04/16/2015 - 10:03pm Having seen both play in

Having seen both play in person at the HS level, I think Morgan is a good example.

Morgan was a bit more athletic, competition better too. But not worlds apart, by any means.

04/16/2015 - 9:52pm I'm sure you don't care nor

I'm sure you don't care nor need to be validated. But I have no connection to Austin and no real connection to Onsted and I have been told everything you just said, by several different people. So yea. I'd agree that he's a kid a lot of people have on their radar.

04/16/2015 - 9:47pm I think you're being quite

I think you're being quite fair. And given my perception of the scholarship situation I find it to be an odd offer. But as I said, Bo Ryan was very interested, and I believe (hearsay admittedly) ND's coach attended a game as well, so it's not like he's some random player.

04/16/2015 - 9:34pm I've seen him play in person

I've seen him play in person at least 5 times. You're assessment isn't really wrong. Athleticism may be an issue. Competition is suspect to say the least. But everything I have ever been told is that he's a great worker, smart kid.

Bo Ryan has watched him in person several times as well. Bigs, especially 6'10 bigs, develop late.

01/16/2014 - 2:16pm Totally Agree

Double Post..... derp.

01/16/2014 - 2:15pm Totally Agree

Even if it is not true, my brain processes Brandon Graham=Magnus. When I picture him as I read posts, I picture Brandon Graham speaking.

Come to think of it.....same way with His Dudeness and Woodson.

01/01/2014 - 8:47pm The whole 4 play series

Was a complete disaster. No hurry up. No imagination.

You have 4 plays to not only get a first down, but also to take shots downfield. Instead they burn two minutes of clock and gain 9 yards.

12/20/2013 - 11:42am Girl...

So, uh, who's the girl in the scrolling pictures?

I'd love it if it is just the generic stand in used for that particular graphic and she was intentionally left in the mix.

Also, good write-up.

12/18/2013 - 11:57am The AD

issued a statement of support. Only condemded the specific use of player's names and said the fans love the coach.

12/18/2013 - 11:55am Coach Hoke

I kinda wondered how the board would react to this because there is so much consternatation regarding Hoke's pressers.

Granted, this is a total extreme... the complete opposite end of the spectrum, but I'd gladly take Coach Hoke's "coachspeak" over this any day.... especially calling out specific players.

12/12/2013 - 4:08pm Buzz

Buzz! Your girlfriend....Woof!

12/12/2013 - 1:41pm Yea I know

but the PGB handle reminds me THE PROCESS days when we were all avoiding work and pouring our hearts into speculation.......

12/12/2013 - 1:13pm profit

I'm just happy profitgoblue is back.

I asked for his return about two weeks ago!

12/08/2013 - 12:21am You

Are the one that clicked on it. You are the one who continues to post. Don't like the thread? Don't read it, don't post in it.

12/08/2013 - 12:16am Very

Well said. Being happy and acknowledging a good season aren't the same thing. Me? Not happy. But I also see that work Dantonio has done and understand what he and his staff accomplished.

12/08/2013 - 12:13am Thanks.

I was just thinking we need someone who can judge REAL Michigan fans based on their message board postings.

11/30/2013 - 11:16pm So

I just looked up halcyon days on Wikipedia.

11/30/2013 - 10:53pm Great post

I thought about this concept after the minny game when we scored over 40 points and blew them out and he was still filled with ennui.

Some will say that he gets paid and this is his choice.... And with that come knuckleheads. But, I can see that wearing one down a bit.

11/30/2013 - 10:46pm Yea

I can see that point. Fair enough.

11/30/2013 - 10:34pm I think this is just what fandom is

Fandom has become about negativity. How many Michigan fans said they hoped blue lost this week for one reason or another? I read a lot on this board.

It's just easier to be negative for a lotta folks and make it about them. Personally, this is the best I've felt after a loss in my 26 years of fandom. I thought they played inspired football today.

11/30/2013 - 10:22pm Bring back profitgoblue

That's the issue here

11/30/2013 - 10:01pm Brian

I have been reading since haloscan days. I usually don't agree with Brian on much. But the dude gives us a great product. For free. The board has been awful this year. But some of the front page content this year has been top notch.

11/30/2013 - 9:33pm Is jhon harbaugh

Named after Jhonny Peralta?

11/30/2013 - 9:00pm Today

The passion and fight this team had today was at a level that has been missing for many parts of the last decade. When was the last time their effort stood out like it did today?

11/30/2013 - 8:54pm Clark

I was there and saw it plain as day. Clark made a gesture with his hand (honestly I don't know what it was meant to convey) at yelled something. The official was right there and threw the flag after the hand gesture stopped.

11/30/2013 - 6:27pm Doesn't say much

That wiscy team getting dominated at home as we speak.

