If Juwan Howard is the head…

If Juwan Howard is the head coach for another season or more, the consecutive loss record is well within reach. He is definitely proving that he’s the guy for the job if Michigan will ever capture such an exercise in futility. I can’t think of another coach more qualified for the position if that is indeed the case. Who else could have torpedoed a program that was a National Championship contender faster and with more humility than the prodigal son himself. Then he can repeat his comment he made as a fab five player “I told you we were going to shock the world”

Of course Will Johnson is…

Of course Will Johnson is staying. He’s been a Michigan Man since he was a Michigan boy. He was pretty much a lock to attend the University of Michigan since middle school. He never wavered in his commitment and has always been a great student, leader, and a great football player. If there were more kids like him I think a lot of coaches wouldn’t be trying their hardest to get out college football. Will Johnson is a great kid and a perfect example of what you want in a football player. He is a guy that does everything for the benefit of the team. Will Johnson will go down as one of the best players on the best team Michigan has put on the field since’97.You could definitely make an argument for Peppers but to me he was just more of a pure athlete that could play anywhere on the field. If Johnson is lucky enough to stay healthy, he definitely has the talent to wear a gold jacket and have a bust one day in Canton. Will Johnson is probably one of the top 3 CB’s I’ve seen put on the winged helmet in my life, with the other two being Charles Woodson and Ty Law. When they talk about guys being “Michigan Men” Will Johnson is the exact type of guy they are referring to.

Saying guys that mature…

Saying guys that mature early end up being busts is a lazy take. Greg Oden had an opioid addiction which contributed to his downfall. Leonard Fournette was 6’ 210lbs in high school and he was terrible at LSU. He only ran for 3,800 yards and 40 TD’s in 31 games. He also won a Super Bowl on a team where he was a huge part of their success. He earned the nickname “Playoff Lenny” Adrian Peterson was 6’1” 210lbs in high school who set the Freshman rushing record at Oklahoma with 1925 yards where he was a unanimous All-American and the first Freshman to finish second in the Heisman voting. Also the 3rd All-Time rushing leader in Oklahoma history. He experienced minimal success in the NFL where he was Offensive ROY, 2012 NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year. 4x First Team All-Pro, 7x Pro Bowler and 3x Rushing Leader with many more awards and finished his career with almost 15,000 rushing yards placing him 5th All-Time in history not to mention he rushed for 120 TD’s. That’s just a couple of guys that were men in high school who did pretty well for themselves. I could go on but I think I have made my point. It’s not about your size in high school, there are a lot of other factors such as injuries, work ethic, and personal problems that all factor in.

The Cleveland Clowns have…

The Cleveland Clowns have never played in a Super Bowl and went 1-15 followed by 0-16. Their failures rival and maybe even surpass the Detroit Lions. Very close teams in ineptitude if you look at the both during the era of the Super Bowl. But your point is well made. Dan Campbell has turned them around along with Ben Johnson. Drafting has been a huge part of their success. Hutchinson looks to be a future defensive player of the year and barring any setbacks he looks like a future Hall of Famer.

Well thankfully Smokey was…

Well thankfully Smokey was able to get “Big Perm’s” I mean “Big Worm’s” money after Craig knocked out Deebo in a physical altercation after Debbie confronted Deebo for beating up her beloved sister Felisha. Due to Craig being victorious and incapacitating Deebo, Smokey stole the $200 from Deebo’s shirt pocket. The same $200 that Deebo and Smokey had stolen from Stanley’s house earlier in the day. In the end Smokey and Craig were able to avoid retaliation from “Big Worm’s” goons and Smokey called “Big Worm” and told him that he did indeed have the $200 and he did not appreciate “Big Worm” putting out that hit on him. Smokey then vowed that he no longer be selling drugs and he was going to enter rehab. But Smokey being the trickster that was always up to some mischief said "I was just bullshittin'! And you know this, man!" Didn’t mean to step on your toes FauxMo but I just wanted to clear that up so people don’t get confused and think “Big Worm” and Smokey still have beef. Now people that may happen to run into either of them will know that the situation is squashed and they won’t have to worry about getting caught up in the war. But people should know that you should never mess with “Big Worm” because playing with his money is like playing with his emotions and it’s all about the principalities!! I will leave you with this “Red” had said that “Worm” smoked a fool for 50 bucks so it’s probably best to just stay away from “ Big Worm” at all costs if you don’t want to be looking over your shoulder 24/7.

The week after OSU plays PSU…

The week after OSU plays PSU they head to Camp Randall. That will not be a cake walk for them. I can see them losing there as that is a tough place to play especially with a first year starting QB and they should be a little beat up from the PSU game.

