Kind of feel like this is why finesse spread offenses can't win games. If there was ever a situation for a big dude who can churn out half a yard that was it.

06/09/2013 - 11:44am The rest of the Big Ten is terrible at recruiting

I'm not sure if we'll ever figure out why schools like Wisconsin and Michigan State can't recruit better despite years of unprecedented success.

04/30/2013 - 10:15pm In an alternate universe

In an alternate universe where basketball is never invented, WRs would probably be 6'5" - 6'8" and LeBron James would be the most dominant receiver in the NFL. The problem is that most high school athletes who are fast, athletic, and 6'4" or taller would much rather play a sport with higher compensation and less risk of injury.

04/19/2013 - 4:27pm Serious Question

Why did the Boston bombings affect you more than, say, the Newton school shootings?

Sleeper cell? I think you've been reading too many Brad Thor novels. Most likely these are people who know the suspects, but are not involved in their plot.

I don't think Brandon Roy was a 7 footer.

04/16/2013 - 10:58pm Let's be honest. The last

Let's be honest. The last thing Michigan fans should want is Burke getting drafted by Detroit. And I say this as a lifelong Pistons fan.

04/03/2013 - 10:41pm I don't know. Andrew Wiggins

I don't know. Andrew Wiggins could play for pretty much any Division I school in the country and still be a high lottery pick. Obviously, scouts would like to see how he matches up against the best competition possible, but that doesn't require going to Kentucky, or any traditional basketball power for that matter.

03/27/2013 - 6:41pm It's unfortunate that Vegas

It's unfortunate that Vegas isn't buying into this hype, or else I could make a killing betting against Michigan and take some of the sting of losing away at the same time.

03/25/2013 - 9:25am Go Maroons!

Too bad their old stadium is probably still radioactive.

EDIT: Almost forgot - I think it's a rhyme.

01/05/2013 - 10:32am That's right. Kelly's system

That's right. Kelly's system at Oregon is known for its dominant O lines. Plus, nobody in their right mind would take Michael Vick at 33 over the sprightly 29 year old Weeden. Honestly, who looks at Vick and thinks "spread QB" ?

12/24/2012 - 11:03am I'll settle for Michigan

I'll settle for Michigan winning a Rose Bowl. BTW, is anyone else suprised to learn that the last time that happened Barry Sanders had just played his last season in the NFL?

12/23/2012 - 7:09pm Well, he made the Rose Bowl

Well, he made the Rose Bowl when USC was an utter mess due to sanctions, lost miserably in one of his Rose Bowls, and will only win this year because the best team in the B1G is ineligible.

His team was pretty well beat by an Auburn team composed of Nick Fairley, Cam Newton, and a bunch of guys who only won 8 games the next year.

Under his tenure, the Ducks have made a habit of dropping marquee games, like LSU and USC last year and Stanford this year.

Yeah, I'd say that doesn't cut it.

Hard to improve from the end of the bench.

12/17/2012 - 12:50am By staying another year and

By staying another year and getting drafted higher Morris would have improved more as a player. All the evidence suggests that it's better to get drafted by a terrible team where you can play under the radar and get minutes without a ton of pressure to win immediately. Early playing time solves a lot of problems, and a few years down the line the big contracts will follow for a good player on a bad team.

12/16/2012 - 6:47pm Yeah, because that advice

Yeah, because that advice really worked for the Lions over the last decade.
