Totally agree on Windmon…

Totally agree on Windmon issue, he needs a suspension as well. And I see what you mean. Definitely puts more pressure on B1G to actually do something for once, and thus helping prevent it from happening again.

What happened is disgusting…

What happened is disgusting and those MSU players who swung helmets, threw punches and kicked should be held accountable and punished accordingly. Additionally if any evidence shows Michigan players instigated or were physically violent they too should be held accountable and punished.

I understand Harbaugh’s anger and concern, but I do wish that he would handle this a little differently. He’s overstating the video and calling out Mel Tuckers lack of personal apology. While I agree that Tucker should reach out, he is showing that he’s working with the university to handle this properly. They’ve already suspended those who are clearly shown committing those acts. Give them time. I mean look at how Saban didn’t punish a player who struck a fan.

I’d rather see Michigan and MSU collaborate on this fiasco and settle it professionally then keep calling each other out for it. I read someone say that this is turning into “how people argue about politics these days” and Michigan is better than that. And I think this rivalry should be better than that. MSU has almost all of the blame to shoulder for that right now, but Michigan needs to show poise/take the high ground and work to prevent something like this from happening again.

In regards to the criminal charges, I’m surprised but not against it. If serious harm was caused with a weapon that is more than enough grounds for assault. Just wish it never came to something like this.

And for the tunnel, I don’t think it’s the problem but they need a protocol to prevent more confrontations. I don’t think it’s a problem and it shouldn’t be, but a few bad things can ruin a generally good thing, and I think that’s the case here. It’s annoying but simply separating the teams completely can prevent this, albeit 1/1000, type of event from happening again.

Finally, although you’d like to see support staff play mediator, I don’t think we can blame them. These are grown strong men in pads using helmets as weapons. If you have a family, do you really think it’s worth the risk of yourself getting hit in the head? I’m honestly not sure. And seeing that situation and judging what they should do versus actually being there are totally different. I work in a profession that deals with life and death, and until you’re conditioned and trained to deal with that type of situation, most tend to panic. I have more criticism for law enforcement that may have been there and did not act, because that’s why they’re there.

Maybe I’m wrong but…

Maybe I’m wrong but considering multiple previous schools, would assume a grad transfer and can play immediately? Given M’s history of not accepting people.

38-34 Big Blue.

OSU gets a late TD to pull it close but onside kick fails. Crowd storms the field. Liquor stores and dispensaries sell out of product. Couches and dumpsters burn. All is right in the world.

#1 for sure. I was at games…

#1 for sure. I was at games in 2003 and 2011. Honestly almost forget what it felt like. For my lifetime though, this would be far and above anything. If it happens, it completely changes things for Michigan as it would be a huge step. I also would party so hard there would be a chance I don’t make it to Sunday.

I used to wonder how it was…

I used to wonder how it was so fun, but then I did when I partied with some friends at osu. Also threw a large box tv off the third story into a backyard. They’re dumb and stupid ideas, but they’re college kids. Let them have fun. I wish our students could more often.

The fact that it seems like…

The fact that it seems like he’s drawing this out shows that he still hasn’t changed how he goes about his daily business with the program, so why should I expect different results going forward.

Next, please!

Need to get at least on DT…

Need to get at least one DT from transfer portal, likely 2. A CB would be nice as well.

Another thing to keep in mind is hopefully getting a DL coach/defensive coordinator that can coach these kids up and play a scheme that actually progresses our DLine. That alone would help a lot.

Yeah completely agree…

Yeah completely agree. Especially considering that team was almost entirely Hoke recruits.

Brown has to go now.

Brown has to go now.

Harbaugh will last the season but needs to go.

Don’t blame Gattis that much. Starting OTs were out and you have to imagine he is handcuffed by Harbaugh at least a little. But if Harbaugh is gone, he won’t last.

There is no energy. Watching Indiana’s sideline they were full of energy and enthusiasm the entire game. I haven’t seen that in a Michigan team in a while. Maybe Tom Allen is a good candidate, maybe not. But, if we had that type of energy and cohesion amongst our team with the talent we can recruit, you would think that we would compete on a yearly basis.

Time for Brown to go. Go…

Time for Brown to go. Go sell out and get an experienced defensive mind who can recruit like Larry Johnson or Todd Bates from Clemson. Both have excellent recruiting records and can coach the defensive line which I think is only going to get worse based on our recruiting.

This is spot on. I blame…

This is spot on. I blame Brown for failing to change his approach. These days offenses are designed to get fast receivers in space and downfield, yet we continuously leave guys on islands to burn us. I’m watching OSU right now who has solid corners every year, and they consistently help over the top with safeties. Then again they can get pressure with just their line and we can’t.

