Venue is a new place near Crisler. The mgoblog guys rave about it, and not just because it’s a sponsor ;).

got the official app

It crashed twice within the first 30 seconds.  Wasn't even doing anything tricky, just trying to load the front page.

I loved the HD app and paid beveled guilt, purchased MGoTShirts, etc.  I know you got mouths to feed, and the blog is amazing, but surely there's a better way...

I prefer 28. I prefer 28.

well said

Beautifully stated.

PS: the quote "don't agree, defend your right" was Evelyn Hall's description of Voltaire's general approach to free speech, not an actual quote from him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evelyn_Beatrice_Hall

From The Story 2015: From The Story 2015: "Harbaugh is part of Michigan's DNA, arrogant and weird and irascible and unable to suffer fools. The Bo drips off him. And he is good. So damn good. His goal after coaching is to die. He is of Michigan; now he is Michigan."

Until recently I had never heard Harbaugh say "play, coach, die." Did I miss it, or is Harbaugh taking notes from Brian Cook??

fan of UM football

From first-hand knowledge, I can say that he is a fan of UM football, and has a picture of himself with Lloyd Carr in his office.

That's good enough for me!

Loved it

Sounded great here in Section 21.  Best halftime show I have ever seen!

kick no workie

By rule, if he does this it's an illegal kick and the opposing team gets the ball at the spot of the kick (maybe plus half the distance?).  So he'd have to throw it or run it out of the endzone to get a safety.

I have seen several Michigan I have seen several Michigan players in these, but couldn't tell who. They were very noticeable in the first game.
Seconded

I programmed a lot before ever encountering LISP (Scheme), but nothing else has had even half the effect on my outlook on programming, and CS is general.

well that escalated quickly

Homoiconicity is great, but give me type safety and embedded domain-specific languages as a sounder way to achieve similar effects.

I think we all can agree that higher-order functions and referential transparency (purity) Win The Game, though.

my first comment on mgoblog, ever

LISP is really elegant, but the syntax is nasty.  Haskell is where it's at!

(Where else but MGoBlog can you find jokes about computer programming languages alongside football recruiting talk??)
