Keep mattison and Nuss, just get rid of everybody else above and below them. Nuss needs more than a year, mattison has good relations with the harbaugh clan (if he is the hire) get all new assistants, line coach rb coach etc.
Considering that the CEO pf the 49ers aplogized for his teams lack of scoring and over all piss poor performance on Thanksgiving night. The offer needs to be made for Jimmy if Hackett going to pursue him, the time is right while "the iron is hot", because we all know Jimmy is not returning to San Fran next year. But he won't talk as long as Hoke is still the coach, so they gotta move fast for the sake of the existing program and the recruitment spiral.
I would have like to see Speight also, he was highly ranked here in VA. But, I also understand the redshirt. But agree, gotta see who is better coming in next year. Also have to keep Malzone committed.
Rich Rod is wiining at Arizona because he is getting the support he needs to win, something he didn't get in Ann Arbor. He gets the support and the players. He got the players to Michigan but again no support. Hoke took over Rodriguez's team and won 11, then the graduations started and less wins the next two years. This is the first year with all of his recruits (minus Gardner) and "Hoke's" team. We see how that's going....
I agree with you on the talent...Michigan has plenty of talent and Hoke can recruit it, the problem is the current staff can't coach it to the next level. They are getting four and five star players and coaching them into two and three star. whereas dow the road in green land, they were busy recruiting two and three ann making them four and five star players. Good group, just not coached right.
Kick Carr (twice), Punch Brandon all the way out the door and then Slap Rodriguez for bringing Greg Robinson as defensive coordinator for the opposition when we had the ball.
What really happened to RR except that the team got better each year and he wasn't given a real chance? RR was a defensive coordinator away from putting Michigan back on top. We know that he knows how to score points, they just couldn't stop anybody. We score 50 they score 51... If they would have fired G Robinson and got a real coordinator things would have been differant. That is an A.D. blunder.