I’ve never used my left hand…

I’ve never used my left hand. I heard you get different sensations that way. I’m right handed and I always heard you would go blind from doing that but nobody ever mentioned carpal tunnel. But it makes complete sense. Also I watch videos when I’m doing that. I’m not into music/Killers like that but to each his own I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

Deion’s son can spin the…

Deion’s son can spin the ball and Hunter looks like he’s playing both sides of the ball. I don’t think Colorado is going to be that good but if they make a bowl game I would consider that as a successful season for them. With all the turnover in players and coaches it will probably be a rough season for Colorado but they do have a couple of nice players and might shock someone that’s looking past them. Coach Prime is running that team like a business which I consider to be all that is wrong with college football. He took several scholarships from kids that probably grew up hoping to play for Colorado. He may have not actually taken their scholarships but he pretty much forced a lot of kids into the transfer portal. If Deion has any kind of success doing what he has done with Colorado, you will probably see a lot of programs being run like that in the future. I hate everything about it. College is supposed to be amateur athletics and running a program like a business is not what the NCAA is supposed to be about. I loved Deion as a player at FSU, also as a professional football/baseball player but the way he’s running Colorado is scummy. I hope this blows up in his face and he’s back to coaching a team nobody cares about except the players family and friends. These types of people will ruin what’s left of the small sliver of amateurism that college sports still have. This is the main reason I have loved college sports more than professional sports. Kids are busting their asses to get a contract hopefully in 3/4 years of college. If they don’t get a contract at least they have a degree and can contribute to society in a different way. Not saying you need a college degree to be a productive member of society but it’s at least something they will always have along with the memories of grinding day in and day out with their teammates. The transfer portal and NIL make it so that kids couldn’t care less about an allegiance to a school. Now it’s all about who’s going to get me on the field the fastest and pay me the most to go to their school. Rivalries are dying because of schools jumping to other conferences. Like Diddy said back in the 90’s, it’s all about the Benjamin’s baby!! That’s a sad state of affairs but it is what it is and life goes on.

Every mock draft out right…

Every mock draft out right now has JTT going in the first round

I wouldn’t say JTT and…

I wouldn’t say JTT and Sawyer are busts. Both are probably first round draft picks in next years NFL draft. With JTT potentially going in the top 10. That’s just a terrible take from you. Also, let’s not forget the Bosa brothers and Chase Young who were high first round picks with Nick Bosa being the reigning NFL defensive player of the year. OSU has a lot of selling points to defensive line recruits. You can hate everything about that program but those are facts as much as I hate to admit it.

I just have to complete 25…

I just have to complete 25 classes over the summer and they assured me that I would be eligible. Is Rich Rod still going to be my head coach?? I’ve had my nose in the books so long I haven’t been able to keep up with the football team much lol

Most people don’t even know the story but have opinions that they heard from others and when they are asked about their stance they can’t back it up with any facts but will die on that hill of ignorance

Do your own research and then make opinions based on that

I know information is hard to find these days with everything within a click of a mouse and you may have to take 15 minutes to research a topic

If you don’t think Denver is…

If you don’t think Denver is talented you are living under a rock. They have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. If they had a head coach that wasn’t a complete moron they would probably be a playoff team this year imo. It takes two to tango and hopefully Harbaugh declines so much as an interview. Please please please let Michigan continue to have nice things!!

I don’t care what any recruiting service says

JSN maybe 5⭐️ but he made a business decision not to play all year

Having 5⭐️ athletes looks good on paper but if they aren’t on the field or putting in the work to make the team better because of a personal agenda then it’s just a wasted scholarship

Give me Bell, Wilson, or Johnson over guys like that every year

The biggest difference to me…

The biggest difference to me with the defense is last year they seemed to not be set all the time and they had a lot of trouble with substitutions. I would really like to have seen what Minter could have done with the defense last year when they had three first round talents on that side of the ball. McDonald was a really good coordinator but Minter seems more organized to me. Also Mike Morris has become a monster this year. I’ve always loved Michigan teams that have defenses that are dominant and the offense can run the ball at will and control the clock. Minter has done a remarkable job and they will only get better as they get players in the system for 3-4 years. Couldn’t have asked for a better replacement for McDonald. Especially with the loses the defense had to the NFL draft. Losing the leadership from last year most thought the defense would take a step back but they are just as good if not better. Hopefully Minter will become Michigan’s Brent Venables and be on the sidelines for many years to come.