If Michigan chose to part…

If Michigan chose to part ways with Harbaugh (which they won’t under any circumstance this year I believe) then pushing for a guy like Fickell would be best.

That being said that won’t happen. Fickell would probably never consider coming here.

Like others have said in this thread you need a complete break/change in culture and approach. “The team the team the team” crap and things the program has been holding on for 40 years is not helping. There are too many that think Michigan belongs because of what they have done. When in fact they don’t belong because of what they are doing now.

Sucks if true. Hopefully can…

Sucks if true. Hopefully can stay under control and limited to those two teams only for now. Wisconsin and Illinois are not doing well in terms of COVID numbers right now so not surprised that these are the two teams affected. Although, seems like the source was Wisconsin.

Of course, which are of even…

Of course, which are of even more concern. It’s a great point because myocarditis has been pushed so hard as the fear, that other complications are overlooked. Still, in young relatively healthy/active adults I believe those cases to be a low percentage (unsure if there are actual statistics, just my best guess from what I have encountered).

I think 14 days is sufficient if the data supports.

I think this is good news,…

I think this is good news, and if some sort of actual data and numbers come out in the coming weeks then that could spur a change in B1G’s protocol.

I work as a cardiology PA at a relatively large hospital and have personally seen zero Covid related myocarditis cases that I’ve had to care for. And I haven’t heard of any in our practice. Although, very few tests such as echocardiograms and cMRI’s have been conducted on the Covid patients we have been consulted on because they are in isolation. Also to be considered is the fact that the vast majority of patients I’m speaking of aren’t undergoing the type of physical exertion these athletes are.

Just need a more innovative…

Just need a more innovative and modern passing game. Definitely showed a lot of spread this year but Michigan was never a team that could throw all over anyone. I don’t think Patterson hit 300 yards once this year and all the top teams hit that mark many times this year. And in my opinion Patterson is capable of throwing for that much in the right passing offense. Harbaugh’s offense is innovative but it does not favor the pass and that has to change for Michigan to compete with the very top teams

10-2

I thought that the season was over on Saturday after the loss but looking back I think the team will grow from this. I think we lose a close one to Wisconsin but then win out from there. Yes, that means I think we beat MSU and OSU on the road, and in doing so we change the perception that Michigan has had over the past decade or so. It has to happen sometime and I still think this year we have the best chance to do so. Then we will play Wisconsin in the B1G championship and get revenge.

Normally I would be with the rest of you saying 8-4/9-3, but I’m sick of just expecting M to crass and fall after losing a big game. I believe in Harbaugh and this team is loaded with talent. There’s no reason the line can not grow and improve, and I believe that will happen over these next few weeks and the team will prosper.

Go Blue

Shea threw for 225 with that…

Shea threw for 225 with that OL play. Very impressed given the circumstances and at times questionable play calling. I wish they would just put some young guys at the tackles for these next three games, get through the growing pains, and gear up for the tough stretch.

28-14 UM.

I have road doubts but knowing they have an offense that isn’t stellar and will struggle throwing the ball, I find it hard to believe our D gives up much. We turn it over and give them an easy TD and their offense will muster one at home.

I think we are up 7 late and score a defensive touchdown to put it out of reach.

Great to see!

Michigan has been getting so much talent and it’s awesome to see they found a coach to bring it up! HUGE WIN! Go Blue!!

That shot of Haas after the halftime score reminded me of Drago when he knew Rocky had won! Go Blue, let’s get the big one!

Glad you mentioned the

Glad you mentioned the screens because I don't think we have thrown one to a RB all year. I would love to see a few of those run next week. Also, I still feel like we could use the TEs more. McKeon has been reliable when thrown to on the quick outs and Bunting, TWJ, and Gentry are all mismatches with their size. I think integrating both of those types of plays more would do wonders for our running game and red zone efficiency.

TV timeouts

This isn't really related and feel free to neg, but damn the amount of TV timeouts is out of control. We talk about officiating messing up the game, but anytime ESPN/ABC does a game the amount of and length of timeouts just kills the flow of the game. Not to mention you end up needing over 4 hours to complete a game.

Big Ten success is important but the innate arrogance of the majority of osu's fanbase leads to me always rooting against them. Boomer Sooner.

I know we have lost 2/3, but our QB was hurt in the end of one and we lost in double OT on the road to number 2. So if Washington loses tonight, I just don't get how you could choose PSU/Wisconsin or Colorado over a team that beat ALL of them.

He would be for sure. But if he gets cleared then I guess the risk isn't that big. In reference to what the injury actually is, my guess is as good as yours.

Actually heard today on the radio (1050) that it is a small fracture in the collarbone, but at the proximal part or close to the sternum. If that's the case then his shoulder should be pretty stable still and it's all about being able to play through pain. Again, just what I heard and am just relaying that.
