I'd say it was the win over ranked Wisconsin, during RR's first season.

Please realize that the

Please realize that the lighting and camera equipment found in our jails often are the pits - hence, the obligitory bad mug shot photo.

The lighting in this photo seems a tad harsh...

Jones's theory is that

Jones's theory is that Harbaugh will make MSU and OSU work harder to defeat Michigan.

Ah yes, the old Michigan-should-have-hired-low-so-no-one-could-have-see-them-coming strategy.

so stupid...

Gram Grams

My gram grams has some thoughts on Michigan's 2016 football season...but you'll need to plow through 10 hours of Super 8 film to find it.

And he clearly was a grown

And he clearly was a grown man in his late 20s.

It was gross, but we didn't really think about it back then. Cool dudz did what they wanted.

But, what of the longhairs?

Awesome account of Harbaugh's youth in Ann Arbor. Sounds a lot like mine across the state, in Muskegon.

The really interesting thing to me is that Harbaugh seems to have missed the countercultural-ness of Ann Arbor. To him, A2 of the 70s was like the Leave it to Beaver cul-de-sac.

I find what he didn't seem to register as interesting as what he does remember.

I'll be the bagman....
but

I'll be the bagman....
but only if you're the walrus.

Goo goo g' joob, and so forth

disturbing as hell

Great chasm

Can you conceive of two people - Sharp and Harbaugh - more diametrically opposed in life approach? The chasm is a wonder to behold.

Problem, though

The problem is that coaches also preach values like teamwork, fidelity, and acting honorably, things most of us in the working world don't necessarily have to embody 24/7.

Many

Give me many Tony Orlandos...

testies

Wouldn't that indicate these maize-sacked fellows have trouble producing testosterone?

On top of that, they'd have great difficulty producing offspring - no more legacy players.

Book it

Put it in the book.

Where's the book?

Has anybody seen the book?

How it's done

Having played on two state title MCC teams, this is how all of them have been won - our 12th state title overall, I believe.

Those were two potent offenses shut down by two skilled defenses. It was a beauty to watch, especially considering which team took the title. It was MCC's third straight.

Noticed

I noticed that as well.

It's funny how some things work out like that.

Lurking

I've been lurking over there tonight.

It's been a good time.

Or

Or perhaps officiating is incredibly difficult.

(it is)

Boss

We just won that game like a boss.

Minnesota = "Indiana on Ketamine strikes again."

Classic

Brock Huard

He was really good today.

you

You guess?

oh

oh, that's good

That

That is just about the saddest thing ever.

Once

I was once an impressive leaper, but now I can't jump as high.

Obviously, something's up with gravity.

Mistakes were made

Love

I just love how they are all: '7. Screw it. Pick a number.'

Scene: Inside a coach's office

"Your name's McDoom, huh?" he said flatly.
"I'll believe that when I see it."

You know a bit of clapping

You know a bit of clapping would be in there...

Sounds

That sounds nice.

Are the trolls really turning this into a thing?

So wait... Brian didn't try

So wait...

Brian didn't try to call and talk with them (just him?) before calling them out?

In some of the circles I run with, that might be considered bad form. But, I have no idea of the deeper context of their relationship - Lost Lettermen could be a shit site that doesn't deserve a chance to respond (See that puddle of filth, TMZ).

I'll shut up now.

Little girls are often

Little girls are often tougher than little boys.

Just saying...

My goodness, I almost tweeted

My goodness, I almost tweeted some words of encouragement to him.

Yeah, that's what he needs right now: a white guy in his 40s, a 2002 grad, living in Muskegon, tweeting him lame, trite sayings - solving nothing.

Or maybe that's EXACTLY what he needs?

I guess I'll just leave him alone.

^

Bingo.

The demorilizing, endless TsFL; the WAY Gardner was getting slaughtered week after week; M00N!!!!!!!!!.

It just made watching the 2013 and 14 teams a huge bummer.

I can confirm the statue is

I can confirm the statue is modeled after an actual person.

Whether or not that statue even remotely resembles Magic, though, is up for debate.

I suspect the statue was modeled (as a composite) after several African-American gentlemen living on the MSU campus sometime in the late 70s.

Things were different back then.

And his consistent use of

And his consistent use of idioms and homespun-isms.

This week - "ear to the railroad track..."

A few weeks ago -"...the hay's not in the barn."

This isn't something he can plan out in advance. This is how the man thinks.

The rest of is are just a bunch of pretenders.

You did it...

You did it, so we don't have to.

Not that there's anything

Not that there's anything 'wrong' with that.

^ This, 100 percent.

I don't care if those plates

I don't care if those plates are pure foam...

That was impressive.

I was in total warrior pose

I was in total warrior pose after Smith's run, but silent as a monk  - my daughter just had her tonsils removed and was napping in the next room.

Let me tell you, it's way more badass when you do it in silence.

Sure, but only if all the

Sure, but only if all the women involved get to sit back and judge your appearance for a few minutes.

Then the "chubby" one will slap you in the head, and the "slutty" one will poke you in the eyes.

Quotes contrast

“Nonetheless, the team’s medical professionals felt strongly then, and still do now, that they had gotten it right, throughout.

But, Schmidt advised Morris, “Don’t you get yourself into trouble over this. All we ask is that you tell the truth. Let them deal with the rest—including us.””

versus

“True, that night Morris would sign the HIPAA release form, allowing Michigan to share the relevant medical information. But since Morris would do so in the presence of the athletic director and two lawyers Brandon had brought in, without his father, his coaches, or the team doctors present, the medical staff had misgivings.

“What’s he going to do,” one asked me, “not sign it, with his coach’s boss, and two lawyers, telling him he should?””

Such a dizzying contrast in character…

Don't count chickens when all

Don't count chickens when all you got are eggs.

^My god, that's the best

^My god, that's the best thing ever.

I played in (and won) two

I played in (and won) two MHSAA state football titles there, saw the Lions and Pistons play there, and watched Metallica, Guns and Roses AND Faith No More on the Monsters of Rock tour.

But, this is the kind of thing that happens to the places from your past...they decay and fall apart.
