Unfortunately I listen to him too and the mental gymnastics required for him to say we knew their plays but were at times losing is astounding to me. He claims to be objective because he will rip his alma mater, but it's the fact that is alma mater is what it is, is why he can not be objective when it comes to UM.
That's not too horrible. The loss hurts and obviously puts Michigan in a dire position in the division race, but all is not lost with 3 rivalry games left. It's onward to ND.

Exactly. A 3 man front will never cut it against Wisconsin. It doesn't matter if it's goal line or not. It just doesn't work against what they want to do.
Mattison and washington are smaller losses than Urban, for sure. Sucks to lose them to your rival though. Time to stop the bleeding and make some big hires.

And I want it to be as clear as possible that we are doing this on purpose. Start Ladarius Jefferson...at QB. Bench the entire OL from the Maryland game. Start all the seniors, even the walkons. Punt on third down. Only call jet sweeps to the short side of the field. Throw the ball to Matt Sokol. Just basically drive it home to the entire country that we are doing this out of pure spite.
Because at the end of the day nobody will remember a 7 or 8 win MSU team winning a close game against tOSU. But everyone will remember the time MSU cucked scUM from the natty out of pure spite."
The offense played a poor game. Speight played a bad game and this may just be who he is, a mediocre quarterback who is streaky and can hit some throws accurately, and will also miss a lot of throws he should make. I think he plays over Peters because of his command and understanding of the offense as well as decision making (not necessarily execution in games).
The defense was hit and miss. The drive to open the second half wasn't good and they gave up too many third down conversions, but overall played pretty well. The two pick sixes were nice and it's good to see the secondary play decently.
We will continue to improve. The Oline needs to get better. The QB play needs to be better. The execution MUST be better no matter what. Today was sloppy, but we won.
It's been a great week of content thanks to all the writers here. I like so many other UM football junkies have enjoyed it to no end. I think we have a good to great year. Youth will be served. We will beat UF. We will beat MSU. We will beat an overrated PSU team in happy valley. Camp randall will be toughbut, they wont have enough offense; we will beat UW in Madison. It will come down to that Saturday in November, like it should. This may be our time, it may not be. It has been a long 15 years. All i know is that I will be there, cheering this team on to what i hope is a victory and birth in the big ten championship game!
He was one of the most exciting players in recent memory. The type of player that you got out of your seat every time he touched the ball. This departure, though unfortunate from a selfish stand point, is completely understandable, expected, and the right decision for him and his family. I wish him the best and know he will tear it up on Sundays.
I was at the game on Saturday and the Rutgers fans only insults (aside from casual racism from a couple fans to which other Rutgers fans apologized for) were that we were going to lose to OSU. It was extremely entertaining when halfway through the second quarter people were leaving for the bar.
My favorite was a couple who left with 3:46 to go after we went up 78-0. I said to them, "Wait, so you've stayed this entire time only to leave with just over three minutes left?!"
The speech that Rich Eisen gave was so powerful it gave me goosebumps. That is what Michigan is about. I bleed blue like everyone being born and raised in A2 and then attending and graduating from our beloved university and that kind of speech is gold.
A couple of strip sacks AND a defensive TD in a game? It's relatively rare for one strip sack in a game let alone a couple, let alone a couple AND a defensive TD.
Get a grip on yourself. I understand the concern to an extent but not anywhere close to that. Just breathe.

2. I think the situation is unfortunate for all involved, and I wish him the best. It is my personal feeling that he probably did not want to read the writing that has been on the wall for a while.
3. I played left tackle; yes, he has the size, but for a kid his size, he does not seem very powerful. In addition, his pass blocking technique is subpar at best and he does not have good feet.
4. Instead of, "I ask that you respect my family and I during this time," it should be, "my family and me."