11/30/2013 - 6:04pm That sucks.

I have had season tix since I was 2 (26 years) and I never had a visiting contingent be so prevalent around me. My dad and I were pretty anxious about it. But when the game started it was fine. Guess I got lucky. The older guy next to me even apologized for his player throwing a punch!

11/30/2013 - 5:55pm So.

What your saying is, you didn't like the call?

11/30/2013 - 5:53pm I was worried

I have heard a lot of horror stories about OSU fans. And, the area around my seats were completely full of buckeyes. I was worried it was gonna be awful. But they were actually fine, and an older gentleman next to me was quite nice to share the game with. I was shocked.

03/31/2013 - 4:35pm Fire Beilein!

I think he's done a great job building the program. I just don't think he can take us to next level. We can't shoot FT, develop big men.... Rabble, rabble, rabble.

It's amazing to think where we were 3 weeks ago. Final Four! Go blue.

02/02/2013 - 11:45pm So you are 19 now?

UM won there in 2008-2009. Massive comeback capped by a Laval-Lucas Perry three if I recall correctly.

02/02/2013 - 11:40pm No,

Watching Nik miss everything all first half and GR3 all game long did. That, couple with no back to the basket type post player (or philosophy) is going to force your PG into that position.

02/02/2013 - 11:34pm You are

Probably also glad Denard is gone too....

Burke is the best point guard in the nation. Even if Walton is solid, it will be a step back at the most important position.

Not saying they fall off a cliff, but to suggest they'd be better without Burke is a bit of a stretch.

01/16/2013 - 7:30pm The day

RDT was exposed was one of the best days on this blog. Maybe RDT is really Manti Te'o.

10/28/2012 - 5:02pm I think

Darrell Funk is one of the best Oline coaches in the country. I think losing Molk has had a negative impact that is beyond measure.

Molk could single handedly elevate those around him with his play. He is very much missed.

10/28/2012 - 12:59am Not that it matters

But I think this is one of the most rational posts of the night.

People see 11-2 and certain returning starters and assume progress.

But some key cogs from last season are gone and the improved opposition + playing on the road has taken its toll.

10/28/2012 - 12:53am Very

Good analysis.

10/28/2012 - 12:51am Yes, of course

Because Al Borges decided to force denard to turn the ball over five times in one of those games, and hurt is elbow in another.

It's all his fault. I agree.

10/28/2012 - 12:44am So a timeout

On a drive in which Nebraska gained 5 first downs, without throwing a pass, gives Michigan a chance to win a game they trail by two touchdowns?

I can agree with the "Sending a message" but that's about it.

10/28/2012 - 12:37am Maybe it isn't Borges

Maybe it's the loss of the best center on the land, a big play WR, a veteran tight end that can block and catch (as opposed to two tight ends that seem to only be able to do one of those), another SR OL, and a great 4 yr starting WR.

Maybe you could say the coaches should be able to elevate the replacements, but the fact is that while some of them are serviceable and have their moments, this offense is just not as talanted.

10/28/2012 - 12:31am You'd have to stop them first

Which, wasn't going to happen. Nebraska gained 56 yards on that last drive. Without attempting a pass. Calling a timeout doesn't do anything.

10/28/2012 - 12:26am Maybe

Nobody will ever be happy with play calling around here though. You throw too much against bama, people cry fro denard's legs. You run too much, they say air it out. He throws 5 ints, they say throw bubble screens. They play conservative to protect the ball, they say this is boring. You lose the starting QB and they say why can't the OC get recovers open.

Maybe mgoblog should just takeover play calling. Use the live blog or something, then text the play to Borges..

10/28/2012 - 12:20am ?

What would timeouts have accomplished? The D was gassed and at that point Nebraska was running at will, picking up first downs without even considering throwing. Timeouts don't change that.

10/28/2012 - 12:16am Hmm...

Maybe the common denominator there isn't poor play calling, but rather the lack of talented qb play.

You want the OC to be aggressive and tailor the whole offense to a freshmen QB in three quarters after working on an entirely different gameplan all week?

Doesn't work like that in real life.

09/11/2012 - 8:19pm Roll Damn Tide

No one believe a word of this thread. This is simply Roll Damn Tide. Up to the old antics.

06/13/2012 - 11:20am Yes

Yes.

03/22/2012 - 5:53pm Fat squirrel

Is a little heavier. But it is really hard to find something on the level of spotted cow.

03/22/2012 - 5:52pm Suprised

How good it is. Especially around the holidays when apple goes with everything you eat.

03/22/2012 - 3:36pm What

Is your disposition on the Fat Squirrel or Apple Ale?

Spotted Cow is great.... Have relatives in Wiscy that bring me some new glarus around the holidays
