About 10 years I was climbing up Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa wearing an M shirt. At some point I was passed by a group of Semester at Sea kids and one of them gave me a "GoBlue". One her classmates asked why she would say that since she went to Indiana. She responded "hey, it's the Big 10"
My work schedule makes weeknight games a non-starter, I could only make it through the first half of the Purdue game but the one game I have been to(the December stinker against Minnesota) was a lousy experience; cramped seating with lousy leg room(and I'm short), and annoying game production. I feel the PA announcer does his schtick intentionally to get under my skin. I'm not sure which is worse, his over the top bombast when UM hits a 3 or his condescension when an opposing player scores. I really am too young to be an old coot.
The locker rooms at the stadium aren't going to be fancy, they only get used on game day. It's likely the ones that get all the publicity are in the football buildings that players use everyday.
The 1995 Biakabatuka game. The student section was still throwing marshmallows back then and there were OSU fans mixed in. At one point some Buckeye schmuck stood up and threatened everyone around him with an ass whooping if he got hit one more time. He was then mercilessly pelted by all around him, including some other OSU fans.
I can't believe that no one has pointed out that he lists having sung "take me out to the ball game" at a Cubs game on his CV under "Lectures and Presentations."
NC State in 1983 and Uconn in 2011 were both bubble teams at the start of the conference tourneys who used the auto bid to go all the way and win the national title.
I can't speak about the golf course but I think the lot at Pioneer might be getting close. My father, a season ticket holder for 24 years and an emeritus professor, lost his pass in the Pioneer lot for this season because he doesn't have enough points. He had to buy a pass through the Ann Arbor School District but I'm sure it will be a longer walk for a 75 year old man with a bad knee and hip. He(like many others) is getting close to scrapping things and just watching from home.
What is the tipping point that sees sizable chunks of empty seats? It won't happen for the big games but I can see it for some of the non-conference ones.

CBS's website doesn't let you view from outside the US. the question now is do i stay up till 3am South Africa time or go to sleep and then get up. either way, there's no way i'm not watching this live.
been down here since mid-December and the only other games I caught were radio calls of the Wisconsin and Ohio St losses so if this one didn't end well i may just have quit trying for the rest of the season.

i'm pretty sure this is the same game that he calle Mark Messner "the bell cow of the Michigan defense", still my personal favorite.