I still watch that game on…

I still watch that game on occasion. I remember having a few friends over to watch it live and when it looked like Michigan was done and was definitely going home to watch the rest of the tournament like fans my friends had left my apartment and as I was cleaning up the empty beer cans and paper plates with pizza crusts left on them I had the game on of course and I was occasionally glancing at the tv as I was finishing cleaning up my occasional glancing quickly became sitting back on the couch and watching with unbelief as the Wolverines steadily closed the gap and I began to fire text messages at my friends who had departed that Michigan had went on a run and had made it a game again. As I watched I really didn’t believe that they would come all the way back and win the game because I had seen so many games where teams had given their best efforts but had either run out of time or just couldn’t make enough shots and get enough stops against a really good team like Kansas to actually come all the way back and eventually win the game but little did I know that Michigan had a real life Superman himself on the team named Trey Burke who would nail a 3 point shot from about 30 feet with bodies falling all around him to actually tie the game with about 6 seconds left. I could not believe what I had just witnessed with nobody around me to high five or look at with amazement I just sat on my couch with goosebumps and thought I can not believe what I had just seen and we all know what happened from there and the rest is a storybook moment in Michigan basketball and NCAA tournament history. That was one of the greatest games I have ever seen in NCAA tournament history. What a team effort and what an amazing game. I still get chills just thinking about the effort that team gave that night. You can watch basketball for the rest of your life and you still might not see another game like that. What a time to be alive!!

Not to nitpick but McCarthy…

Not to nitpick but McCarthy said:

“I take full responsibility for all those that have missed on. My arm was feeling like 110% today, and it’s been a while since it’s felt like that. So just being able to go through the practice practices this week and be able to adjust and dial it back a little bit more. It’s gonna be huge.”

Not only would I be in favor…

Not only would I be in favor of alcohol sales but I would also be in favor of cannabis sales as well. Might as well let the university make as much money as possible to throw at NIL. I’m not a smoker but I do like the smell of it and I will partake in the occasional gummy so I think that would be a cool experience that would be the Michigan difference. Just keep loading up the NIL cannon. I understand the cons and that it would probably never happen because little kids are at the stadium and that’s just not a good look but I’m just saying it wouldn’t bother me one bit if they sold alcohol and cannabis. I just remember that alcohol was not enough for me to swallow the App. St. loss when I was in attendance and had tailgated before the game and had brought my flask into the stadium with me. I could have used a few gummy’s or several blunts during that disaster. I would have liked to completely erase that experience from my mind that day.

Leipold seems to be a great…

Leipold seems to be a great coach. He has turned Kansas into one of the highest scoring teams in the country. You say there’s no way he’s beating Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas or even Oklahoma State and Iowa State but if you have watched the first 3 weeks of college football you would have seen that App. St., Marshall, Southern Illinois,  Washington, Eastern Michigan would tell you that anything is possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kansas beat at least 1 of those teams that you mentioned they have no way of beating. If I were Trev Alberts, Leipold is the choice. He’s won everywhere he’s been, he has ties to the university as he was once an assistant in Lincoln. Plus I think if he lands the job at Nebraska he will be there for a long time as that would be a job that if he were able to right the ship he would be loved and make a lot of money. I haven’t heard that he has aspirations of being an NFL head coach but then again I don’t know his career goals because I don’t know him. I just think that a guy like that is the best bet if you want someone who seems to be doing things the right way. He doesn’t have a checkered past and seems to have a bright future in major college football. If he doesn’t get the Nebraska job he is going to get a major job somewhere because turning Kansas around is no easy task. He will have more resources at Nebraska and the B1G West is much easier to win than the B1G East. All those factors make it an easy choice to me.

The only kid I can think of…

The only kid I can think of that was probably good enough and had the body for the NBA straight out of high school in the last 10 years is Zion.

Right. Just look at how easy…

Right. Just look at how easy it was for Eric Bieniemy to go from NFL OC to NFL HC. Either he interviews like shit or he has the wrong color of skin. My guess is the latter but I’ve never sat in on an interview with him so I could be wrong.

The people that booed…

The people that booed McNamara should be ashamed of themselves and should not consider themselves real Michigan fans. That kid has poured everything he has into that program. He beat Ohio State and took them to their first playoff appearance. He deserves nothing but respect. It really disgusted me when I heard the crowd boo him. It is clear that it’s McCarthy’s time and he is the better quarterback but how soon some of us forget the misery the team went through before he was able to accomplish those things.

