The really interesting thing to me is that Harbaugh seems to have missed the countercultural-ness of Ann Arbor. To him, A2 of the 70s was like the Leave it to Beaver cul-de-sac.
I find what he didn't seem to register as interesting as what he does remember.
The problem is that coaches also preach values like teamwork, fidelity, and acting honorably, things most of us in the working world don't necessarily have to embody 24/7.
Having played on two state title MCC teams, this is how all of them have been won - our 12th state title overall, I believe.
Those were two potent offenses shut down by two skilled defenses. It was a beauty to watch, especially considering which team took the title. It was MCC's third straight.
Brian didn't try to call and talk with them (just him?) before calling them out?
In some of the circles I run with, that might be considered bad form. But, I have no idea of the deeper context of their relationship - Lost Lettermen could be a shit site that doesn't deserve a chance to respond (See that puddle of filth, TMZ).

But, this is the kind of thing that happens to the places from your past...they decay and fall apart.

Can you conceive of two people - Sharp and Harbaugh - more diametrically opposed in life approach? The chasm is a wonder to behold.

I can confirm the statue is modeled after an actual person.
Whether or not that statue even remotely resembles Magic, though, is up for debate.
I suspect the statue was modeled (as a composite) after several African-American gentlemen living on the MSU campus sometime in the late 70s.
