll see it here in the B1G with Ohio and us on opposite divisions. It's exciting and the landscape continues to change. Everyone has so much passion.

Colin: Night gamez. Moar plz.

Hoke: Generic coachspeak.

Colin: Urban Meyer! What

I personally think Walmart

I personally think Walmart has some pretty good deals on UM merchandise. Very affordable for those of us that can't afford a $50 polo from M-Den....yet.

I pray for unbridled chaose

I pray for unbridled chaos in the BCS. I want every single game to be an upset. The rest of the world needs to feel my pain.

And then I turn off all the halftime shows so I don't have to watch our low-lights.

That really does suck for

That really does suck for Wisconsin that the B1G is so down this year. If they go undefeated and don't go to the BCS championship game...mega bummer.

Kindle?

Question for Brian, John, or someone else who has seen the book - are there extensive graphs/charts/a need for an actual physical copy? I'd prefer to buy the Kindle version, but I've found e-books aren't great when you need to flip back and forth between charts and text.

I see that John did say he cut out all photographs, so that's why I'm wondering.

Can't wait to read it!

What's with Cutler's goofy

What's with Cutler's goofy footwork out of under-center? I've never seen a QB run straight backwards in a pass drop - usually they are running sidewaysish.

I know the pictured uniforms

I know the pictured uniforms are supposed to be tounge-in-cheek, but those are actually really cool. It works equally well as a U-M fan desktop or a MSU fan desktop.

I was thinking Vegas too, but

I was thinking Vegas too, but it sounds like they've tried before and there are too many politics to push a real bid through:

The board of Las Vegas Events, which organizes and promotes such wide-ranging and profitable Vegas events as the National Finals Rodeo and NASCAR Weekend, is filled with resort officials who have skin in the arena game. Aria President and Chief Operating Officer Bill McBeath is joined on the LVE board by Caesars Entertainment Western Division President Tom Jenkin, Gaughan and Palms owner George Maloof.