I would say Cowherd is far…

I would say Cowherd is far from a genius. In an interview with another idiot named Urban Meyer, Cowherd asked Meyer how he let Joe Burrow get out of Ohio when recruiting. Cowherd had absolutely no knowledge that Burrow had indeed been on Ohio State and had transferred to LSU. I’m not saying Cowherd should know where every kid that attended college went to school and for how many years and if they transferred where they went throughout their entire career but when talking about a kid that had a season that was maybe one of the best that a college QB has ever had Cowherd should have at least that knowledge that Burrow had indeed been on Meyers roster. Especially when you are interviewing Meyer. The interviewer should have done a little bit of homework and known that before asking the question to Meyer and looking like a complete dope on tv in front of a national audience. So in conclusion Cowherd is a moron and Meyer is an asshole and not for letting Burrow transfer to LSU without giving him a shot to play but for so many more reasons that I would get carpal tunnel trying to list them and even if I did list them I’m sure I couldn’t list them all because the list is longer than anyone knows. Harbaugh is a genius as far as I’m concerned. He has won pretty much everywhere he’s been and doesn’t have to cheat or be standing on third base when he takes the job to be successful. He has taken several programs that were basement dwellers and turned them into winning respectable programs. Sure interviewing for the Vikings job probably was not the smartest move as far as recruiting goes but even geniuses make mistakes. The key is that you learn from your mistakes and don’t repeat them. He’s the only coach to take an NFL team to the playoffs and a college team to the playoffs. Very few guys have a resume that Harbaugh does.

I thought RG3 did a good job…

I thought RG3 did a good job today. To me there are a lot of guys they could have put in as commentator that would have been way worse. Doug Flutie comes to mind as boring as hell. RG3 knows football and I thought he did a fine job. The Orji comment is probably why you are saying this but don’t let one comment base the entirety of the body of work. I believe RG3 is relatively new to this so with that in mind I would give him a B+ for his work today. I think he will get better and have nothing but respect for those guys. It’s not easy to call a game and there have been a lot of guys that are way worse than RG3 that have been doing it for years.

Not trying to be a dick…

Not trying to be a dick rice4114, but those stats you post are absolutely useless when making a best on this game. You have completely different players and in Illinois case a different coach. Using the last 5 years stats or any type of numbers for this game will do nothing for you. For me the best things to look at for this bet is by looking at how Illinois played last week and the opponent they played against and how the opponent stacks up against Indiana. Do they run any of the same schemes?? Are their players comparable against the players of Indiana?? I would mainly focus on where the publics money is going and what type of movement have you seen this week in the spread and the total. Vegas ideally wants the bets to be 50/50. Some games you will see 80% of the money on one side. Then I would try to figure out why the public is betting so heavily one way. Vegas was built on losers, so the public is hardly right. I look at bets and if you have a team or total getting 70% or more of the money I see if what type of adjustment they make to that particular number. Is it moved up or down. I feel that it’s better to place bets on where the money is going and I feel it is always best to fade the public. Also looking at the players on each team. Are the new players good for the scheme the coach runs on offense and defense. Are the players starting upper or under class men?? I could go on and on but looking at what a team has done the last 5 years in a league where the players are changing very rapidly in those 5 years just doesn’t do you any justice. Those numbers would just be coincidences. Sorry if you don’t like my take. I could explain a lot more of types of things to look at for these bets like who has placed the biggest individual wager and where was that?? You need to look much deeper than how a team has done the last 5 years to become a successful gambler. Those are trends and I wouldn’t put much stock into trends. Just something to think about but do what makes you comfortable. It’s your money.
Good Luck with your plays and as always,

Go Blue!!

Number 39 on that list has…

Number 39 on that list has to be number 1 on the list of top 100 names headed into the year. Bumper Pool. What a great name for a LB. His parents must have a great sense of humor. Or maybe he was conceived on a billiards table. However it happened I give his parents a A+ for creativity while signing the birth certificate!! Well done Mr. and Mrs. Pool

I don’t understand why…

I don’t understand why Michigan has such a difficult time recruiting QB’s. Is it because they are a run first offense and they don’t turn the QB loose and have him throw 50 times a game?? Harbaugh before arriving at Michigan was a QB whisper. I never expected Michigan to have such a difficult time recruiting QB’s. Especially kids from the state of Michigan. Hopefully JJ will be the guy they turn loose at some point and they show that they are willing to open up the offense and get him drafted high in the first round. When Harbaugh first got to Michigan and made Rudock look much better than he had at Iowa I thought the QB’s would be lining up to play for a coach that was able to get Josh Johnson to the league and turned Andrew Luck into a household name. But the QB’s have been average at best until McNamara and McCarthy. Michigan will most likely be a run first team again this year with what I think will be one of if not the best RB tandem in the country. At some point they need to show that they can get a QB drafted in the first round but until they open up the offense and show that they can do that it’s going to be difficult to get a great QB. NIL has probably hurt them in the Moore situation but Harbaugh knows what it takes to play in the league as he once played there and coached there as well. It just boggles my mind that they whiffed on Carr and Moore. On to the next guy I guess. They had better get the QB recruiting situation figured out because a team really is only as good as their QB. Defense doesn’t win championships. Offense sells tickets and wins games when you have a QB that has the ball in his hand at the end of a close game and can make plays to win those games.
